Blind Item #2
To get the nose job or not get the nose job. This B list television actress on a very hit network show has met with a plastic surgeon twice in the past month and is deciding whether to get a nose job. She knows what happened to Jennifer Grey, but she also thinks her nose is holding her back from getting movie roles.
Lea Michele
ReplyDeleteSo agree!!!
DeleteI hvnt got a clue!!! Whoever it is, just be prepared to like it no matter what happens.
ReplyDeleteI thought Lea too, but wasn't the reason that Streisand didn't change her nose was because it would have changed her voice.
ReplyDeleteMayim Bialik? Most women get new hair cuts when they get divorced, maybe she wants a new nose instead?
ReplyDeleteMayim is such a hippie in real life I don't think she'd get a nosejob. She was on one of those makeover shows a few yrs back and dresses just like her Amy character
DeleteI think Lea too! I guess she cares about acting at this point than her singing voice. Movie Roles = No Need for Glee
ReplyDeleteLea makes perfect sense CrazyCatLady! Good job. I think she would look cuter with a teeny bit taken off the nose, but have you seen what they actually do during the procedure for a typical nose job? They smash and actually break the nose to collapse it, really gruesome stuff. I think typical nose jobs look stupid and fake. Anniston got a teeny one, as well as Halle Berry, Tyra Banks, Scarlett Johansen and the late great Aaliyah. If you look at their before and afters you can see what a great, slight, understated nose job can do. No need to cut your nose off to spite your face.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget megan fox.
DeleteAnd Cameron Diaz...although I think she'd actually broken her nose several times and it didn't make a drastic change to her face
DeleteWhat Jennifer Grey did was so radical back then, Lea could get it smoothed out a bit like Jennifer Aniston did and not compeletly change her face.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe she really has a deviated septum.

ReplyDeleteGisele got a good one and Blake not so Lively too.
I overhead a couple of people talking about nasal sex, and I asked what it was.
ReplyDelete"Fuck nose".
I totally thought Lea immediately. She's out there panting for fame, and I think would do anything to be in the movies.
ReplyDeleteIt freaks me out that these people just randomly (seems random to me) get things done on a regular basis...kinda like check-ups or something. I find it soooo sad..the fillers, the implants and....and all of it! :/
ReplyDeleteSorry, plastic surgery is one of the things that will make me rant.
Totally on board with the Lea Michele guess. She thinks she is going to be a HUGE STAR. Bitch, please.
ReplyDeleteLea kind of sucks at acting, not sure the nose job will do much for her. The fact that she can always go back to Broadway, makes me think a nose job is a terrible choice, since her voice will change a bit.
ReplyDeleteI think it's Lea Michele, too. It must kill her to know that she's three times the singer and potentially 1.5 times the actress Dianna Agron is, but Dianna actually gets movie roles.
ReplyDeleteKate Hudson has had a good nose job, too. She's smart. When she had a nose job and much later a boob job, she didn't go for radical surgery so it wasn't hugely noticeable.
ReplyDeleteMango, Hudson's boob job was very well done. I like to see that when one gets it done, they get a very normal size. It looks very natural, and is perfect with her petite frame.
DeleteEh, I thought she looked better before the bolt ons. So many clothes are made for women without big chests, I love those baggy tops on skinny girls. Low cut dresses look elegant when you don't have boobs, but look kind of vulgar with cleavage.
Delete(Don't get the wrong idea, I love curvy girls, too- when they're born with it!)
I read an interview with Lea M where she insisted she was keeping the nose. I was thinking Kaley Cuoco for this, her nose is fine by "mere mortal" standards, but h-wood? It needs reshaping!
ReplyDeleteI thought Lea was proud of her nose and/or the fact that she got her role on Glee in spite of it?
ReplyDeleteFYI, everyone has a deviated septum. That term only means your nasal passages are not the same size. As to whether the difference in size is large enough to require plastic surgery, i.e., the smaller of your nasal passages is so small as to impede your breathing, that's a different story. In any event, that surgery can pretty much always be performed without altering the outward appearance of your nose. People pretty much use "deviated septum" as a reason why they HAD to get a nose job, which is bullshit. In addition, the plastic surgeon(s) that Streisand saw could not guarantee that altering the shape of her nose would not affect her singing voice, which is why she never went that route. All that being said, I vote for Lea Michelle. Doesn't matter if she has said in the past that she absolutely refuses to get a nose job, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if she ends up getting one. Her nickname in our household is "Banana Nose."
ReplyDeleteIf this is Lea, she should save her money, or at least spend it on acting classes if she wants to do movies once Glee is over. She has talent, but I don't think it translates well to screen. She'd be better sticking with Broadway where she could be the big fish in the pond.
ReplyDeleteIt's not Lea, she has repeatedly stated that she would never get a nose job. Her 'instrument' is too important to her. I like Kaley for this one, but I hope it's not her. She always seems so down to Earth.

