Jake Gyllenhaal Learns To Hold Hands

It is that time of the year. The time of the year when the leaves have all fallen out of their trees; people start thinking about how much weight they can afford to gain over the next six weeks; and Jake Gyllenhaal shows up in public with a woman. This time he has gone the non-famous route. You know, because the last time he tried this with Minka Kelly was a disaster. Oh, and Taylor Swift. He really has not had much luck with any woman since Kirsten Dunst and that was back during the Bush administration. Much better to go with someone non-famous. And if you look at the photo above, you can see she is even willing to teach him how to hold hands. I think that is sweet. Now where the heck did I put that Home For The Holidays special Blu-Ray edition which has the turkey flying off the table in 3D and Robert Downey Jr. looking fabulous.

  1. He needs to just come out already.

  2. He's looking like the homeless dude that jumped in front of my moving car the other morning.

Yeah, should be easier to get a non-famous chick to beard for you, Jakey. She looks thrilled just to be in your company.

  3. So...he finally found out the previous girl had a serious boyfriend? Because they were REALLY public with it. In Jake's neighborhood. Damn.

  5. I'm still not convinced he's gay. Kirsten was with him for a very long time. She doesn't strike me as beard material.

  6. I was reading about this on TDM last night and the headline was "Jake gyllenhall and his Beard go for a Stroll" and I fell over laughing! !!!

  7. I'm not one to gossip and you didn't hear this from me but I have a friend that sorta knew Jake and said that he had a boyfriend in New York. That was ages ago too.

  8. Has there ever been any stories about this guy beyond TT blinds?

  9. She is very attractive.

  10. I think there's a chance that he is actually bi. I always thought he really loved Kirsten. The gay rumors started around the time of Brokeback Mountain, maybe Heath's sex appeal was just too much for him! Lol

  14. Did anybody see Two And A Half Men (I know, I know) this past Thursday? I think Jake G. might have the same arrangement Ashton's character had with that woman he just met.

  15. Every time I see him now, I hear Taylor Swift's song.

  16. Ha Ha Ha! Jake and his beard out for a walk, that's a hilarious headline. Bravo!

I think Jake is a doll and would be his beard in a heartbeat.

I also thought he really seemed to love Kirsten. They got a dog together! Whatever happened to their dog? Anyone know?

  17. If Jake is gay, and he was only being closeted because of his career and wanting to be the next big action star, he might as well come out now since that never happened. Prince of Persia wasn't successful enough to become a franchise, so coming out as gay or bi now, probably wouldn't hurt him.

  18. @izz: There was another girl that used to show up during rehearsals right before his play opened.

  19. @ChasingHeaven I'm pretty sure Jake still has that dog, or did last I heard.

  20. @Basil, I agree I do not think that coming out would hurt his career at all at this point. But I guess at a certain point when you've been hiding for so long, and it's been somewhat successful for you, career-wise, it just seems like you need to keep doing it.

  23. Pretty sure the gay rumors came from his friendship with Heath Ledger after Brokeback Mountain. I'm not sure there is actually any reason for us to think he's gay....unless someone knows something specific that I'm missing.

  24. This is something that annoys me. Why does he or anyone "have" to come out? Actors pressured by some in gay community and then people try to expose them as gay. It just doesnt matter! Their whole business about pretending to be someone else! Does someone really hv to stand up and state who they have sex with? It is so private, it appalls me! If you hv a plumber fixing a leak at your house, do u stop to ask if he or she is gay? Of couse not! Because it doesnt matter!! Unless the person wants to talk about it, everyone else shld back off! Sorry, this gets me worked up, lol

  25. Is it my imagination or are all closeted actors good looking?

  26. Respectfully, i disagree. Why does a homosexual have to out themselves to benefit others? Dont they hv enough on their plate without carrying a banner for others? If someone wants to come out, or treat it like a non issue, thats fine for them. But if someone else doesnt want to, i dont think they shld be hounded to do so. And i fo think its telling what sex u like to sleep with. Idk, just what i tihink. Im not gay so mb i'm wrong. I personally just dont care. Some of these old thinkers wont change no matter what, but you make an excellent point.

  27. I'm not gay, either, so I can offer no further insight; I just get the sense that it's extremely unfair that some gays have done the grunt (har!) work, and put themselves on the line in the struggle for gay rights while others hide in their fancy, upscale closets portraying themselves as something that they are not, and lying to the public about it.
I very much like the way that Anderson Cooper and Kevin Spacey chose to go about it; neither screamed their preference from the rooftops, but they also didn't didn't issue vehement denials or feel the need to put on some sort of act with a phony wife/children. They merely lived their lives the way that they were meant to.
Also, if a closeted gay celebrity builds his fan base on a ladies' man/family man reputation, isn't that a type of fraud? For example, if the rumors about Kirk Cameron being closeted are actually true--and I'm not implying that they are--then shouldn't far right Christians, who seem to be his main source of income, have a right to be angry that they've been lied to?

  28. Why does it seem that everyone has to be either gay or straight? That's what gets me worked up. Why does he have to date men OR women? GEEZ?!

    ReplyDelete
  29. lis, I just dont see why anyone cares. Cameron is a whack job anyway, nothing about him wld surprise me, lol

  30. I think the main reason people care is that actors who use beards are lying and the mystery draws people into speculation.

LGBTs/straights/asexuals shouldn't need to qualify their orientation nor lie to the public about it, but unfortunately a lot of people refuse to suspend their disbelief when watching film/t.v and separate the actor from the character.

    It sucks.

Oh, and I think TT might be bi but my opinion means nothing, lol.

  31. I have no idea whether Cameron is gay or not, but my personal theory is that the most vocal anti-gay neanderthals are denying their own sexual identities. Sadly, I also think that most of them were raised by parents who spent their (child's) entire childhoods passing on their (parents') own anti-gay prejudices. How sad must it be to spend your life being taught that you're "a sin"?

    ReplyDelete
  32. The only time it bothers me is when closeted gay people make or are complicit in making policies or laws against other homosexuals. That is wrong and outting is allowed in my book. Not sure TT is totally gay either.

    ReplyDelete
  33. This will be unpopular, but I don't think Cameron is gay or a whack job.
I think he is really doing what he thinks is right, like many religious people. I think he could stand to read the Bible and see that doing out public judgement over something he perceives as a sin is as bad as anything he could be passing judgement on.
My mom is Apostolic, and I know she means well, but we have this fight often.

  34. So... what was the favorite CDaN putdown for Cruise, the one implying he's gay? Wasn't it TommyGirl? And then some of you get up on your high horse and demand that Hollywood actors should come out. Because it would *never* hurt their carriers as believable leading men.
