If Carmen Electra is looking for something exclusive with Simon Cowell, she should probably forget it. Last time he tried that it did not work out so well and the time before that not so well either. In fact, I think after his time with Terri Seymour ended, I think Simon decided he would never have just one girlfriend again. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest yesterday, Simon said he is dating Carmen Electra and that she is wonderful but that they are two people who date. Not just exclusively each other. To try and make her feel better, Simon then said that Carmen is adorable. I think he used the same words to describe Ryan. Carmen also called Simon adorable which is not really the first term that comes to mind when I think about him.
The word I would use to describe Simon's face is "hammy".

ReplyDeleteI don't like his TV show, but in some weird way I do like Simon. I've never seen any celebrity so taken with genuinely nice people when he meets them. He must meet so few.
I say good luck to them, at least neither is married to someone else.

DeleteI agree with Sara; he looks hammy and smarmy. Though I don't like his personality, typically he is an attractive man, but not so much here. Probably Botox, but he might be in the drug scene.

ReplyDeleteI don't see the big deal here, they are both adults and at least he seems to treat the ladies he dates well and respectfully. If neither has any misgivings about where they stand it's a non issue.
Has Simon been using fillers a lot recently? He looks so unlike himself in that pic.

ReplyDeleteThe DM has been commenting a LOT about Simon gaining weight and being puffy faced. It happened pretty quickly IIRC - w/i a couple of months. At first I thought they just had bad camera angles, but he's been consistently double-chinned and has gained belly weight quickly (botox and filler won't do that).
ReplyDeleteI think he may be on high doses of prednisone (steroids for medical reasons). I was on 60mg/day three years ago and I gained about 30lbs, mainly in my belly. I also developed "moon face" (bloated face) which is similar to what Simon is sporting here.
For a guy as openly vain as Simon, I don't think he would have let himself go as much as he has in such a short period of time. I hope I'm wrong or that his medical issues, if he has any, are resolved quickly.
Huh. I was thinking "Prednisone moon face?" myself. It's possible. Hope we are wrong... Usually something really sucky for that long a course.

ReplyDeleteBOTOX IS NOT THE DEVIL - Fillers are. Fillers are the things that jack up a face 1000%. Botox just makes it so it doesn't move, it doesn't change the shape.

ReplyDeleteI think this might be a good fit. I've seen her on 2 talk shows recently--and she seems like a really sweet-natured person and really doesn't seem to have a bad word to say about anyone--and she's been involved with some unusual people in her past.
ReplyDeleteI think Simon tends to be kind of a negative guy and I don't think he wants anything super committed--and he is very generous to his exes--so if she is nice and funny and bubbly and pretty--and she doesn't ask for more of him--it might work out ok for both of them.
@Hunter: I agree about the Botox. It can make your face look immobile and shiny-foreheaded but it never causes bloat.
ReplyDeleteFillers were fine when they were first introduced and used for filling in, for example, the creases around the mouth (nasio-labial folds). Back then, they lasted about 5 months, so even if you hated the result, it wore off relatively quickly.
The latest batch are injected into the cheeks, look ridiculous, and last two to three years. Absolutely nobody looks good with these, and I think that's pretty clear from all the posts about celebs and what happened to their faces. You hardly ever see a positive comment on the results. You'd think people would learn...
Regarding my comment on the steroids (Prednisone, etc.) you'd better believe it's possible to morph into Simon's bloated body (truncal obesity) and face (moon face) very quickly - in a mater of weeks. I've been there, done that. It was a complete frigging nightmare.

Uma Thurman just got them and it s not a nice look. She was in the DM yesterday and compared to pictures from a month ago, her cheekbones were definitely puffy. She does not look like herself anymore. And if this is to last 2 or 3 years ... sad.

If it's prednisone or health related, I feel badly for snarking, as his moon face cannot be helped. Also I "take back" my not liking Simon; I don't like his arrogance but I appreciate his honesty and candor. Plus, when he is wrong about an artist, he admits it.

Ok, the May December Hollywood pairings are quickly becoming one of my "Achilles Heel" pet peeves. I feel a "snap".like rant welling up everytime I see a beautiful woman next to a bloated old fart of a man. Its like the man is so comfortable with the fact that society is giving him a big thumbs up on his luck that he doesnt even other to work out to at least look FIT enough to be with a woman that beautiful.
ReplyDeleteFolks, that's just fat. He's been steadily gaining weight for some time. I first noticed it when he was leaving American Idol for X Factor. He's generally sitting so you don't notice it as much plus he's not in the magazines every week so it's less noticeable.

ReplyDeleteIt could be just fat, you're quite right. I've seen pics I would like to forget of his moobs. He tends to gain weight.
However the latest weight gain is spectacularly quick and focused on the two areas where I ballooned in weeks when on prescribed steroids.
It is a miserable experience taking steroids. I hope for Simon's sake that he just ate bacon cheese burgers every hour for a month.
