ReplyDeleteI am calling bullshit on Kevin Smith as the director from the previous blind. I am a HUGE Kevin Smith fan (I mean, to a nearly unhealthy degree) and it is as plain as the man's beard and bald spot that he is crazy about his wife and daughter. No way would he fuck around because he knows Jen would split on him in a second.

How does freaking out over someone photoshopping a picture of his kid equal needing a thicker skin? Kevin has no problem with people talking shit about HIM, and he is certainly not above taking a whole lot of cheap shots at himself. But you don't mess with people's kids. When his kid is an adult she is fair game, just like everybody else. But until then he has every right to flip out about someone using her image. (Full disclosure: I haven't seen the photo in question. But I have a kid about the same age as his and if someone used a picture of him to take a shot at me I would lose my shit too.)

ReplyDeleteLucas, I was a member of the site in question at the time. The owner also had a child of the same age and all of the pics were tasteful (albeit funny) but Kevin went NUTS over it.
