Cameron Douglas, the son of Michael Douglas, says he was hurt in prison playing sports. Every other person who has any knowledge of the situation says that Cameron's broken finger and leg were the result of a $100 bounty being put on his head for being a rat and naming names when he was sentenced last year to 4 1/2 years in prison for trying to smuggle drugs into prison. Most prisoners who attempt to smuggle in drugs are just warned or lose privileges and are not sentenced to jail time, and the 4 1/2 years could be a record for that offense. Cameron says prison handball games are rough. Yeah, let me know next time you break a leg playing handball.

ReplyDeleteEnty, where do you get this info from? If you are caught smuggling drugs into prison for trafficking purposes you can sure as hell catch a new case and get more time. Loss of privelages tends to be for administrative violations not SERIOUS violations like drug smuggling and such. It is also based on the lengths to which you went to get the drugs. There may have been a major security breach.

ReplyDeleteIf it's true his attorney "accidentally" released this info in court he should be sued for legal malpractice. Everyone knows there's "prison justice". Having said that, this kid's an entitled idiot and I just can't feel too sorry for him. And yeah, the femur is very difficult to break, especially in this type of "accident".

ReplyDeleteEveryone take a GOOD long look at his pupils in the above pic. That is someone that is on a HIGH HIGH HIGH level of opiates, be it heroine, vicodin, whatever, he is high out of his mind in that pic. The pupils DO NOT LIE. Uppers will make your pupils huge and dark and dilated, downers will make pupils tiny, constricted and to the size of pin points. It's a useful tip when trying to figure out if someone's on something.

ReplyDeleteiirc his original sentence was for 10 yrs. It was cut in 1/2 because he "snitched". His arrogance at having drugs smuggled in for him is what got that 4 1/2 penalty added on. Prosecutors dropped 5 yrs off his sentence and now look foolish for doing so. If he had any sense he'd keep his nose clean and do his time as quietly as possible. Otherwise bitchup.

I feel sorry for this guy, he was young privileged and famous and now THIS, how did it all come to this? he wasnt born this way i am sure he also had dreams and grand ambitions as a kid but i dont think he had proper parenting while growing up

When I read about this the other day, I was outraged. Certainly he should serve the time for the crime, but this whole mentality of allowing anything to go on in prison because those "fools were foolish enough to get into prison" is a cop out, irresponsible, and inhumane. Corrupt institutions and vigilante justice should never be ignored.

He's a privileged kid of too busy parents. Diandra and Michael were spending too much time at Studio 54 and screwing around. None of this is surprising. In 2009, he was arrested for a half pound of meth and a syringe. After that his girlfriend smuggled him heroin, while he was in custody. The original sentence contained both charges...that's why he got 4 1/2 years. Which is a lot less than he could have gotten?
