LA Reid Leaving X Factor
The end of this season will be the last for judge LA Reid on X factor. he says that he needs to go back to his day job because he has neglected it the past two years. He also said that he and Simon do bad things together. That kind of scares me a little. I wonder if Simon will blow the whole thing up again. Britney coming back for another season? Maybe. She is recording an album and I'm sure she would love to promote it by performing on the show rather than having to tour, but then again she then would be put in the awkward position of telling people they suck singing live when she herself doesn't. That could look bad. Maybe Simon could just make the entire Kardashian family judges and host and let them run the show and they can swarm all over it like a group of cockroaches after a pizza party.
It's pretty sad when you look forward to listening to Mario Lopez. It usually means you don't have to hear Khloe trying to sound like a literate adult.
ReplyDeleteHonestly I hate all these talent shows. From American Idol to SYTYCD. These asshole celebrities are making millions upon millions of dollars while average, hard-working people can barely afford mortages, bills, or their student loan payments. Lets boycott them all.
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
DeleteHey @rafi, Kerry Washington is on Live w/ Kelly & Michael today! I haven't seen last nights episode, I'm watching out when I get home today.
ReplyDelete@lottacolada You remembered my love for Kerry! Lol. Im so mad I missed it, I watched a bit of it and saw the segment with Ewen McGregor and then I had to go back to work. I guess I'll have to look it up online at my lunch break. BTW wasn't there supposed to be a new episode of scandal last night? I turned to ABC and there was a football game on.
DeleteLA is pretty awesome at his day job- I'd love to see who he gives us next. Don't forget, this is the man responsible for bringing TLC and Pink! to a wider audience...
ReplyDeleteyeah @rafi.
ReplyDeleteAside from the first season I've never watched Idol or any of these talent shows. I've caught SYTYCD a few times here and there, but overall I always thought they were not stacked fairly.
ReplyDeleteKelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood were good choices, but otherwise I think they get caught up in choosing a different stereotype or genre every year for ratings and to keep different types watching, which I know is an issue with tv, but it amounts to the best person not winning.
@Rafi, well said!
ReplyDeleteI care not.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how they got L.A. Reid on X-Factor in the first place...Something like Randy Jackson - too good for the show.
ReplyDeleteSimon is such a tool in the way he fires and hires people.
L.A. Reid probably lost money those two years when he could have been producing artists.
I still suspect Britney for the big blind about the singer that doesn't sing any of her own songs and is basically a modern milli vanilli act. Is that why Britney can't sing live? Because I can sing, and therefore that means that I can sing live. Why wouldn't the two go together? Do you need auto tune that badly? It doesn't count if your voice has to be put through a computer 5000 times, or if you have to have someone else do the singing for you. I can see if you have a big complicated dance routine that would take your breath away, but your fans should be there to listen to you sing, not dance and bounce all over the stage while lip syncing. LA Reid is so talented at what he does, that he IS probably needed back at the office. I don't know about you and your office, but when the cat's away, the mice WILL play.
ReplyDeleteOn last night's X Factor they kind of made it look like Britney's girl might go home...(she didn't) but Britney's "oh no!" face every time they cut to her was classic.
ReplyDeleteI think LA has tried to produce the cheesy factor that this show seems to run on but to me he has always seemed kind of uncomfortable with it.
Just hire his brother NY...
ReplyDeleteHaha, you beat me to it.
DeleteActually, SYTYCD is a show that relies on talent, not celebrity. Yes, there is often a celebrity guest judge these days, but the regular judges are dancers and choreographers. I think it's unfair to lump it in with other reality competition shows.
