Blind Item #5

This comic actor is probably B- and usually only does movies. His attempts at television have been awful. He will do anything for a paycheck at this point and has gone through all of his A and B list friends asking for money. He has also worked himself outside the circle of trust which means getting a role and a paycheck is going to be tough. As much money as he has earned in his life, it is likely he is going to have to move in with his family to support himself or decide to sell that tell-all book he promises to write if he can't get back inside the circle of trust.

  1. Um, Ben Stiller? Is that too obvious?

  2. Lol u got It @staple .... That whole circle of trust thing is hilarious.

  3. I loved it when the BIs had hidden clues, but if that's what that was, I wouldn't call it "hidden," by any stretch of the imagination.

  4. Someone from snl? Schneider?

      i like this guess

  5. What is circle of trust?

    ReplyDelete
  6. @Jane, it's a reference to the Fockers trilogy - Robert DeNiro's character had a family "circle of trust" that Stiller's character was alternatively in and out of.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Oh! I have only seen the first one. thanks :)

  8. Can't imagine it's Stiller...but who ?

"Circle of trust" is from the movie MEET THE PARENTS. Deniro mentioned it to Stiller in the movie.

    ReplyDelete
  10. And it was a while ago.

    ReplyDelete
  11. John Abrahams was in Meet the Parents and has nothing going on, but Ben Stiller has 2 movies in post-production and Zoolander 2 was just announced.

I don't know which list each belongs to, though.

    ReplyDelete
  12. @Jane the circle of trust is introduced in the first one so you've definitely seen it.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Also, Ben Stiller had his own show. I loved it (but others could have considered it awful).

I was thinking Owen Wilson, but not sure if he's tried television .

    ReplyDelete
  15. Ben Stiller is still producing movies and has two starring roles in post production, plus Zoolander 2.

Spade has had two successful TV shows.

I thought maybe Owen Wilson but he has a ton of movies in pre and post production. Is there anyone else in the Focker movies that this could be?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Ben Stiller still works regularly, and technically doesn't have to work anymore if he chose not to and he and his family would not be wanting for anything.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Owen Wilson is pretty busy working as well.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Stiller makes sense. He has a rep of being a jerk and (obviously) moving in with his parents wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Love his dad:D
Thing is, when someone is such a dick who in the world would let him in their lives enough to merit a 'tell-all'? What's he going to do, write about Cruise in Tropic Thunder?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Ben Stiller is also not B- list. Come on, he's not even close to that. Jon Abrahams makes a little bit more sense, but B- is probably high for him.

    ReplyDelete
  20. How could Ben Stiller have a B- rating? Name recognition wise he'd still have to be an A.

  22. The "clue" points to Ben Stiller, who probably is in nobody's circle of trust, but I think it may be Rob Schnieder.

    ReplyDelete
  23. If it isn't Ben it's someone who was at one point pretty popular based on...

"As much money as he has earned in his life."

    ReplyDelete
  24. Kevin hart was in Little Fockers but he seems to be doing well.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Stiller's not B- in any stretch of the imagination. Owen Wilson too. Who has burned bridges? who hasn't been working in a while? It's hard to figure out who could be b- when they've been out of the public eye. I know that circle of trust is a clue... but that's only Deniro, Stiller or Wilson who would apply with that one. Darn. Or Dustin Hoffman, and he doesn't fit either.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I think that it's someone trying to get back into Ben Stiller's circle of trust.

    1. Then owen wilson. Boy has demons.

  27. Maybe the circle of friends clue was TOO obvious. Robert De Niro was formerly good friends with Billy Crystal, who now only has the sequel to Monsters, Inc coming up, which is just a voice project.

So maybe since he and De Niro aren't so close he has fallen from HIS circle of trust etc.

    Anyone? Billy Crystal?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ooh rob schneider does not have Grown Ups 2 on his imdb. And it looks like he is doing random shitty projects including a canceled tv show. I am sticking with him.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Ben Stiller is exactly B-, based on the scale I apply: "Celebs Staple611 Can Stand to Hear About."

    ReplyDelete
  30. Billy Crystal is always and forever an A list. He's never be B-.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Just by deducing the cast, I can't think it fits anyone but Jon Abrahams. OW and BS are definitely not B-, and both are working. Abrahams went from decent supporting comedy roles 10 years ago to now being "reporter #1" and "Tyler's agent" on his recent IMDB page. Just not sure what he would have done that would have pushed him out of the decent roles?

  32. The Ben Stiller Show was groundbreaking Television. Critics adored it. The Ratings sucked but it sure wasn't awful. Neither was his stint On Undeclared. I have no guesses right now but I doubt this is him.

    ReplyDelete
  33. To continue my schnieder vote. He is being sued for close to 2 million along with his brother. He is in every sandler film but grown ups 2? His tv shows include Men Behaving Badly which sucked ass.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. @Jane - wow I'm surprised he isn't in Grown Ups 2. I was just going to say how as long as Adam Sandler makes movies, Schnieder has nothing to worry about. I guess that shop has sailed!

