Jessica Simpson Is Pregnant Again

Apparently Jessica Simpson loves to procreate and also figures that if she can get Weight Watchers to give her $4M after gaining 60 pounds during a pregnancy, that maybe they will give her $8M if she gains 100 pounds this time. According to US Weekly, the baby wasn't planned. They just had unprotected sex and she got pregnant. Huh. Fascinating how that happens. So, it will be another year of the world's focus on Jessica Simpson and her weight while Ashlee Simpson is off on the sidelines wondering how she can get noticed. I think she should start going out with Samantha Ronson and then double date with her dad and his boyfriend. That would chase Jessica off the covers for a week.

  1. I hope they have a boy and give him a girls name.

  2. how do they know the baby wasn't planned? she's not doing anything else right now, and she's already in baby mode.

  3. Good for her. As someone who struggled to get pregnant, it's nice to see someone who can get pregnant and is happy about it not to mention she can afford it.

  4. ITA, Vera. I wasn't lucky enough to ever get knocked up, but I would have been THRILLED if this happened to me. Especially in her financial position. Lucky lucky lucky.
I hope it's twins this time! ha!

  5. That is so much stress on the body. I bet she'll have another c-section too.

  6. She's going to blow up like a balloon..

  7. Hahaha @rejectedcarebear, I like your thinking. I wonder if shell request macallan 18 in lieu of flowers again after she gives birth.

  8. Oh, it's nice also for Maxwell to have a sibling, as many of us have speculated (perhaps unfairly) that Jess may 'throw away the envelope' (chuck her baby-daddy) sooner rather than later.

  9. Personally, I was a worried loon that I would get prego again during the first year of my baby's life. Too much of a control freak, I suppose. But good for her. I'm sure she'll make it work, because isn't that what all mothers do?

The pregnancy probably did catch her by surprise. Your body is so out of whack after popping out a baby. Is she breast-feeding?

  10. I know I'm a real bitch, but is anyone else wondering if she did this partly so that she could ditch the diet and keep the cheque?

  11. @mynerva

Oh yeah, personally I think they should add a new preggers diet to Weight Watchers and monitor her whole pregnancy...she deserves it

    1. Honestly, that's probably why she decided to get pregnant.. To market it.

  12. @mynerva Oh good, I'm not the only one whose first thought at seeing the headline was "Well, that's one way to get out of that whole Weight Watchers thing!" ;)

  13. Jess, please go ask Tori Spelling what happens when you have C-sections too close together. Not safe.

And this time, please try not to butter your Pop-Tarts and think it's OK because you are pregnant.

    1. I think Tori's problem was four in only a few years.

  14. BUTTERED POP TARTS.......I'm going to vomit.

  15. i'll believe it when she actually confirms it. i take everything US says with a grain of salt.

  16. Wasn't she bragging about having sex when her c-section wasn't healed? It made me barf.

  17. What @jennifer said. Let's not get too excited. It's US Weekly.

  18. vera~ that is so gracious of you. I wish u all the best luck..:)

  19. As long as she won't turn into the next Tori Spelling she should be fine. I def dont think it was planned, she's barely finished showing off what she lost for WW.

They always do a huge reveal commercial with form fitting clothing for any weight loss deal ala Jennifer Hudson, Mariah Carey, and Valerie Bertanelli.

  20. Probably not a breastfeeder if she fell pregnant this soon. It's possible of course, but it is pretty effective birth control as it delays ovulation and menses.

    1. Not for everyone! A surprising number of women think this and end up with a surprise second pregnancy in the first year after having a baby. Breast feeding is definitely NOT a form of birth control!

  21. @misch & @VIP - I feel better now, thanks!

Pop tarts are gross enough on their own, but buttered? I'm surprised she didn't put on even more weight.

@Patty- my first 2 c-sections were 16 months apart and I lived to tell. Not necessarily ideal but not as risky as you make it sound.

  23. My first thought was "now she has an excuse to get fat again."

  24. thanks auntliddy :)

  25. You all already said much of what I was thinking though I will add I hope she has a safe pregnancy and delivery. Two pregnancies that close together with c sections can be dangerous..

  26. congratulations to her. children are truly blessings. i hope her pregnancy is a safe and happy one. personally, i am interested in what her weight watchers contract says about situations like this. i would think for 4 mill, she is required to not only use the product but to promote it and maintain her weight loss for a certain amount of time. i know i would've put that in the contract if i were an attorney for WW. if she is pregnant, i wonder if she will be required to give some of the money back.

  27. @paris That's exactly what my first thought was!

  28. No no no - breast feeding does NOT act as birth control! I've seen dozens (yes, dozens) of women who believed this and turned up pregnant. PLEASE talk to your doctor about this!

