Former Miss Pennsylvania Ordered To Pay $5M To Miss Universe Organization aka Donald Trump

Back in June, the former Miss Pennsylvania USA, Sheena Monnin said that the Miss USA contest is rigged and that she had seen a list of the top five finalists before they were officially announced. The fact that she said this on national television and continued to say it made Donald very angry. And you know when Donald gets angry he starts sending out his lawyers and the next thing you know, the NY Post is reporting that Sheena lost her case in arbitration and that she defamed the organization and she owes $5M in damages. I'm not sure how anyone came to that amount, but she will never end up paying anything close to it. In a statement, Donald said that he hated to do it but that she has learned a very expensive lesson. I think he should let her off the hook. It is the holidays. Maybe she will fix his hair for free for life or something.

  1. I think she was right, that's a big lie to tell for no reason. Hopefully this doesn't ruin her life.

  2. I want to say beauty and no brains but who knows if she was telling the truth. She was certainly sticking to her guns and I wouldn't put it past Trump to pay off/ scare off and supporting witnesses.

  5. That fact is NO ONE CARES DONALD! I can't remember the last time anyone took those pageants seriously.

  6. Unfortunately this girl never had a chance against Trump especially in arbitration. There is a HBO documentary "Hot Coffee" that deals with this issue.

"Mandatory arbitration clauses are proliferating, nestled in the fine print of many employment contracts, as well as in consumer credit card and cell phone contracts.  By using a product or accepting a job, Americans may give up their fundamental right to access the legal system, often without realizing it and without choice."

  7. That's a really expensive punishment for not blowing him.

  8. Wasn't there another contestant who backed her up and then recanted? Miss Florida or something?

  9. She prolly told the truth. I think all "reality" type shows are rigged and I am really sour on them. They aren't real!!!!!!

    1. Yeah @gitter I'm surprised people are stil debating if she's telling the truth. Everything on tv is staged!

  10. The Donald is such a doos (pronounced doo-us) (a very South African word for CU Next Tuesday). Glad to have enlightened you. Hate the fucker.

  12. I. LOve. Donald. Trump. He's like a ridiculous cartoon character with the best writers working for him. Even his hair is funny. I just hope he never goes away. Aside from that, I would kill for an hour to pick his brain about financial advice. I just find the things he says so hysterical, I love it!

  13. It sucks that she is on the hook for telling the truth.

  14. this was a few years ago so pls forgive my foggy recollection. flipping channels one night I came across something about Trumps pageants. I believe it was intended to promote the pageant, showing what the contestants were doing leading up to the contest. Lots of oh we're having so much fun, etc. One of the events was a meet and greet with the judges and other "VIP's". All male. All creepy as fuck. The girls were wearing evening gowns and were reguired to pass by each VIP to be chatted up and fondled. YES, FONDLED. They were treated like strippers, pulled into laps, and groped hardcore. I was like, "Jesus F'n Christ that's nasty!" I was left with the distinct impression that this was the event that weighed most heavily in the competition. And I assume things got worse once the cameras were off. Trump is a disgusting ass boil.

  15. @Amber - love you dahlink. Over time, I shall certainly share more. It's such a wonderful thing to curse in foreign languages. Done it loads of times on the London tube, except in London almost half of the people understand (and snigger). We are EVERYWHERE! We being Saffricans. Here's another : Poes (pronounced poose). Same as CU Next Tuesday. Lovely word, rolls off the tongue with a slight puffing of the cheek. Have a go.

Oh she was telling the truth. Because the girl that told her and showed her the list said that she had no idea what she was talking about. She's too hot to have her life ruined, in this looks dominated world. Now Honey Boo boo's mom June? If she did this her life would be ruined. Maybe she can get a journalist or reporting career out of this? Even just weather girl?

  17. I don't understand why these competitions still exist. Haven't women moved beyond this? And if they're good ideas, why don't we have them for men?

    ReplyDelete
  18. O cant believe anyone anywhere gives a rats ass about this so called contest. Well except for rich flabby men who dont seem to realize these women wouldnt give them a second look if they didnt have money. Disgusting. I wish women would realize this is NOT the way to get attention or get famous, by using their bodies as currency.

  19. @katsm I also think Trump is pretty funny :)

So does this mean that Top Chef is also decided before the finale??