      Delete
  34. Rob Schnieder

this is a great guess. He's awful.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Dane Cook? His brother stole a lot from him, he gets horrible write ups in publications for being mysoginistic, just lost that tv show on NBC as a talk radio host, and starred Jon that HBO special in the round, "Vicious Circle."

    ReplyDelete
  36. Stiller was on Arrested Development, a show that Enty loves. And he's definitely A list.

    His friend Andy Dick?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Andy Dick was living in his ex-wife's shed for almost a year since he couldn't afford rent.

He has been in Hollywood a long time I can imagine the tales he could tell he came up with Ben Stiller and burned that bridge awhile ago.

    1. Timebob, I thought the trailer was on the grounds of the house he bought but had to give the exwife in the divorce?

  38. OT but I recently found out that Jerry Stillers brother lived on my street and one of his children dated my neighbor!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Rob Schneider is considered by a lot of people to be a complete prick who would throw anyone under the bus if it benefited him.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Andy Dick would be a great guess, but haven't his TV shows been hits? I like the Rob Schneider guess the best. He seems like a sad little man/boy.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Andy Dick had a wife? LMAO! Don't believe it.lol

    ReplyDelete
  42. Doesn't Andy Dick own his own building? And Newsradio wasn't awful. That was one of the best shows of the 90's. Until Jon Lovitz ruined it.

    Heeeeeyyy...there you go -

    Jon Lovitz?

    ReplyDelete
  43. it is NOT ben stiller. he has a net worth of $120 million. and he won an emmy for the ben stiller show.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Someone from SNL that is/was buddy buddy with Stiller or De Niro

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think it's Schneider too. He's from my home town. Sandler used to put him in his movies, has he been in any Sandler movies since 50 First Dates? ( a guilty pleasure)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Andy Dick was on Ben Stiller 's TV show

    ReplyDelete
  47. Andy Dick hasn't been B- in a long time. Schneider is more likely for this.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Didn't Ent reveal a kindness blind about Rob Schneider recently?

    ReplyDelete
  49. I thought Ben Stiller too but when I got to the end it sounded like a single man. I def think its someone tied to Meet the parents and I can't remember Rob Schneider in it but he sounds perfect.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I thought Dane Cook when reading this.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'm leaning towards Dane Cook. He's an asshat and said during a show that he took his anger out on a stranger's vag while he was shtupping her. The hell? And yep he did have that special titled "Vicious Circle".

    ReplyDelete
  52. Anonymous1:04 PM

moves in with family..circle of trust.. this ones easy peasy...HIS MOVIES ARE AWFUL!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Sounds like Schneider fits this one best.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I was thinking Chevy Chase, barring SNL, of course.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Wld serve him right, hes such an obnoxious prick. But prob not. He came from money to start with.

      Delete
  55. I would say Stiller is higher than B-, even though I'm not a big fan. I doubt this is him. He works quite a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  56. seriously, I don't get the ben stiller and dane cook guesses. how can either of those two possibly be B-???? and neither fits the clues in other ways.

Ben stiller works NON STOP. and he has for years. as someone pointed out above, he's worth 120 million. at least. does that seem like someone who is going to move back in w/the family?

and dane cook, love him or hate him, is super successful, has been for years and continues to be.

andy dick was great on news radio, so his attempts at tv haven't been awful. rob schneider sounds more like it.

    ReplyDelete
  57. The only person to pop into my head while reading this was Rob Schneider. So, my guess is him.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Dane Cook was my first guess. Many comedians have accused him of plagiarism. He recently filmed four episodes of a TV show that was cancelled without ever airing. His half-brother went to prison for embezzling millions of Dane's earnings. Yep, I think this is him.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Did Ben Stiller get divorced and I missed it? Seriously. Would you have to move into your parents/family for support, married? Especially to a working actress.. I don't think this is Ben.

    ReplyDelete
  60. It's not stiller. Dane Cook is the right answer.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Andy Dick is not B list - he's Puke list. ... literally...

    ReplyDelete
  62. I am thinking Corey Feldman.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Thinking this may be Corey Feldman just makes me sad. The Two Corey's will always be cemented into my 12 year old brain as the perfect guys. Plural. Because they were each perfect and separately would have been just too much for my 12 year old self. At my age now, however, it makes me sad to think one is dead and the other so misguided he has to move back in with his parents because he's broke. Please don't let it be him (I realize he hasn't had the greatest reputation, but again, he was perfect in a 12 year olds mind!).

    ReplyDelete
  64. Shelley Berman. OMG, that means if he's moving in with his parents.. OMG... Forest Lawn?

    ReplyDelete
  65. Mike Myers. He was on SNL, and so was Stiller. "Fockers" and "Austin Powers" were both directed by Jay Roach.

    ReplyDelete
  66. You know, Rob Schneider did play Edmonton, AB, Canada, a little while ago, even posing for photos at 2 am and that can NOT be a sign of doing well financially...

    ReplyDelete
  67. No!!!! It's Vince Vaughn!

    ReplyDelete
  68. I immediately thought of Ron Schneider for this one. If it is him it's sad because he and his wife/SO are about to have a baby

    ReplyDelete
  69. Not Rob Schneider btw Schneider introduced Sandler to his wife Jackie.
