Usually, I am not big on the whole so and so is dating so and so kind of stories, unless it is something crazy like Kathy Griffin dating Ryan Reynolds. Hey, Kathy is good looking, it would be Kathy who would be slumming. Anyway, after a long absence from the tabloid pages and while taking a break to get some things straightened out in her life, Renee Zellweger has a new boyfriend. She is dating Sheryl Crow's ex, Doyle Bramhall. The two were spotted at LAX yesterday making out. When you are traveling together and doing the make out thing at the airport you know it is young love. After a year they will be 3 feet apart and wondering why they are not going on separate vacations. There should be a pill that makes it new love all the time. Oh wait, there is Viagra. Anyway, I kind of have a soft spot in my heart for Renee after the things I heard she went through and I'm glad she found someone and hope everything goes great.

ReplyDeleteThe Bramhall's are Texas Music royalty in Austin. His dad, Doyle I, played with Jimmie Vaughn, (Stevie Ray's brother) and Doyle II played with Arc Angels with Charlie Sexton (yum!), Eric Clapton and more. And naturally Zellweger is from Katy, TX which is not too far from Austin. I imagine that has something to do with them hooking up.

I don't know if Renee had BAD taste in men. It seems more like RANDOM taste in men. I think she says yes to whoever talks to her for more than five minutes.
ReplyDeleteRenee does not have a pig face but she has done something awful to it. If you look at her old movies, like Empire Records, her eyes aren't squinty and she doesn't look like she's sucking a lemon. It's more than just an aging thing too.

ReplyDeleteI saw a 14 year old Charlie Sexton playing guitar with the Joe Ely Band at Fat Dawgs in Lubbock, TX in 1982. Ely's regular guitarist Jesse Taylor had a broken arm so Sexton stepped in. Robin Williams had just done a comedy show at the Municipal Coliseum and he jumped on stage to sing "West Texas Waltz" with the band. He also stood next to me in the crowd & the top of his head was below my shoulder. Tiny guy. Pretty memorable night. This was a few weeks before Belushi's OD, so Williams was still living life in the fast lane.
ReplyDeleteI'd heard bits from friends who worked with her, about 10 years ago, that she was battling a drinking problem and anorexia...I hope that this means she's past that now.
ReplyDeleteThe handful of times that I've run into her (she has a house in a town that I live in part-time), she's always been super down-to-earth, almost apologetic in her demeanor, and really sweet. This item makes me happy - she deserves it.

ReplyDeleteI've always liked Renee, too. Loved the Bridgette Jones movies. She seems so genuine and fun. She also is very cute and isn't pig-faced. Not sure what the issue was with Chesney. I used to have a coworker that was best friends with Chesney's mom. He used to babysit for her kids. They moved away, however,Chesney gave a free concert as a graduation gift for my friend's daughter. He played at her high school for free. While you "never know what goes on behind closed doors," my coworker said Chesney was sweet, polite, and a good guy.
ReplyDeleteHaving lived in Nashville, Kenny does not have a fabulous rep. I worked at a business that Kenny used and he was not nice and didn't want the employees to look at him or acknowledge his presence in any way. Other celebrities who used our firm were not rude. The few things I've heard over the years is that Renee is a sweetheart. She did good to divorce Kenny. I'm happy she's found love again.

She is a private person that is hiding many secrets. Plus she has the weirdest eyes/face. As you can see, I don't like her. (Don't bash me.)

Her heritage is Sami, which is a Scandinavian offshoot of Asian descent. I wish people would knock off the slurs on her eyes. Really pisses me off.
