I would be poking my feet through all of the wrong holes. Would probably fall and hit my head on the wall!

ReplyDeleteYoung Neville blossomed into a nice looking young man. I went to school with a boy we called Neville because he looked like him. Puberty was not as kind to him.
Awww Amber's pug and what appears to be a chug tug on my heartstrings. I really need another dog to find me soon. My 2 pugs passed away in the last 15 months (one just weeks ago) and Amber's precious furbabies are making me miss mine so much.

Ha ha! She has never seen the Wiggles, and the footpath thing came before she started watching tv, but swimming costume maybe came from Peppa Pig (an English cartoon)? However I can't think of why a family of pigs would wear bathing suits, but you never know!

Delete@reno my brother had a speech problem with the letter "J", enough that kids made fun of him in fourth grade. They got him in speech therapy and was fine. I had a niece who barely said a word until she went to school and now is a chatterbox. Now I'm thinking, how many adults do u know with speech problems? We seem todo fine on our own I think? I even went a few times in highschool bc I say "chippppppssssss" she told me to correct placement of my tongue and I just concentrated on the position of my tongue. I'm wondering though, have u had ur sons hearing checked? All little kids say some words funny and I don't see many adults talking like an 8 year old kid
DeleteMy 2 year old son has names for things and he doesn't watch much TV...eating store=restaurant, water clothes =bathing suit, sleeping clothes=pajamas, walking street=sidewalk, etc.

Mine was in the first grade when it finally, completely disappeared and he actually taught himself how to make his 'r' and 'l' sounds when he realized the other kids were but w was not. We did speech therapy when he was 4-5 and it had very little effect.
@katsm - I wish! Missed it this year. :/ I posted that picture on my FB last Christmas and it just stuck with me. Every time someone mentions child stars, I remember those gorgeous blue eyes. Who'd'a thunk?

My sons both have a propensity to pronounce things they way they see them - Yourapin (European), clammity (calamity), etc. I remember as a kid pronouncing sword exactly the way it's spelled (sw-ord instead of sord) and my mother laughing hysterically when I asked what "whores dee overs" we were having for Thanksgiving.

Yikes, just wanted to add that I certainly wasn't putting anyone down. Just the choice of swimsuit. I think I'm also kind of weirded out because she has a 17 or 18 year old son.

I had a speech impediment until I was about three; mom eventually took me to the ear, nose and throat doctor, and it turned out to be a hearing problem. They removed my adnoids and put tubes in my ears, and voila - no more impediment.
ReplyDeleteUntil I was about five...I developed a lisp. But, I corrected that on my own. I think kids pick up on how other kids/adults pronounce words, and we can "self correct" some problems.
At least I was a toddler. It's cute to be a dorky toddler, right? ;)
I think that swimsuit would be pretty in mauve shades. If I had her body I would walk around butt naked all of the time. Everywhere.
ReplyDeleteYou all are right, Neville did turn out pretty hot! Not holy crap hot like the Thor guy, but damn decent. I'm liking Amber Rose more and more, the Pugs!!! Squee! i want a pug! God, they're cute. And the perfect size. Does anyone know what kind of temperament they have? Are they yappy? I have a miniature pinscher and they are yappers and hard to potty train, other than that they're smart and sweet. Sofia was always one of my fave normal bodied ladies, but I kind of take it back, she's incredibly fabulously unrealistically toned, not normal at all, but at least not skeletal like Bosworth. I like the swimsuit, but the tan lines, not so much. I agree Agent It, I'd be strutting my stuff every day with a body like that.