  29. I guarantee he won't get fat again. She learned he lesson. I gained 70 with my first and 25 on my next 2 because of the hell I went through to lose the weight!

  31. I can't really find anything bad to say about how close her pregnancies w/ c-sections are together. And I'm sure she has the best doctors who are taking good care of her. It's nice to have children close in age to each other. That said, I just hope the daddy stays in the picture.

  32. I could see her having a ton of kids just so she can keep eating like a cow. That girl cannot control herself when it comes to food. She's yo-yo'd her entire career. (Its pretty obvious I can't stand her.)

  33. I did Weight Watchers about 7 years ago, before the point system changed. I was allowed 20 points a day; Pop Tarts (the package of two) were TEN EFFING POINTS. I never, ever, EVER ate a Pop Tart again once I realized how horrifically bad they are. Since then, my food OCD moved on to eliminating nearly everything else processed. Thanks, WW. ;)

So when I read she was eating buttered Pop Tarts, knowing she would be doing WW later, I just thought, "Man, this chick is in for quite the reality check if she ACTUALLY does WW." Sheesh.

  34. Oh, lord NO! I cannot take another 37 month pregnancy with Jessica Simpson. hahaha

  35. Vera & Libby, I agree. Congratulations to Jessica who is obviously thrilled to be a mother. It is lovely to see.

  36. You absolutely DO ovulate while breastfeeding. How else do you explain all those "Irish twins" in the world?? You may not get your period but you are absolutely fertile.

Congratulations to Jessica! I got pregnant with my second daughter before my first daughter's birthday. It was difficult at times but I wouldn't change it for the world. Besides, you're in "baby mode" already, why not add another? ;)

  37. I'm not buying it yet.

But if it's true, good for her, I wish her nothing but the very best- because she really doesn't fucking deserve the shit pile you all love to throw at her.

She's beautiful, has a man that loves her(you don't know any different so don't start)the support from her family and friends and about a BILLION fucking dollars to help her get through the trials of Irish twins. All while living in a gorgeous home in sunny California.

    Jealous? I am.

  38. Co-sign everyone else who says that not being able to get pregnant while breastfeeding is a MYTH. In fact, many women have been caught out like I'm assuming JS was because they believe that myth. A close friend of mine had her babies 14 months apart because she thought she couldn't get pregnant while breastfeeding. Just simply not true.

  39. I don't hate her. I hate all the coverage she gets, and I think she's been waayyy too successful given her "talent." She wasn't much as a singer. She was famous in the early 00's for being a dumb blonde (chicken tuna)...I loathe that we did (maybe still do) look at stupidity as "cute." Now she's a zillionaire because of her name (why is she a name again?) and because of sweatshop manufacturing of her clothes.

I look at her the same as I look at Kutcher. They get way too much press and have achieved way too much success for their talent. Meanwhile their are great actors/singers/people who are virtually unknown.

It always did annoy me when people I thought were nobodies got a lot of ink/coverage:

    Simpson
    Kutcher
    Paris
    Mischa Barton
    Palin
    Kate with 8
    Real housewives from somewhere
    Teen moms

  40. Oh yeah, I don't like celeb weight struggles either. It's cool to know that rich & famous people also struggle with the same problems we all do, sure. But to watch Delta Burke, Oprah, Kirstie, Simpson, whomever go up and down and up and down...to see them make a boatload of $$ off of losing weight, when you know they're going to gain it again...ENOUGH ALREADY. It's all such a waste of time.

First off, they're all human beings. Almost everyone struggles with something. For these people, it's weight. Second of all, there's a lot more to people than their dress size. Third, again, people who yo-yo shouldn't be out there making $$ and getting press off losing weight...since it's probably coming back (at which point we can go through all of it again).

  41. Hope they are happy, congrats. Nothing wrong with having children when you have the right person.

  42. @mynerva-YEP! First thing that popped into my head

  43. breastfeeding does suppress ovulation temporarily, but one never knows for how long. So you might not ovulate for six months but when you ovulate that seventh month you had no idea it was coming.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hey, don't knock the buttered Pop-Tarts! Especially yummy if you get the frosted kind and butter the non-frosted side.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I have no hate for Jessica Simpson. I think she is harmless as far as celebs go and she makes her own money. Good for her!

I'm sure she has access to the best doctors in the world. Some pregnancies go smoothly, some have problems, with or without c-sections.

They make lowfat frosted poptarts in brown sugar cinnamon and strawberry if you must. My family can't tell the difference.

  46. butter is good on everything.

  47. It might have been planned or it may not have been - though personally speaking I think she surely must have had some desire for a number two or she would have been diligent about birth control! I have a 7 month old and I sure am not taking any risks with contraception until I am ready for baby number 2.
