Gisele Bundchen & Tom Brady Have A Baby - Shakira Shows Off Hers

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady had their second child together on Wednesday. The future supermodel is named Vivian Lake which is not a bad name considering what could have been. I think all celebrities should take a page out of the Tom and Gisele playbook when it comes to baby names. It is interesting that their son was born on December 8 and daughter December 5th. I guess Gisele and Tom have some free time every year around the same time. Meanwhile, in other baby news, Shakira decided to release a sonogram photo of her baby. Yes, it does appear to shaking its hips.

  1. Is that a real sonogram? It looks too perfect and well defined.

    1. @sea your comment made me wonder, are there higher quality sonograms that doctors for wealthy celebs would have versus an inner city planned parenthood doctor with less resolution maybe? And now I'm confused. I've had them both done but I'm confused what the two things are and how they get the picture. They do an ultrasound but when they want to see the image then they add sonar waves to it? Pleas explain this

  3. I am impressed by the name - all the best to them and all the children. They actually seem like a tight family.

  4. Did Gisele hide the whole pregnancy? We never saw the bump! This is so opposite of Jessica S who was preggers for what seemed like 200 yrs and Gisele is pregnant for 15 min and viola! New baby girl!

    I'm so confused :(

    1. When I told my mother that she was pregnant again my mother said, "we will have to see her have another 15 month long pregnancy"

  5. Whenever I hear the name Vivian, I think of that hussy from Dirty Dancing named Vivian who was after Patrick Swayze.

  6. My just-elder sister and I were both due the same day, 3 years apart---If you count back 40 weeks, it was my mom's birthday, what brought us in(to the world).

    *shiver*

Congrats to the new baby. Your dad plays for cheaters, and your mom's kind of up her own ass, but YOU ARE WONDERFUL, Vivian!

  7. dia--There were pics, just not here, and not that many. She had another basketball baby.

  8. I love the name Vivian. I think of Vivien Leigh, and Pretty Woman.

  9. At least she didn't name her kid Hashtag or Moxie Crime Fighter. It's nice when they give their kids normal names.

  10. 2 things... I love Shakira and "I HATE TOME BRADY!" And if you haven't seen the "I hate Tom Brady" video, YouTube it like right now.

  11. My brother and I are two years and 8 days apart. My eldest brothers are two years and 2 weeks apart.

I like the name Vivian but it reminds me of Fresh Prince (aunt viv!)

  12. I absolutely wouldn't choose anything BUT a traditional name. I've always liked 'old lady' names too. My bf is 'John James ____ IV' too, which just thrills me.

If I ever had a daughter, I was going to use 'Rosemary Victoria' (V was my grandma).

  13. Awww. I love the name Vivian Lake - beautiful. Shakira's baby diverts attention from the fact her ex is suing for half her worth right now.

  14. Clare is my favorite name:)

  15. @libby YES! Her father is a HUGE cheater! Screw the Patriots! And also I love your future baby name.

  16. @dia - If you saw any pics of her from the back, you'd never know Gisele was pregnant. In the last month or so, there were some pics of her on the beach and she had a big belly that only protruded. Crossing my fingers for the same pregnancy gene some day...hah.

  17. That's a really nice name, all the best to them.

  18. I would have loved a basketball pregnancy but got the whole ass involved, too.

    I love the name Vivian.

  19. Great name. If the names would of been reversed then it would be a little off. I remember when everyone thought Bey/Jay's daughter was named Ivy Blue. It's crazy what a little tweaking can do.

  20. Hey Caitlin---I'm a Colts fan here, I dunno where you're from, but those years we know they were cheating were years they beat US in the playoffs. DAMMIT.
The year we finally went to the SB, we defeated the Pats on a play WE HAD NEVER USED before (get it?)....it was the last playoffs before the Pats were caught in late 2007.

Aw, thanks about the baby name too. I'm probably too old now, so I'm rooting for a 'Victoria' for Will & Kate. My grandma Victoria was the only cool person in my whole family.

  21. I am off my gossip game, apparently. Work is really starting to interfere with my time in gossip land.

I saw those pics but thought its was a joke. I mean she was so tiny at 9 months!! So not fair for the rest of us mortals!!

  22. I love all those classic names. Vivian is a beautiful name! I like the French spelling better. Yes, I'm thinking about Angelina's little one...