ReplyDeleteLea sounds right. She's probably wavering on the nose job because she is concerned about her voice. Glee probably has another season in it, but that's it.
ReplyDeleteTo be different, Kaley Cuoco
ReplyDeleteI thought Lea too, but I also have always heard her say she'd never get one.
ReplyDeleteDeviated septum is Hollywoodspeak for reconstruction after excessive coke use
ReplyDeleteI think they're both fine, but I'm breaking away from the Lea Train and guessing one of the 2 Broke Girls. Normal noses but relative to "Hollywood" noses, a little bigger.
ReplyDeleteNon issue. Everyone in Hollywood has nose jobs.
ReplyDeleteLea. And it's not her nose preventing her from getting work.
ReplyDelete@Ingrid Superstar Kat Denning maybe?
ReplyDeleteI like the Kaley Cuoco guess.
I think Leah thinks she's perfect, nose and all.
I don't think it's Lea, she's recording an album right now. She knows that music is her ticket, not movies, and she's not allowed to do anything that Fox doesn't approve of. That's why she's not doing movies, because she can only shoot them in June and July. Ryan Murphy has a very tight grip on her. Also, Glee isn't a 'very hit network show' anymore, it's ratings slip every week.
ReplyDelete@ Puggle - I agree.
ReplyDelete@ Vera - Oh I hope not Kaley! I think she's adorable as she is.
Emily Van Camp
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not Lea. She thinks of herself as Barbara 2.0 and the nose is a big part of that image.
ReplyDeleteJust because her nose is bigger than everyone else's doesn't mean that she isn't happy with it.
I second @Sandy with Emily. She definitely wants to get ahead in the biz, and like someone said with the 2BGs her nose is bigger than the Hollywood standard, but normal non celeb standards.
Sarah Jessica Parker was the first person to come to mind... but the whole "has trouble getting work" thing doesn't really fit. Still...
ReplyDeleteBlossom
ReplyDeleteI think it's Lea.
ReplyDeleteIt's quite common for Jewish girls to get nosejobs when they hit their teens (an unfortunate thing that so many feel they need it) so Lea gets 100 points for not falling into that peer pressure.
But Hollywood pressure -- combined with the fact Glee isn't gonna last forever -- is exponentially more harsh. If she feels her co-stars are getting roles because they look better, she may be rethinking her options.
I'm Jewish and I sing and i had an amazing nose job in my 20s. My voice sounds the same. I love love love my nose. If you didn't know me beforehand you would never know I'd had surgery.
ReplyDeleteKat Dennings was the first person who came to mind, but Cuoco isn't a bad guess either. Believe me, all these girls are looking to make the jump from TV to movies ASAP, while they're all still well under 30. They'll change any and all things on their bodies to achieve that.
ReplyDeleteEven if Michelle had a nose job, she's still too "quirky looking" to be the lead in a movie. She should just stick to the Broadway stuff.
Mayim Balik or whatever her name is..Amy from Big Bang
ReplyDeleteLOL at the Mayim Bayalik guesses. As a woman with a prominent nose, let me tell you, if she didn't get a nose job in her teens or twenties, it's not happening. That girl has made her peace.
ReplyDeleteI don't think she cares about her looks much, and I'm pretty sure she would let us watch her breast feed a five year old in public.
Mayim dresses the way she does because she's an orthodox Jew. I don't know what the orthodox ruling is on nose jobs, but she's actually a neurobiologist by degree (PhD), and doesn't strike me as the type who feels the need to be "pretty" for a role.
ReplyDeleteI would go with Kaley, though I love her. She's very down to earth and sweet, but you can tell she's been trying to break out for awhile now. Hop? C'mon.

ReplyDeleteSarah Jessica Parker is an intriguing idea. As we get older, the nose keeps growing, and it can sometimes make a person more beautiful, or a nose changing shape can make a person look like a caricature of himself/herself. SJP's features have sharpened, and it didn't help that she once had that mole, and to be on the genealogy show where they found her ancestor was a Salem witch. She would need to be very careful to soften her look if changes were made, and not sharpen the look. Weight gain might help her without surgery.
ReplyDeleteNo Lea, no! What if it ruins her voice?! She's already very very pretty.
ReplyDeleteLea Michele?
