Barbara Walters Hospitalized After Falling

Over the weekend, Barbara Walters was attending a party at the British Ambassador's house when she fell on some stairs and ended up cutting her forehead. Apparently it was considered serious enough where Barbara was transported to the hospital for treatment and spent the past two nights there. Apparently she is feeling better, but doctors are being cautious with the 83 year old.

  8. She's amazing. How many people are still working (want to work?) at 83?

  10. I hope she recovers. I have a friend who didn't, at about 65. So sad. Head wounds at older ages are no joke!

  11. Equation, I was thinking the same thing - I imagine she got a concussion. Not good at any age, and very scary in the elderly. Get well soon, Barbara.

  12. It was more serious than just a cut on the head...you don't keep someone in the hospital for two days for that. Hope she's okay. :)

Well, after the Natasha Richardson thing? I think everyone's being more careful about head injuries.

  15. Eek! It's all down hill from here. If she had broken a hip she would be dead with the year. She's pretty lucky.

  17. Holy Shlamoly she's old. Don't people retire anymore? Surgery may keep her looking good, but she is also as sharp and opinionated as ever! Hope she heals well.

    1. If it was nothing, why 2 days in hospital?
