Yesterday was not a good day for Kris Allen. While driving with his wife and dog, they were involved in a head on collision which left Kris with a broken arm that will require surgery today. While telling everyone that he was ok, Kris also let it be known that his wife is pregnant. Adam Lambert probably had a silent drink somewhere last night when he heard the news and then went and worked on his solo remake of Les Mis where he plays all the roles. Kris was supposed to start a tour later this month, but will have to be postponed indefinitely.

@Trey: that was my first thought too. Hahaha. I can't stand when people do that. Why drag your spouse and kids through all that grief? It's so self serving. Honesty up front is the way to go.

ReplyDeleteReminds me of funny story. When my daughter was 11, she had to look in the newspaper for a current events story and bring it in. She comes across this picture of a dog tied to a bridge, and cops looking in water. Turns out dogs owner had tied up dog, and then committed suicide by jumping off bridge. Daughter read it, and got very upset with tears. I tried to comfort her and explain sometimes people get sick in the brain and dont think right and commit suicide. She stopped crying, looked at me and said," not the man!!! What about the dog??!! He left him there all alone, tied up! What about the dog??!!" Famous family story, all true, lol

If I remember correctly, he won American Idol after talking about his first wife's death. I think that was what edged him out in the votes with Adam Lambert. Unless I'm thinking about someone completely different!

I'm wondering about the dog as well.

Yeah, Sauli Koskinen of Finland. He won a season of Finnish Big Brother. Huh, he's also a web reporter for Ilta-Sanomat, a tabloid. Shows how much I pay attention! I'm more of a YLE reader... but I digress.
The two spent either Christmas or New Year's Eve in Helsinki a couple years ago. They got into a drunken fight which got them arrested. Once the booze wore off, they made up.
