The Gotham Awards were held last night and really marks the whole start of awards season.
Emily Blunt was there with what looks like a really bad fake tan.
No tan for Amy Adams.

Jack Black who is going to be nominated for an Academy Award.

Not likely to be nominated for very many awards, but still a great movie will be Catching Fire which is filming.

Jack Black only had one film released this year, and he's certainly not going to be nominated for that.

ReplyDeleteHe might be good in Bernie--I haven't seen it--but it got very limited release and made no money. Not a likely scenario for a Best Actor nomination.

How often do American actors get nominated for Best Actor for indie-film roles? Rarely. Richard Jenkins was the last one.
How often do any actors get nominated for Best Actor for playing the lead in a comedy? Rarely. Americans? Three times in the last 30 years: Tom Hanks, Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams--all for major studio releases.
What are the chances of Jack Black, playing a comedy lead in an indie film, of being nominated for a Best Actor Oscar? Extremely miniscule.
I can't look at photos of Matt Damon without wondering if he's the answer to some of those blinds re: closeted dudes. I don't know why, but I really wanna know!!!:)

Jessica will be the one nominated for an Academy Award this year. And she has a very strong chance of winning. Sorry, Anne Hathaway. Maybe another year.

Enty posting a pic of Matt Damon does not in any way prove that he and Famke J had sex in her hotel room just before the awards [where she showed up unexpectedly]. Earlier posters on the item have said she was scheduled to present and appear.
And if she wasn't, and she & Matt are getting it on (I doubt it), wouldn't he wonder why she had booked a hotel room in the neighborhood of the awards when she lives right next door? Why would anyone do that? Only reason could be for hair and make-up to be protected, which means she was scheduled to appear.
I also don't buy the comment that Matt has a LTR with a Latin male. He films constantly and he arranges his schedule so he's home two days a week. If he's in a LTR with a man, he certainly doesn't get to see much of the other dude.
That Flaunt layout sucks. You can't even tell it's her. It could be anyone. And so tired of the dead beauty look!

ReplyDeleteAside from the facial fuckery, the dress that did her no favors, and a slapped together hair styling, did anyone see photos of Blunt at this awards show? In many of the ones that I saw, she looked totally spaced out with a vacant expression on her face.

And that dress looks as though she was trying to replicate a mummy. And don't get me started on her face. What in God's name has happened to that??? She's starting to look frozen.