    1. @ronan oh you got me! I totally forgot to watch TC Seattle so I totally forgot. I think the talent elimination shows are somewhat real bc u can't fake the talent to do the tasks but all the shows even when viewers do the voting have a disclaimer at the end that say the producers have the right to change anything blah blah blah. Also, those are great chefs but it seems half of them are more passionate about being a tv star than a chef. Everything's fake. I even learned a few years ago that the runners up on American Idol have better chances bc they weren't (now I think all the top 20 sign their rights to Simon?) legally forced to make a From Justin to Kelly. And when I was sad that Michael Costello lost Project Runway, I messages him asking if he felt he had more freedom and chances by losing and he said yes. Imagine what Chris Daughtry would have been forced to do if he had won? But now all AI contestants are screwed. Even the Oscars, Tonys, whatever. All fake. But it's fun!

  20. I think he did this because she didn't ask for World Peace in the question part of the pagaent!!

  21. @ Harvey, nobody said anything about her being too hot to have her life ruined. In fact, I think she's pretty ugly and looks like Janice Dickinson. But Trump is a sketchball and I recall that there were weird circumstances behind the other girl recanting.

  22. There will ways be lazy women not willing to increase their knowledge who will opt for patents and Monkey Spank modeling careers. It's easy to do the easy thing.

  23. I'm sure Donald has a long list of preferred arbitrators who were able to come up with a "fair" total for damages, probably awarding consequential damages because "she made everyone stop watching", people started to doubt his credibility (never had any!), and lost him bizillions. This guy is such a dweeb.

    ReplyDelete
  24. She can initiate a court challenge to the arbitration decision on the grounds it is unfair, and she most certainly should. For one thing, the award alone is preposterous -- there is no way in hell he can prove he suffered $5 million in damages as a result of her comments. That is aside from the underlying fact that truth is not libel, which she could also argue.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh, she was absolutely telling the truth. According to other blinds, he tried for a long time to pay her enough to shut up but she wouldn't. Good on her. You'll get yours, Donnie.

  26. @allabouteve - The documentary was amazing. I work in the legal field (plaintiff side) and I have seen so many bullshit lawsuits that I was starting to lean for tort reform but they way companies abuse contract law and the arbitration clause its amazing. The part about the military not want to recompense the staggering number of women getting gang raped in the military was SHOCKING TO ME.

  27. Hmm, I don't doubt that there was such a list, I just wonder how they got ahold of it. Who leaked it?

  28. So, let me get this straight: Trump is saying that she ruined his good name? Too late.

    1. @connie the reason Trump is so rich is bc he keeps having to pay himself $5million every time he opens his mouth lol

  29. I can't believe there are still people that think these things are NOT staged! Of course it's rigged. What happened was she didn't blow or bang him and was pissed so she talked. Then, when the other girl took the payoff and she didn't, he sued.

I bet $5M was what he offered her to keep quiet. He's creepy and would try that.

  30. Swearing in other languages is such fun! (Ask Joss Whedon) Thank you!

I believe she's telling the truth, and it will neer be told again. He hated to do it, whatever. He's a liar and a troll. He lost his last (minuscule) shred of credibility when he was all up Santorum creek and saying Romney would never be a good President, then when Romney won the Republican nomination, he was all of sudden Team Romney. He likes to think he's relevant, but he's just a jerk.

Like his daughter, though - not sure why, she just seems like she got mom's looks and dad's acumen.

  31. *never be told again - darn sticky keys!

  32. @DBZee: "It will neer [ne'er] be told again" sounds much more poetic!

  33. Trump is a joke. I seriously doubt this woman is lying -- hell, I don't even believe Trump's political barf is even opinions he holds, it's just free pubicity for the newest season of his show.

I've posted this before, but everyone should read it periodically. This man is... unique.

  34. She called it like she saw it. It's unfortunate when telling the truth costs $5 million bucks. They do sign contracts and I would really love to see one, just for fun. I think, and we all know the Donald loves to make magnanimous because they get him all sorts of PR. When is the next season of the Celebrity Apprentice coming up? She'll get forgive and will be given a spot on the show. People know her name now, Donald can berate her for fun and lots of coverage. Are we sure this isn't a setup?

    ReplyDelete
  35. What a douchebag move on Trump's part, but I don't really expect anything less from him. $5M is nothing to him. Poor girl. What's she going to have to do to make this all go away?
