  7. 17. I wasted no time in getting down and dirty, but now I really wish that I had.

  10. 21 (nearly 22!). Super cute Irish guy. Would've prob been older but 9/11 turned me fatalistic.

  11. 14, almost 15 and he died several years ago. weird to think about.

  12. 12 to a much much older Egyptian woman.

  13. 25. Glad I'm not the only later bloomer. (And it was just the right time for me.)

  18. 18, to the bassist in my second-favorite punk band. We have common friends on Facebook, so I still see photos of him now and then. He married someone else and seems happy.

  19. 21 during my internship in college. First summer completely on my own and he had a beautiful 11 inches.

  20. 14 and it was waaaayyyyyy too early. It scares me to think my own son is only two years away from that age but he has also had a much more stable family environment than I did. And I have talked to him about how he should wait until he is in a loving, committed relationship and ready to deal with any unexpected consequences of his actions. And that condoms are his friend and should ALWAYS be used. Scary stuff.

  21. 16 and it was a terrible decision on my part. Should have waited.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Twenty-three. I wasn't waiting for marriage or the "perfect" guy and I didn't think sex was "bad". I finally felt like it, so I went for it.

  23. 19 to a CIA agent. No kidding. How freakin' topical. He was brought up in the Middle East as his father was a dilomat, and started in the brothels at 12. Best lover ever, so far.

  24. 18. My 15 year old niece recently asked me this, and I told her the truth. I was ready and just wanted to get it over with. I wish I had chosen a guy I liked.

  25. *Karen*

    You mean you're still...

    Here's to you!

    I was half your age.

    ReplyDelete
  26. 16 and completely regret that. Wish I would have waited until I was 19 or 20.

  27. New Year's 1999-going into 2000 - I was 19. It was my first love - sexiest female I'd ever met. She would wear this long leather coat that came down to her knees. Later that August she dumped me. Fuck, that hurt. LoL.

  28. 15. He was 14. Married him after we'd dated on and off for several years. Just celebrated our 30th anniversary. He's still my best friend. :)

    18. Dated for 2 1/2 years and then I met my husband.

    ReplyDelete
  30. 17! I was ready to get it over with, & thought I was in love. Went into a tailspin when he dumped me for another girl a month later.
We're on friendly terms now. He just got married a few months ago & is now going off to basic training.

  31. I was nineteen and it was a good decision. I was the last one of all my friends to do it, but also one of the very few who actually enjoyed my first time and was ready for it.

  32. 16 and it was like a bad after school special with peer pressure, gossip, and serious slut shaming. He was the one sleeping around, but I got the bad reputation for doing it once. Ah well. It did make me appreciate a good man when I found him.

    ReplyDelete
  33. 16 and clueless. Don't regret it though I'm not proud of the rampage of random girls that came after that but that was a long time ago.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Almost 16, to my first love and no regrets, he was almost 18 and we planned everything including birth control. I feel lucky to have had such a good guy for my first.

    ReplyDelete
  35. 13. I knew even then he was my soul mate. We dated throughout middle school and high school and then broke up mid-senior year. He joined the Army and we both "sowed our wild oats" for 4 years, always hooking up when he came home on leave. Married him a year after he got out of the Army. We celebrated 20 years of marriage this year. Looking forward to another 20!

  36. 18 and wish I can blank it. Just some guy who put a lot of pressure to sleep with me, so I wanted to get it over and done with. Wish I had saved it for someone special or someone who appreciated it.

  38. "Technically" 18, with my gay-guy-BFF (we were so ridiculous!) But for real, 19, with the love of my life. We were together for a short time, less than a year, and she dumped me for someone else. Broke my damn heart. Fast-forward 14 years and she came calling for the one who got away. And there I was, as much in love with her as I ever was. We've been together ever since.

    ReplyDelete
  39. 15. No regrets, eventhough the teen puppy love relationship didn't end well. Broke my heart, but the first time was very special.

  40. So lovely to hear all your stories, especially those that are still with their 'first time'. Mine was when I was 15. Definitely not a story worth telling!

  42. I'm 35 and still haven't. As an asexual girl I never intend to either. I find guys attractive but the thought of being touched or having to touch them is so off-putting.

There are such a range of ages in the comments and some of the young ones sound so scary though try telling a teenager they're too young for something. It's nice to see that in some cases people have made it work with their first.

  43. I was 17 and felt as if I had waited too long...he was playa too. No regrets tho, it could have been much worse.

    ReplyDelete
  44. 19, wanted it over and done with.

  45. I had just turned fifteen, he was thirty-five, and he fit my profile. I was looking for someone to be my first who'd had some experience and would know what he was doing. Boy, did he.

He's now in his seventies, I'm in my fifties, and we've kept in touch all these years. Yes, we still whoop it up. In fact, he makes an occasion out of every five-year anniversary of our first time.

    ReplyDelete
  46. 19 and he dumped me shortly afterward. I think he was collecting virgins...I regret that I wasn't in love but just wanted the experience (I was the last in my peer group).

  48. One month shy of 21st birthday with my 30 year old boss. He gave me two gifts, a baby and an std. Married and divorced in two years. Then I met my good husband and we've been together for the last 18 years. Only two men in my not very sordid love life.

  49. 16 to my first love, and no regrets.

    ReplyDelete
  50. 22 with a guy that I thought I would spend the rest of my life with. We had a good run (7 yrs) but I would have waited if I knew then what I know now.

    ReplyDelete
  51. 17 and I married him - and then I divorced him. LOL I hope my kids DON'T marry the first person they sleep with!

  52. Having said that, it was absolutely the right time for me.

    ReplyDelete
  53. 25. My choice and no regrets.

    ReplyDelete
  54. 15. I'm another one who 'just wanted to get it over with'. What a waste because I met my high school sweetheart just 6 months later. :(

    ReplyDelete
  55. 19. He has 2 kids now. Weird.

    ReplyDelete
  56. 21 & I regretted it.

  57. I was 18, I thought it was the perfect age. It was with my boyfriend at the time. Relationship eventually dissolved under the long distance strain of my moving away to go to college.

  58. 16,against my will. After that I didn't care and did it with someone a few months later just to erase the bad experience but I actually did more damage to myself.Got pretty wild there for awhile.Such regrets.. After being a good girl again for several months,I had my first emotional connection at almost 18 during my first summer romance. Still, the sex wasn't good. That didn't happen til I met my now husband at almost 19. He was and is amazing! I wish everyday he had been my first.

  59. Two months after my 15th birthday. Wanted it done with. We were introduced by a guy I knew from school. He told me he was 17. Sex was AWFUL. Two days later his pregnant fiance called my house to tell me off. She did not believe me when I told her I was in 10th grade and had been a virgin. I was so worried my parents would pick up the phone. That was my introduction to men. So since then I've just had fun with sex and never made it a big deal. Exceptions of course being long term relationships .
