Thanks, Enty.Hope you have a mole planted for us.
ReplyDeleteI really don't want Girls to win a thing. Same for Zooey Deschanel. Blech.
ReplyDeletePuggle, and no Mandy Patinkin.
DeleteI stil can't believe Eric Stonestreet & Charlize are dating. Very excited to see Amy host tonight.
ReplyDeleteI think Ty Burrell is better than Eric stonestreet. cam's good, but Phil makes the show
ReplyDeleteJessica Chastain gets my vote. She's so fierce.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I demand Daniel Day Lewis speak as Lincoln if he wins. I think he's kinda hot.
I agree, Puggle. I can't deal with the Zooey.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I don't have any excitement for any awards shows, Oscars is about as far as my interest goes. I think it's more a big advertisement for shows/movies/stars/directors, etc. But I suppose it is good to reward good work and identify who's doing a great job. Kaley looks great in her People's Choice hosting gig. I've always been a little jealous of her since my Husband confessed that she's his celebrity crush. Grrrr. Not really her fault though..
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for Tina and Amy! I'm actually planning on watching this live.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to it. I love the GG, so much fun! And I for one, AM rooting for New Girl! :P
ReplyDeleteThe only category I care about is leading actor in a miniseries...Cumberbatch. I both hope he wins, he is awesome and hope he loses, nice to keep him secret a little longer.

ReplyDelete@plrtz glrb
ReplyDeleteI agree - Ty Burrell (Phil!) is absolutely the best thing about Modern Family. WHY DIDN'T I WEAR MY SHANTS???? I scream that in my head every time I see a gentleman wearing those while hiking

Awww, you don't like Mandy Patinkin? I think he's fantastic in every role he plays, particularly Homeland. Although I'm not sure if I'm making this up, but I believe he has left roles in a rather abrupt matter which has forced some rewrites. Do I have specific dreams about Mandy, or has this really happened? (Note to self: my dream cast of characters may need some work)
Sunny, Shamar intensely dislikes him. That' s good enough reason for shallow me:)
Delete@Sunny, I love Mandy. He is fabulous live, on stage and in concert, and amazingly talented.
DeleteShamar hates him??? Oh SNAP!
DeleteI watched Beasts of a Southern Wild and it is an incredible movie. That little girl, she gets me man. She got jipped with Globe noms.
ReplyDeleteI want to see Beasts of the Southern Wild! No one I know wants to see it though, so I think I may go on a date with myself this week to see it. I forgot to add that I hope Hathaway doesn't win. I haven't seen the movie, but I am feeling evil this afternoon, and she is so smug.
ReplyDeleteThis is tonight? Wow I was thinking it was in Feb. but I think that's the Oscars. I'm rooting for Bryan Cranston and Glenn Close.
ReplyDeleteThanks for going live, Enty! Don't know if I can join or not but I hope so! @Laura, you gonna break out your yummy drink?
ReplyDeletePuggle I had to force my friends to watch it and but after they were all stunned with how great the film was. Warning: you will cry.
ReplyDeleteUgh Anne was insufferable in Les Mis. That whole damn movie was insufferable, I only made to to Fantine dying before. I had to stop watching.
@sunny, no, that is what happens with Mandy P, we learned it here! I've been a fan since The Princess Bride, and will always love him. I already have my day planned around the Globes, starting with the preshow on E., and can't wait to see what Amy and Tina do with te hosting, I love awards show season!
ReplyDeleteSame with Anna. Except for the Oscars, I can't really watch awards shows anymore. The Globes are just too long and boring. A whole night of my life spent listening to awkward jokes and looking at people thank other people for an award that most of them really don't find that prestigious anyway. I'd rather just spend 30 minutes the next day on recaps and photo sets that have already been filtered for the "good" stuff.
ReplyDeleteHey @JSierra, where are you watching all of these movies? Is there a handy link involved? ;)
ReplyDeleteHandy link indeed Lotta. I haven't had any problems with it, but a friend of mine did get a virus from the site. And I have an HP, not one of those fancy fruit things, so as long as you have adblock and spyware you should be good. Just google let me watch this and click on the first link.
ReplyDeleteOkay, you got it online. Phew! I've been looking at different theaters nearby, none are playing it.
ReplyDeleteFancy fruit thing lol I'm too cheap to get one of those myself, thanks J!
ReplyDeleteHas anyone seen The Silver Linings playbook? Is it worth going to see?
ReplyDeleteI loved Zero Dark Thirty. Jessica Chastain was fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThe only other one I've seen is The Master, and Joaquin delivered as usual.
The TV category is tough, can I root for Homeland, Breaking Bad and Boardwalk Empire?!?
Baka yes, I really liked it! But see my post to Lotta above if you want to skip the theater cash cow.
ReplyDeleteYes, Silver Linings Playbook was enjoyable, but overall, I thought Zero Dark Thirty was a better movie.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see anything this year that wasn't Disney or Dreamworks.
ReplyDeleteI can't flip over to the GGs until football is over, but I hope to check in here to see what everyone is saying.
just finished watching Argo last night at 4am. Seen all the nominated movies this year.
ReplyDeleteCatching viruses or adware just to watch a movie.... NO
you need 2 things. winrar (free on cnet) and myrls(dot)me
there are 2 kinds of links, free and premium. Free are at bottom of post. free have lower download speeds and premium have fast. (premium does have free but you'll be there for 2 days downloading)
Download all the parts. winrar puts those parts back into 1 movie file. Burn that file to dvd or send to your tv with roku or apple tv. done.
ps. no, I don't run that site and sorry if this doesn't make sense. The football game is on.
@Agent
ReplyDeleteWell if Shamarrrrrrrrr doesn't like him . . . .
Thanks Rick, I'll have to check that out. Technology is not my friend so I usually just check out the first page of Google search and abandon all hope if I can't find anything there.
ReplyDeleteyep.
ReplyDeleteLes Misérables, silver linings playbook, Django unchained, life of pi, lincoln, zero dark thirty, the impossible, arbitrage, the sessions, flight, hyde park on hudson, argo, and anna karenina
there all available there.
Zero Dark Thirty was amazing. Tough to watch at times, but really excellent. I want it and Jessica Chastain to win.
ReplyDeleteI also want Joaquin and Leo to win. They more than deserve it.
If Anne Barfaway wins, I will throw something heavy at my TV. Same with Squinty Swift. She's nominated for best song. If they both win, then the Mayans were wrong and the apocalypse will be happening in 2013.
I never saw Girls. Is it really that bad?
just check damien lewis and claire danes. if they dont win, it is totally rigged
ReplyDeleteBecause the Bradley Cooper nomination baffled me, I ended up watching the trailer to, "Silver Linings Playbook", and now I want to see it. Bad.
