Jay-Z Documentary
There is a great 24 minute documentary about Jay-Z and his Brooklyn concerts this past summer. If you don't have time to watch the entire thing, then fast forward to about 18:30 in and you will see Jay-Z riding the subway and trying to explain to a woman who he is and whether he is famous.
Did Beyonce direct this as well? *eyeroll*
ReplyDeleteI only watched the old lady part, but it's kinda adorable.
ReplyDeleteI saw this yesterday and was reminded that New Yorkers are some of the best people in the world.
ReplyDeleteI love that it turns out that she actually does know who he is.
ReplyDeleteI just watched the old lady bit too. It was cute. But why is he taking a subway, and with all that security around him, how did he manage to sit by a "commoner"?
ReplyDeleteRight after the bit with Ellen (she was so cute!), pause at 20:12 to see a girl (dark shirt, jeans, white belt) look like she's about to hyperventilate and burst into tears. Man, I never do get that kind of fan worship. And it's JayZ, not Elvis!
ReplyDeleteI hate Jay-Z but I'll watch it anyway
ReplyDeleteThat lady is the real star of the clip. I don't really give a shit about Jay Z, but she was cute.
ReplyDeleteThe lady is cute, but if I were a regular commuter, I'd be really pissed about the huge crowd.
ReplyDeleteI live in Chicago and used to work off the Red Line. On Cubs game nights, it was impossible to get a spot on the train going home.
I don't care that I'm a middle-aged white chick - I love Jay-Z.
ReplyDelete*LOL @ mngoddess* Yep, me too!
ReplyDelete@DBZee, I think when I was in middle school I might have hyperventilated if I had met Freedom Williams with his shirt off. He was always just trying to get a nut to move your butt.
ReplyDeletethe look on his face when she says "i'm proud of you." was adorable.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, g.strathmore! Good afternoon!
ReplyDeleteJay-Z is amazing!
ReplyDeleteJay-Z is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThe best part of that website, DBZee, is that it's written by a guy named, Sal, who refers to himself as The Fever.
ReplyDeleteThis was on jezebel yesterday and it turns out the woman is a famous New York artist.
ReplyDeletei just can't with jay z. ever since the profitting off the OWS movement. I'm so not impressed. I don't get his Obama love either when given his view of OWS and approach to it that his views align more w/Romney.
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that she's a famous artist as well. Irony always makes me laugh.
