Yesterday at 6pm, police were called to a home in Beverly Hills and found Michael Nouri and his girlfriend involved in a physical fight. When police looked at Nouri's girlfriend they saw that she had been hurt and arrested Nouri and charged him with felony domestic violence. Nouri is most known for his role in Flashdance and lately has been in NCIS and Damages. Oh, he was also in Army Wives. Bail was set at $50K and he was released early this morning.

ReplyDeleteGeez - I always liked him, especially when he was younger. He's excellent on NCIS. He's been in tons of movies and if memory serves, some soap operas. Sorry to hear he's a jerk.

Years ago, nouri was dating roma downy, also on flakey side, while he was still married, but it was okay with him and wife, as she had MS. So yes, he has the distinct odor of turd emanating from him. And pretzel logic as well.

ReplyDeleteI always knew he was shady. When he was married, I believe his wife was very sick. My memory is vague but I seem to recall she was wheelchair bound. He was dating Roma Downey and he claimed he had his wife's blessing to go out and have sex with other women. Sex - yes with other women but he launched a longtime relationship with Downey. I always wondered why Downey never got bad press for it.
ReplyDeleteNot to make light of domestic violence, but until I hear the whole story I am not making judgements on this guy. Cops take this sort of thing very seriously, but I suspect alot of men have been arrested for this sort of thing when they have been trying to defend themselves against the woman who is being physical.

A good friend of mine was arrested (and jailed for 2 days) because his gf suspected him of cheating, called the cops and said he 'twisted her thumb while grabbing the phone out of her hand because she was calling 911' (interfering with a 911 call is a pretty serious charge)
ReplyDeleteTurns out she dialed 911 and hung up, then used her daughter's cell to call. Him? He was asleep the whole time.
When the cops arrived they woke him up. No kidding. Lots of lawyer fees later he was finally exonerated. So I agree, there very well may be more to this story.

ReplyDeleteHe also had sort of a meta part in an '80's-'90's sitcom starring Susan Dey (replaced by Annie Potts) and Jay something or another where he played Dey's ex-husband who was a soap opera actor. There also were two redheads (a waitress and a sportswriter), Mac from Night Court, and a garbage collector character actor who just got a movie starring or lead TV role.

Michael Nouri did NOT play Steve! That was Frank Runyeon. Nouri did play Palmer's...nephew? maybe? Caleb on AMC a couple years ago, though.

ReplyDeleteThe only thing I've seen him in is as a plastic surgeon in a Catherine Keener movie, and yes he was kind of sleazy in it.
I ALWAYS get this guy mixed up with Chris Sarandon! They look so much a like to me, but Chris works a hell of a lot more than this guy.
