Blind Items Revealed

August 22, 2012

This former A list foreign born singer who is still probably angry inside despite a recent birth, but much less popular than back in the day was at an event honoring her and there were not that many people who showed up. Disappointing to say the least. There was one fan though who had driven up from San Diego and waited hours and hours and hours to see his all-time favorite. Our singer knew he was there but didn't bother to take a photo with the guy or sign anything or even say hi or even wave at him. Security kept telling the guy our singer was busy even though she wasn't and when she was finished with the event told her driver that she wanted to get out quickly because she didn't want to see anyone. Totally changed my opinion of her. Thought she had grown up and changed. Nope. Now I know why she and her ex were such a perfect match for each other. Competing to see who could be the most aloof.

Singer: Alanis Morissette
Event: Guitar Center Rock Walk in LA.
Aloof ex: Ryan Reynolds

  6. What a little bitch. A cousin of a friend (in Ottawa) went to school with her, and I heard the same thing from that girl.

  7. I thought a reader was there and said the reason for her behavior was that she had a stomach issue

  8. I can imagine her ego was bruised by the small turnout, so she blocked that aspect out and focused just on the stage. No excuse though.

  9. oh please cry me a river, at the height of her fame she ran away to India because it was "all too much" for her and she wanted to never record another album.

Oh how the worm turns when you aren't the prettiest girl at school anymore Alanis.

    Her music sucks anyway.

  10. Considering that she's not huge anymore... You would think she would spend time with her last remaining huge fans.... Such a shame.

  11. I went to high school with her.....she was like this then too.

  12. The jagged little pill must still be irritating her.
When will they ever realize that a small kindness will be repaid many times over.
If *alone* is what they want, then that is what they should get.

  13. That's really sad. I hate when fame goes to a celeb's head, especially when they're talented. :/ I hope the stomach issue thing is the reason and not her being a complete jerk to a fan.

One thing I don't get, though - what's the deal with the fan? He drove hours and hours and hours, how did she know he was there or even who he was? Did he have a meet & greet or something?

  14. Alanis...WHY???!!!

  15. No surprise here...I guess she's working on having no career.

  16. I can't stand her singing voice. She's a bitch, but I do give her props for somehow getting to be naked with Ryan Reynolds. Other than that, she sucks.

  17. I never understood her + Ryan. Just weird.

  18. It's too bad to keep reading that Reynolds is a douche. I had always liked him.

  19. Wow, I'm disappointed in her. But, I gotta say, this is believable.

  20. Maybe if he would have taken his shirt off.....a few more people would show up!

  21. What a bitch, I never understood why they put her on Weeds. Ishe was so out of place

  22. The original thread was freakin' funny.

  23. @Halle, I'm not so sure he is. I know I'd make a terrible famous person because I'd hate an endless succession of total strangers invading my space every time I stepped foot out of doors. It's just not natural and would freak me out.

  24. Maybe the fan was a creepy stalker?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Anyone stop to consider the possibility that this guy was known to her and (her?) security for stalkerish behavior? Reading between the lines in the description of the fan he seemed obsessive.

I was there that day. She was incredibly unfriendly, and when people started taking photos, she had her security guys go round the (small) crowd and watch them delete any shots or video they had taken. This included the kids.

  27. She seems like a real nutjob, and not in a good way. Can't stand her.

  28. HudsonJoe does bring up a good point and if this were the case, then I think her behavior may be warranted.

However...If this is just good ol' diva behavior, then she's pretty delusional for someone whose fame is hanging upon only one major hit album.

It's not just stuff with fans though. There have been other gossip things re: Ryan. One (can't remember if it was revealed or was just very easily guessed that it was Ryan/Blake) was about everything in his/their life being all about him (i.e. a very selfish guy). I'm sure there have been others too.

  31. How rude! Bitch probably wouldn't even go down on you in a theater.

    ReplyDelete
  32. She's always been rude...back in the day she was being interviewed backstage at some event in Canada and a reporter tried to lighten the mood by asking her "If you were an ice cream cone, what flavor would you be?" and she said, "I don't think that's really relevant right now", and walked away. I mean yeah, it was a silly question, but she could just have easily said "Chocolate!" or "Strawberry!" and walked off, big deal.

She is Canadian and so am I so I've always heard all these snippets about her in our media. Nothing really really horrible but enough that makes it clear she's not a friendly person and she doesn't go out of her way to make people feel comfortable. This blind is no surprise to me.

    ReplyDelete
  33. This is a weird blind, it clearly came from the waiting "fan", but how does the fan know she even knows he was there and how does he know she wasn't really busy?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Taylor Swift, look at your future! This is what happens to you when you run out of exes to write about.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Disappointing because I like her and her music. But I hope there is more to the story than this.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm taking this one w a grain of salt...it's just one pissed-off fan's perception, and very little was told about the entire circumstances of the event. This reminds me, I saw a recent interview w Katy Perry at an event where she had just met Carole King, and she talked about how influenced she was by "Tapestry" and then went on to say it was one of those pivotal, landmark albums like "Jagged Little Pill." I kind of cringed at putting those two albums on a similar plane....for one thing, Jagged Little Pill was completely manufactured by a producer (Shania's douchebag ex) as a marketing ploy to "rebrand" Alanis as a rocker chick instead of the pop tartlet she was before that!

    ReplyDelete
  37. So this story is about her not wanting to hang with a stalker?

    ReplyDelete
  38. BS. She's absolutely nothing like this at all

    ReplyDelete
  39. DontRainOnMyPrada - Pop tartlet, indeed!

From her 1991-ish song "Oh Yeah"

My name is Alanis, I'm a white chick singer
The drums are a-smokin' and so's the bass
Shake your thing (chika chika chika, cha)
When you sing (chika chika chika, ooh yeah)
Just sixteen (chika chika chika, cha)
No disco queen (chika chika chika, oh yeah)

Pretend you're Sean Connery and sing it like you think he would.

  40. Zeeky, you got there first! Checking out the early Alanis work is a must for any Serious Music Fan.

That said, I cannot think of anyone that could have done the part in Dogma as well as she did. Kudos for that.

  41. how do we know she knew he was there? Also perhaps she knew he was there because he is ALWAYS there and creeps her out.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Anonymous8:59 AM

There's a fine line between die hard fans and stalkers, the least she could have done was be gracious and thank him for worshipping her.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'm not surprised; anyone who willingly marries someone who goes by the name "Souleye" is obviously a huge douche.