James is my all time favorite boy name. I don't know why? I was supposed to fall in love with a boy named James, said with a Scottish accent, and have many babies together. Did I watch too many James Bond films as a kid? I have no idea where this fetish came from!

    1. I have a Vivienne (she's almost 7) and she is a litle spitfire! We couldn't have picked a better name because she is the most "full of life" person I know. :)

  23. @Libby I'm an eagles fan! I TOTALLY feel the pain! The years they were cheating just happened to be when they were in the SUPERBOWL with the Eagles (who btw have only made it to one before that)
I feel that my city was personally robbed the best party of it's life because of the Pats. If I ever see Tom Brady, I will punch him lol

    1. Sorry I got so excited I didn't even read your whole post before I replied! Haha
I would LOVE for them to name their daughter Victoria if its a girl. And I think they'll use Diana as maybe a middle name but I'm honestly just happy that Kate Middleton is upstaging Jessica Simpsons fertile Merrtill-ness.

  25. @libby, dia - I'm also a huge advocate of traditional names. Our sons have names so traditional, in fact, that they are both biblical and the first names of Presidents.

Furthermore, I prefer a name that gives a fairly clear indication of gender. In the work that I do, I have learned just to ask, "is this a boy or a girl?", because many names now give you absolutely no clue. Gentery? She's a cute little girl. Dakota? He's a boy. In my own life, I prefer a little more clarity there.

One last thing - I love girl's names that are feminine in origin, not feminized versions of a man's name. So I'm on the Vivian, Lillian, Diane, Clare, Katherine train.

  26. Vivian Lake is a great name. Traditional, but not one that's used a lot these days. My great-grandmother was named Vivian, hope the baby isn't as wild as dear old great-grand, LOL!

  28. Oh Caitlin---I'm so sorry. We DO understand each other! I'm always hoping Philly will get its act together, they have so many fans.

(Btw, it was the NFL Films narration that reminded me, after the Pats were caught, that we just happened to beat them on a play we had never used before...smfh. NFL Films narration used it as a dramatic tidbit...but that fact is VERY telling in retrospect.)

    1. @libby YES! Haha they cheated SOOO badly! I swear, I really think they paid off the refs too.
And I like the colts! Especially after what they went through this year and the cheerleaders shave their heads, beautiful!
And yes! I just want a Super Bowl win in my life time but I'm telling ya, we have the craziest fans, for sure! And you really have to be a true fan to love the Eagles because its year after year of let downs but I'll always bleed green =]
And btw high five to all the gals that love football!

  29. Frufra---I also like saints' names and/or heroic names for girls as well.

I gotta go ladies, in the words of the immortally SEX-AY Cleavon Little---I got some heavy chores to do (x-mas shopping).

Love y'all. Thanks for the convo!

  30. Vivian Lake ... like Veronica Lake? The raging alcoholic, mentally ill Veronica Lake? Not someone I would take inspiration from in naming my own daughter, but to each his own.

  31. Both of my children were due on the same day, 3 years apart. Their actual birthdays are 3 years and 4 days apart. And since my husband and I share a birthday, we get off easy on parties :)

A little one-upmanship here, my older girl and my son were born the same day, 8 years apart. And two days before my birthday. I spent my 21st and 29th birthdays in the hospital with my milk coming in. Nothing was planned, it just happened. It was actually pretty bad, because while they were children, it was hard to plan parties that would excite an 11 year old girl and a 3 year old boy.

Congratulations to the Bradys. I'm not overly fond of "Vivian" but I do like traditional and Biblical names.

  33. Love the name. My great grandmother was named Vivian but went by her middle name. My middle name is Ann and so was my grandmothers. So I named my daughter ViviAnn for them both.

  34. Have to throw in--I have a traditional name and I hated it growing up. I hear a lot of "that was my great 'somethings name." Apparently it's on a 100 year cycle and making a return now--my parents were just decades ahead of the trend.

And my parents--I have 2 siblings and from oldest to youngest there is a span of 5 years. Our birthdays fall within a 3 week period--one week between sibling 1 and 2 and mine is 2 weeks later. We were all planned. We used to joke that my parents only had sex 3 times but in reality my mom must have been incredibly fertile.
