I told you previously how Kelly Preston was going to appear on The Doctors this week. Kelly even tried to have a doctor on the show to bolster her points and Kirstie Alley's organic thing which doesn't work. At one point Kelly addresses Ryan Margot as Dr. Ryan. The thing is though he is not a doctor and had his pharmacy license suspended for 10 years after pleading guilty to fraud and failing a drug test. This is the expert that Kelly wants to convince you that what Kirstie Alley is selling is the greatest thing ever. I guess they could not find someone legitimate to talk up the products. According to Showbiz 411, Margo pleaded guilty to 39 counts of obtaining drugs like Hydrocodone through fraud. The emergency suspension reads: “Upon questioning, Mr. Margot admitted to diverting 46 prescriptions, totaling 4,830 pills…Margot was arrested on August 21, 2001.” He was charged with grand theft.I can't believe the show did not check to see who Kelly was touting as an expert. (Thanks Mark)
I never believe any doctor or other "expert" while schilling a product
ReplyDeleteWhy do they let these idiots get away with this shit? Because she's married to a movie star? Awful!
ReplyDeleteHere's the class action lawsuit that was filed against Kirstie Alley's products. I don't know the current status :

Where's Shelly?
Not only did they not question her expert, the "Doctors" didn't question any of the ridiculous statements that Kelly made. For instance when she kept saying that Jett was coming out of his autism (or it was almost cured)? She has a cure for autism?! Or when she started listed all these incidents (food poisoning when she was pregnant, a fever when she was pregnant that caused him to get candida and thrush -- or something ridiculous like that) which she says is what caused his Kawasaki Syndrome and made him autistic). Nothing she said made logical sense. I watched the episode in complete confusion while they were all acting like starstruck teenagers.
ReplyDeleteUgh. The more I hear about this trick I am convinced she's a desperate, controlling, conniving, sick piece of work that needs to be put in her place, stat!
ReplyDeleteAs terrible as this is, what is worse is all the gullible people who will believe her without even doing any research. A quick google would prove her wrong. If she cured his autism then she should get together with Halle to market that cure for diabetes. I saw a Suzanne Somers book at the library with her anti-aging and cancer treatment. I didn't read it but it looked like bs.
ReplyDeleteObviously, a healthy diet and the elimination of chemicals in your life is a good thing, but it won't cure every disease.
This really makes me wonder what other kind of lunatics they allow to go on these kinds of shows without anyone even knowing they're background.
ReplyDeleteScary to think how people are basing their way of life around what these tv Dr's suggest.
It seems like she's still in denial about him being autistic. He had autism, something that one cannot be "cured" of. Stop selling fake shit.

ReplyDeletemaybe he is a pharm D or phD and that is why she is calling him Dr...
ReplyDeleteSeriously her delusion is borderline sad. And it's too late to save Jett. I find it interesting that she has another child that is also disabled and where is that baby she just "had"?
ReplyDeleteWow! Epic fail in so many ways....

ReplyDeleteSherry, I thought her son, Jett, was her only disabled child. There's nothing wrong with Ella, is there? I don't know anything about the new baby boy.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Enty posted this, I saw this earlier today and meant to send it to him. Then I had Thanksgiving leftovers and went into a tryptophan coma. Good afternoon all.
ReplyDeleteThey drag Ella to premiers so I think she is ok. I haven't heard anything about the newborn son and it's been awhile.
Since the The Doctors is produced by Dr. Phil's son. Calling someone a Dr. and no longer being a Dr. is ok in their book. And shame on them for shilling for CO$ under the guise of helping people and not questioning methods, shameful, just shameful.
I think Sherry is referring to her first born son, pre-Travolta. She signed away his rights to the father. The child was rumored to have autism as well.
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe I'm reading all this here. How can any of you say she doesn't know what she's talking about? I'm sure that if she says she cured her son, she must be right. They're friends with Tom Cruise, who's like, God, you know? The Church of Scientology is so good, so wonderful, so rightful, that I'm pretty sure this is just envy. I'm sureeeee autism is just cased by chemicals and if you just start cleaning your house with David Miscavige pee everything will be fine!!!!
ReplyDeleteJ/k, I wanted to know how crazy felt like, lol
Actually, I wouldn't lump Suzanne Somers in with Preston and Alley -- I've read a couple of her books, and she seems to have done her homework. I'm seeing a specialist MD in my hometown who espouses many of the same ideas in her treatment regimen and getting great results.
