Her acting career might not be going gang busters, but Jennifer Aniston is still making commercials. This is one for a broadband company and they try and make it seem like Jennifer is in the coffee shop from Friends. Kind of.
That's not really fair...even the biggest movie stars do commercials overseas (this is a UK internet service) because they pay them a ridiculous amount of money and no one in the US sees it.
The idea is they get paid incredible amounts of money to do commercials in foreign countries but don't have to be seen "lowering" themselves to that type of mercenary endeavor in America...that ad was one of those funny-the-first-couple-of-times-you-see-it things. Anybody remember the hair care line Cher was shilling years ago? What was the woman's name?
@Robert Lori Davis! It was so funny when Jim Carrey parodied it on In Living Color. He played Lori Davis all over the women.
I get why the actors do the work overseas for the money, but do the people overseas by the stuff shilled by actors? Especially something like broadband which is specific to a place.
Many Many A+ actors do overseas commercials. They get a million or more for a days work! They would be fools not to. That commercial was cute, but the coffee shop didn't look anything like Central Perk. http://www.newser.com/story/111644/celebrity-commercials-abroad-17-of-the-funniest-ads-from-overseas.html
She must need a check.
ReplyDeleteIt's a cute commercial!! Love the ending!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was funny.
ReplyDeleteA check is a check.
ReplyDeleteHey she's got to pay for the trip to Cabo, right?
That was cute!
ReplyDeleteI was hoping Gunther would pop up
ReplyDeleteI was hoping Gunther would pop up too! Haha..
ReplyDeleteAnd Phoebe should be in the corner singing "Smelly Cat."
ReplyDeleteThat would have been funny!
ReplyDeleteAw, that was a fun commercial! I love how she tears the door off. How many have a had a too much coffee day?
ReplyDeleteLoved it!! Im sorry, she is just so appealing!

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, I love her.
ReplyDeleteI think it's great. It has an edge and is clever. Good choice for her.
ReplyDeleteI love her too. I think she just likes working.
ReplyDeleteDoddle? Hehe :D
ReplyDeleteI like her too..
ReplyDeleteI don't get Americans selling stuff overseas. Does anyone think Aniston is going to use a UK service when she lives in L.A.?

I auditioned for this :)
ReplyDeleteAmerican celebs are still revered in other countries, especially in Asian countries. They don't listen to the gossip, but they go for the glamour.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but if I see some British actor trying to sell me broadband, I would just laugh my ass off. I wouldn't run out to sign up.
ReplyDeleteCZJ did Verizon or something like that. No one batted an eye when she did those commercials!
