ReplyDelete14 and it was waaaayyyyyy too early. It scares me to think my own son is only two years away from that age but he has also had a much more stable family environment than I did. And I have talked to him about how he should wait until he is in a loving, committed relationship and ready to deal with any unexpected consequences of his actions. And that condoms are his friend and should ALWAYS be used. Scary stuff.

ReplyDeleteNew Year's 1999-going into 2000 - I was 19. It was my first love - sexiest female I'd ever met. She would wear this long leather coat that came down to her knees. Later that August she dumped me. Fuck, that hurt. LoL.

I was nineteen and it was a good decision. I was the last one of all my friends to do it, but also one of the very few who actually enjoyed my first time and was ready for it.
ReplyDelete16 and it was like a bad after school special with peer pressure, gossip, and serious slut shaming. He was the one sleeping around, but I got the bad reputation for doing it once. Ah well. It did make me appreciate a good man when I found him.

ReplyDelete13. I knew even then he was my soul mate. We dated throughout middle school and high school and then broke up mid-senior year. He joined the Army and we both "sowed our wild oats" for 4 years, always hooking up when he came home on leave. Married him a year after he got out of the Army. We celebrated 20 years of marriage this year. Looking forward to another 20!

We were together for a short time, less than a year, and she dumped me for someone else. Broke my damn heart. Fast-forward 14 years and she came calling for the one who got away. And there I was, as much in love with her as I ever was. We've been together ever since.

ReplyDeleteI'm 35 and still haven't. As an asexual girl I never intend to either. I find guys attractive but the thought of being touched or having to touch them is so off-putting.
ReplyDeleteThere are such a range of ages in the comments and some of the young ones sound so scary though try telling a teenager they're too young for something. It's nice to see that in some cases people have made it work with their first.
I was 17 and felt as if I had waited too long...he was playa too. No regrets tho, it could have been much worse.

ReplyDeleteHe's now in his seventies, I'm in my fifties, and we've kept in touch all these years. Yes, we still whoop it up. In fact, he makes an occasion out of every five-year anniversary of our first time.
19 and he dumped me shortly afterward. I think he was collecting virgins...I regret that I wasn't in love but just wanted the experience (I was the last in my peer group).

After being a good girl again for several months,I had my first emotional connection at almost 18 during my first summer romance. ReplyDeleteTwo months after my 15th birthday. Wanted it done with. We were introduced by a guy I knew from school. He told me he was 17. Sex was AWFUL. Two days later his pregnant fiance called my house to tell me off. She did not believe me when I told her I was in 10th grade and had been a virgin. I was so worried my parents would pick up the phone. That was my introduction to men. So since then I've just had fun with sex and never made it a big deal. Exceptions of course being long term relationships .
