Kate Middleton Is Still In The Hospital

For the next nine months, the tabloids will be filled and covered and overrun with news and photos of Kate Middleton. I think it is going to be really old very fast, which is why it is probably not a bad thing that Kate is in the hospital. Think about. No photos, just words. No baby bump photos, just the photos of her last week playing field hockey while pregnant. It makes it a whole lot harder to fill up tabloids without photos or something to go with the words of a fourth cousin once removed who knows everything there is to know about Kate and how she is feeling because she heard it from Sarah who told Paul who told her that Ferris was at 31 flavors. The word is that Kate is feeling much better from her acute morning sickness and wishes Holly Madison the best in her sympathetic acute morning sickness.

  1. Apparently it is also big news that Prince William goes to see her in the hospital. Crazy news huh? I 100% believe he will be there for his babys which will mark history.

    1. It is big news, as his own father didnt even go to see him when was little and banged his head. They are a strange crew.

  2. Did you all hear about the radio DJs that prank called the hospital pretending to be the Queen and Prince Charles and got a nurse to give them information about Kate's condition? Unbelievable but true.

  3. She's either really, truly, very ill or has far better insurance than the rest of us mortals.

I had a good friend who vomited 4x a day through both pregnancies and was never ever hospitalized. Sure, she was in the ER once or twice getting IV fluids, but that's it. : /

    2. This is some extremely rare sickness that only affects .001-.03% of pregnant women. I saw the statistic in another article I read online - so don't hold me to it - but my point is that this isn't run-of-the-mill voms

    3. But they don't need insurance in the UK, healthcare if free!

  4. with hyperemeis, they vomit more like 20 times a day---or more. it's not just morning sickness. it's potentially dangerous because of dehydration and electrolyte imbalance.
she wouldn't be hospitalized if she just had morning sickness, so i'm glad she's where she is. hope she feels better soon.

  5. I feel for her. I have Meniere's and when I have an attack, I vomit up to 50+ times a day. I hear of someone vomiting and man, they have my empathy and sympathy all the way.

I think Princess Di did awesome by her boys...it shows. Yeah, Prince Ginge is a little rambunctious, but seems like a decent kid.

  6. Let's just leave her alone to recover. OK.

And I hope Enty isn't trying to snark with the phone he posted. Being pregnant is not a disability. She is very early in her pregnancy, probably well before the 12 week mark and that baby is probably about as big as a grain of rice, maybe a penne pasta. Heck, I helped move a dryer in my first month before I knew I was prenant and there was no harm.

  7. Nice Ferris Beuller reference, Entward.

  8. Thank you nancer. I have had bouts of uncontrollable vomiting, because of other factors, and the whole key is recognizing when you're getting truly dehydrated. Potassium imbalance really will kill a bitch.

One time, when debating whether to go to the e/r, I realized that if my CAT couldn't even hold down water for a day and a half, I would take it in. When you're coping with all that vomiting, it's hard to stay clear-headed.

    1. Plus when you feel awful the doctor office or ER is the last place you want to be! Of course she probably didn't have to wait and has a private room which makes it a little easier than if it were you and me.

  9. People had the funniest headline yesterday. Like spit take/milk shooting out your nose funny.

"Snooki Gives Kate Middleton Motherhood Advice".

Are they that stupid or did somebody from the Onion take over as editor?

  10. @Vera L- Ha! She isn't mortal like us. She is carrying the future monarch of England. I'm sure they brought in the big honcho docs to assist the socialized medicine docs.

  11. Frankly Scarlet, I'm so tired of hearing about the royals and what they are doing or not doing.

  12. She's always been so skinny and even though I've read she cooks I wonder if she eats....
She's going to have to very careful for at least 6 more months...
But it's lovely to see how much of Diana is in William.

  13. Usually the Royals don't visit each other in the hospital; IIRC it's due to security issues and not wanting to disrupt hospital routine any more than necessary rather than any lack of feeling for the sick person. I do hope she's starting to feel better and will be able to go home soon; it's good to be in the hospital when you need to be (and I don't doubt she needs to be; what she has is nothing to mess with), but trust me, being in the hospital gets really old really fast, and it's much easier to recuperate at home, with your own things around you, and hopefully loved ones to look after you.

  14. My niece was hospitalized with this illness with both of her pregnancies. She was dreadfully ill. It's nothing to be joked about. I had no morning sickness at all with my pregnancies -- but made up for my good luck at the other end of both pregnancies when I developed pre-eclampsia and nearly died. My family has such lousy luck with having babies. And yet we keep on trying. *smile*

  15. Poor Kate..Glad she's getting excellent care. Does anyone know how far along she is? Seems like they wouldn't announce the pregancy too early due to the fragility of pregnancies at the start. Hope she has a robust and healthy child!

  16. I am wishing her well & super excited for them. But being in the public eye I hope to god everything goes well, they all stay healthy and go through it all with as much privacy as possible.

  17. Sherry: She's not even at 12 weeks/3 months yet; presumably they weren't going to say anything for some time, but once she landed in the hospital they knew the cat would be out of the bag, and so made the announcement. (Apparently the Queen, Prince Charles, etc. only found out that morning before the official announcement; clearly, they were trying to be low-key about it for as long as possible.)

  18. St. James' Palace (where they have their offices) received a call from a Tabloid newspaper saying they had heard from a source at the hospital that Kate had been admitted for a pregnancy-related illness, and that they were going to run the story as a 'world exclusive' the following day.

William & Kate had planned to keep the pregnancy a secret until Christmas, but their hands were forced - which is why the announcement was made so early on in the pregnancy.

Best estimates are that she is 7 weeks pregnant.

  19. LOL - I love Roxie'e Gerard Butler post! I know it's for bother thread but I'm going to say, yes! I think Kate's baby was fathered by Gerard Butler, too!
