Granted, Dolly Parton has a large canvas to play with, but I had no idea that she had tattoos all over breasts. Apparently she does though and Jennifer Saunders has seen them. Up close. Naked. Jennifer was on Graham Norton this weekend and says she was in a restaurant with Roseanne Barr eating and Dolly came up to their table and sat down. The talk turned to tattoos. “I was in a restaurant with Rosanne Barr. Dolly was there and talking about tattoos. She winked at us and said, ‘This will go no further’ and then undid her top and there were her t**s and she has the most exquisite tattoos – angels and butterflies. They are the most divine, Titian like drawings… I kid you not. Although I did wake up in the morning and thought that couldn’t have happened. But it did. It was one of the strangest evenings ever."

ReplyDeleteThe tattoos shouldn't be a huge surprise. She mentioned in the past that she had some fairly extensive work done to cover up surgical scars.

I feel like one of our genius readers has mentioned this before? And I am the only person I know who doesn't have one, but I think tattoos are gorgeous.

Someone did mention before that this was a long standing rumor...I love that it's true, but I'm kinda with Audrey, her pal shouldn't have mentioned it. Unless Dolly okayed it. Who knows, the boobie flash could've been so long ago, that Dolly really doesn't mind anymore if people know.
ReplyDelete@Reeses, I'm one of those who finds tattoos strangely addictive! I had my third done about 9 months ago, and as soon as I squeeze this baby out, I'd like to get number four! I will say that my choices now as an adult are more meaningful. The shamrock I got when I was 18...not so much. ;)
So the moral here is that you can't trust Jennifer Saunders with a secret? Nice friend.

Not sure if Roseanne and Jennifer are friends, Roseanne was supposed to do an American version of Ab Fab so I'm sure they had lots of meetings about that.

ReplyDeleteOMG - I am just loving picturing this conversation. Not in a sexual way, but now thinking Dolly would have made a great cameo in AbFab as Patsy's cousin visiting from the US. I also can't believe that Dolly is in her late 60s. Looks fabulous. Surgery helps I know, but hers has turned out very well.
