Kate Middleton Has Gone Home

This morning in London, Kate Middleton left the hospital and did so with Prince William. I think it would have been awkward for everyone if she had left with another guy because then everyone would start whispering and when people start whispering, then they start murmuring and then the murmurs become louder and the next thing you know you are having a Prince Harry Las Vegas party with strippers and escorts and people doing drugs and then selling the stories to tabloids and getting arrested. The BBC reports that Kate is resting quietly at home. They will be providing updates on Kate's condition every 45 seconds for the next 9 months and have decided that no other programming is more important. All soccer matches will be suspended until after the birth of the baby.

  1. Still think it's strange he doesn't wear a wedding band but I've read most of the royal men don't. She looks great, even after a few days of puking!

  2. Oh, enough about the baby already. It isn't even HERE yet.

  3. i'm not a big royal watcher, but hey, it's a new baby. and the first one that's really excited the people in that country since those boys were born, so it will be fun to follow.

  4. Hush up Enty, you cynic. I'm happy for any couple having a wanted child. It's sweet seeing William so concerned, yet completely impotent to do much of anything but worry at this point. Just like any other guy.

Kate looks WRECKED-tired. Those hormones must be a bitch---I've taken all the anti-nausea drugs, I never looked THAT tired.

I'm excited about the baby. Diana's wedding was when I was 9. Sue me.

  5. I think Kate looks flawless. I would have never guessed she spent days in the hospital from this pic.

I'm also super excited about the baby but it's been 3 days since the announcement and everyone is totally over-doing it. Let her breathe.

  6. I'm excited about the baby and glad she's well enough to go home.

  7. I don't see that Kate looks that different either. I think you must be missing her raccoon eyeliner...

  8. Congratulations times a million Kate and William! She does look great, and he looks so happy. Sometimes I'm concerned about them because she's beaming ear to ear at him and he looks, well distracted, or maybe not into it, but he's beaming at her and I love it. Congrats to them!

  9. @Karma I think that is just the Royal upbringing of staying composed at all times, he is the future King of England so he is just more stately than his brother.

I could care less what the Royals do stay on your side of the pond please.

  10. DontRainOnMyPrada, I was just coming to say that. She looks beautiful without the heavy eyeliner.

  11. If you see all the pics on DM or elsewhere, she has a glazed look, and her eyes are puffy = TIRED-looking.
Her makeup & hair are done, her outfit is perfect, but she does look exhausted inside. No insult was intended, that anyone needs to defend her from.

I've had pregnant friends with the same look. It's a constant tired (knackered, my Brit bf called it). I'm sure the former preggos KWIM.

  12. I watched the wedding because I love weddings, and I hope she has as easy a pregnancy as possible and the baby or babies are healthy.

  13. I understand what you mean Libby. She does look tired. But honestly, I think she looks gorgeous and so composed after being in hospital for so many days. I'm loving the blue and yellow combo there!

And Enty, of course Wills would be there to escort her home. He's the caring compassionate husband - a genuine one! I know it's shocking these days, but you can tell that man loves his wife and he's probably scared shitless seeing her so sick.

I hope the press backs off and let's her rest in private. I'm excited about the baby but I'd rather the baby get here in one healthy happy piece then have a traumatized Kate stalked by paps. After those France pics, maybe the media willed be shamed into leaving them alone? Is there any hope of that?

  14. I am so happy for them. I am very fond of those boys. I am Irish so we generally don't care for the Royal family too much but those boys are different.
I was 21 when their mum passed. It broke my heart, for them, and I watched them grow into young men and now a husband and Father-to-be.
Congratulations. I hope they are both very happy.

  17. Hi dia.

If she's not up to it, I hope Kate stays INSIDE in her jammies just as much as she wants. I hate that she would feel 'obligated' to always look poised & perfect (and public)if she has a hard pregnancy.

I hope beyond hope that they do stay well-clear of the couple. For Williams' mental health as much as Kate's & the baby's well-being. He is not going to be accommodating to paps, and they all know why. I hope they behave.

  18. In this pic the smile on William's face reminds me of the little 3 year old running around his Mum. We don't see that smile too often with the weight of royalty on his shoulders now. I wish them both well... and a bit of backing off by the media couldn't hurt either.

  20. Gawd I just can't wait for the first reports to come out regarding the royal baby's first bowel movement.

  21. @Lily Pannella - it's an old-fashioned thing not to wear a wedding ring. Among older people it's more of a thing to wear a signet ring on the pinkie as a wedding ring. A wedding ring is also seen as slightly déclassé in some social groups as it's more commonly worn by the working and lower-middle classes.

My husband doesn't wear one because his father is a carpenter who would lose a finger if he got a ring caught on a piece of machinery and that lack of jewellery thing is just what my husband has as a role model. That, and he just doesn't wear anything, not even a watch. Isn't it strange how the smallest little thing can mark out our social groupings to those who actually give a shit about that sort of thing. I'm slightly ashamed that I even know this stuff.

  23. With all of the crappy disheartening news out now, I am perfectly happy to hear about them having a child. Better than hearing about Libya, the fiscal cliff, looming unemployment, housing continuing to drop. Just me, but it's nice to hear about something life affirming. They seem happy and the child is certainly wanted.

  24. Poor Kate. I cannot imagine being released from the hospital after puking for days and having to be camera-ready when I go. Fame is just not worth it.

  25. @libby I was just going by this one pic here ... Makes more sense now that your opinion was formed based upon a larger set of evidence. ;)

  26. She will probably hire a nurse because HG isn't just a once only kinda thing and with the Ozzie dj's debacle, will be more private for her and the baby(ies)

  27. agree that kate looks exhausted. also noticed that "3 year old's smile on william. isn't it nice to see a loving couple, with a bright future, having the child they want? i love happy news and these 2 are nothing but happy.

  28. I just looked at the pic again and it cracked me up. Kate's smile seems rather forced. She is probably thinking "Yep nonstop vomitting is grrrrreat. William if you ever touch me again I will kill you" LOL

  29. I felt so sorry for her having to come out & face a large media contingent, with make-up on as I was yelling to my husband this morning. I hope she is left to get the rest she and William need. From what I have read on her & other sites they have a long, difficult pregnancy ahead of them. Hope everyone is great at the end.

  31. Poor thing. I puked for the first 3 months with each of my pregnancies. It's hell.

  33. I feel for Kate and Wills...9 more months of this!!! I don't even think I can bare all this overexposure let alone how overwhelmed they are feeling! Everyone should just back the eff off.

  34. I don't really care and I thought it wad annoying when they announced their engagement on my birthday. I did watch the wedding live but only because I was feeding my newborn. Just because you were born into a certain family it shouldnt make you better than other people but that is all royalty is.

  35. I want kids in the future, but stories like this makes me dread the actual pregnancy. I read the comments on the previous story regarding her hospitalization. I had no idea morning sickness could be that severe.

  36. Love Wills & Kate. That is all.
