  1. RIP Mr. Ziglar

I've met him on several occasions, my son went to school with his grandchild. He was always so very kind, patient and honorable. A great man. We need more people like him in the world.

  2. "People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily."

  3. While she's not a celebrity, my mom is in the hospital right now with complete liver failure that occurred Thanksgiving night. My dad left this morning to go to the hospital they sent her to out of state for treatment.

Haven't had any news about her yet today but still really worried. Any thoughts and prayers sent her way would be most appreciated.

    Thanks all,
    Chris

  13. Means a lot to me, honest. I've only been posting here for about 2 months (and sporadically at that) so that just speaks for the character of the readers Enty has obtained.

On behalf of everyone in my family, I thank you again for your kindness. :)

  19. @Momster I'm in Ft. Smith, AR but my house is on the border of AR and OK, when I get past the driveway I'm in OK.

They sent her to the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. They are supposedly the best equipped hospital for liver problems in a reasonable vicinity.

And seriously, I want to reiterate that I truly appreciate the compassion you all have sent my mom's way. She has no idea this site even exists, but trust me she would be in tears knowing that strangers who have just briefly talked to her son on the internet cared enough to take the time to think about her.

Thank you all again. Nothing is more important to me than my family and I want you all to know I consider you all a part of my extended family as of now.

  24. She's pretty much the same. She doesn't even know she's at a hospital half the time.

Her doctor had noticed elevated levels of some sort about two years ago and supposedly was checking up on them every few weeks, although she never followed up tests, only giving her more tests.

It's breaking us not only emotionally but financially. My dad had 3 heart attacks exactly 8 months prior to her episode this time so he can't work and the doctors won' let me work because of a stroke I had.

Still, I'm doing the best I can to make sure my nieces have a good Christmas since it seems Grandma will still be in the hospital, so I took my little check I get each month and bought everything on their list. (You wouldn't believe how many variations there are on LaLaLoopsey dolls lol)

But anyway, thanks for your prayers and concern. If there is any change, I'll be sure to follow up here.
