  1. Yay, Rider Strong!!! His shirt's name is Button Strong.

Ian Somerhalder can wear sunglasses anywhere he wants.

  2. Aw, Ryder's still got it! Fiance could use a bra, though.

I actually like Mariah's family card, they look happy.

  3. Rider got engaged to his mom?

  5. is Mariah's child special needs? serious question, no snark.

    1. No, that's just what glasses look like for toddlers and babies. They have to be a flexible plastic that won't harm the child in a fall, and require a strap to hold them on.

  6. @jax no. the baby just have big forehead.

Orlando and Miranda together. No ownder it was raining hard last night.

  7. As unlikely a couple as they have always seemed to be, Nick and Mariah have always seemed very happy together and they really seem to love dem babies.

  8. Mariah looks so young!
Can't imagine being on a beauty with three little rat dogs

  9. Jax, my cousin has major vision problems. While not as young as mariah's kid, she had to get super thick glasses around the age of four. She is now a teen who takes some courses for "gifted" (smart) students. Still has the glasses, though!

  10. I'm visually impaired & I'm so sick of people thinking I'm a moron because I don't see as well as others. I was in gifted classes & was at the top of my graduating class in HS. Sound like a moron? Just because someone is labeled as disabled doesn't mean it's a mental deficiency.

It's like saying all black people are gang bangers. All white guys have tiny dicks. All Asians can't drive. All Jews are tight fisted. ect... It's a stupid stereotype.

    1. Who here called you a moron because you wear glasses?

  11. Geeze some of you need to chill, Jax was just asking a very valid question. I've wondered the same myself. This doesnt suggest to say everyone with glasses is *stupid*. Heck I have glasses. Lets not be quick to get ourselves in a tizzy.

  12. I'm not even sure if jax was talking about the babe with the glasses rather the other child.

  13. Given that we just had a blind the other day about a parent who was going to send their child away because they couldn't deal with the special needs and that mental and visual impairment can be caused by lack of oxygen to the brain before/during childbirth, jax's question is not out of line.

Jesus. She even said NO SNARK. That's being SWEET for jax, FFS.

  14. Good point, RCB - either way, it was nothing to get indignant over. If it was regarding the little man's big forehead, I guess it's a good thing Sade doesn't read CDAN.

  15. I'll say it, it's those damn pink glasses. I wear glasses so I don't have a thing about glasses but those horrible thick pink ugly frames make the baby look like it needs more than just corrective lenses. The baby on Teen Mom had the same frames and I hate them. If those are the only design available for babies that age, I swear to god I'll invent a pair that lets you see the kids face! You try to look at a cute baby but those huge thick distracting pink colored frames are all I can see. It's possible to make a durable baby proof frame in a less obnoxious yet still cute color that allows you to see the face and not focus on that the baby needs help to see. They need to compliment the face but the frames are completely distracting.
Yes I had a childhood experience that probably is why I hate ugly pink glasses on babies but I'll spare you.

  16. Also, I noticed tht neither of Mariah and Nicks babies are looking at the camera. The boy seems focused in something and the girl might be looking at him. At their age I would expect it to be simple for the cameraman to get their attention, even of they aren't smiling. After thinking about it, I think Mariah selected the pic (from a long tiring photo session that left the babies bored of looking at the cameraman) where she and Nick looked good, not caring about how the babies looked. That's normal for a group shot! So I noticed the babies had a faraway unfocused look but i bet u they r just tired and bored from a LonG photo session.

  18. My son needed very thick glasses as a baby and toddler and is still visually impaired at age 5, but otherwise healthy and normal. And yes those stupid big rubber glasses don't help with looking 'normal' but they also don't bend or break, and they stay on. 6 stitches in the face of a 2 year old because of broken glasses from falling down and you learn quick.

    1. @ceejay do they come in other colors? I don't even feel like the shape is complimentary. Are there many choices for babies glasses? And I totally agree that ugly rubber trumps cuter but breakable glasses anyday.

  20. The main reasons a child may need glasses are:

    • To provide better vision, so that a child may function better in his/her environment
    • To help straighten the eyes when they are crossed or misaligned (strabismus)

    • To help strengthen the vision of a weak eye (amblyopia or “lazy eye”). This may occur when there is a difference in prescription between the two eyes (anisometropia). For example, one eye may be normal, while the other eye may have a significant need for glasses caused by near-sightedness, far-sightedness or astigmatism.
    • To provide protection for one eye if the other eye has poor vision

  21. This is turning into the perfume blind reveal.

Someone tell shakira to give up the heels if she is pregnant! My pet peeve. Pregnancy allows you to dress comfortably and it's for your safety.

miranda makes me sick. i choose to believe all the terrible wife blinds are about her. and the one about wishing you could test drive babies. smh

  24. My son had to wear ugly glasses with a prism sticky thing on one lens at 4 years old to try and correct his wondering eye (strabismus). Didn't work though, he still had to get two surgeries to finally correct it. He's all good now. And smart as a damn whip too!

  25. I confess I thought about the blind item as well ((hangs head in shame). But,as one who wears glasses, I do know that is not indicitive of intelligence.

I do think that's a great pic of the family though!

And that does look like J Anistan with ARod.

  26. My son was born 8 weeks early. Preemies can have eye problems because they didn't have a long enough time to develop. Sure enough at the age of 1 my son had to wear glasses. We got little round frames that made him look like Harry Potter. They were very small and hooked around his ears. I thought he looked adorable, but I can't begin to tell you how many people stopped me to say how awful it was that he had to wear glasses. Given all of the other issues he may have had the glasses were the least of it. I had to worry about his lungs developing and the chance that he could have been blind. I absolutely hated the negative comments I received.

  32. @katsm...I thought the same thing, "he's engaged to his mom?!" So I'm glad I wasn't alone in that boat!

I gave up wearing heels once I hit about 18 weeks preggo. At 25 weeks, I shudder at the thought...I can manage wedges, but stilettos would kill my back and feet. Not to mention my sense of balance really has changed (always thought that was an old wives tale) and any skinny heeled shoe would certainly leave me ass-up in a flower bed at this stage.

  33. As a person who was blessed with three of the four things that Agent**It mentioned, yeah, what others have said about a small child needing glasses not equaling special needs. And yes, people will get touchy about that sort of thing. I can't see how anyone could be surprised by that fact. So many people LOVE any implication that they might be special needs. (<-sarcasm, in case you missed it.)

Parents do have very limited choices regarding what kind of frames to get for a small child. And dinging them for getting unflattering ones is kind of an asshole move, I think. They are trying to do the best they can for their kid. There are probably at least a few people in this world who refuse to let their kids wear glasses they need because they are unattractive. The primary concern with a little kid with poor vision should be getting it corrected, period.
