Hope Solo Gets Married To Man Who Beat Her

So, what is the appropriate wedding gift to send when you marry a man who beat you not even 24 hours prior to saying, "I do." What do you send someone when you go straight from the jail wing of the courthouse to the wing of the courthouse where you can get married? Hope Solo has gone silent on social media and this is probably a good reason. She has married Jerramy Stevens. You remember Jerramy don't you? He is the guy who got away with raping a woman back in college because he was a football star. The DA who is a big booster of the football program decided there was not enough evidence to movie forward even though all the police and detectives did. Yeah, he is a real winner to be married to. How can you marry someone who was just arrested for beating you? They have not been dating for years. They have dated two months. This is going to end in a huge disaster.

  3. It's possible she was too scared about what might happen if she didn't marry him. Even if she talks a good game and tells people to mind their own business, she's more than likely putting up a front. Hopefully he doesn't kill her before the next Olympics. U-S-A! U-S-A!

    LOL @ FSP

  8. *karen* - combo of nature vs. nurture, and sometimes the nurture is awful and people can't undo it without help. Unfortunately a lot of people don't ask for help because of pride or fear. It is really interesting to look at how much is actually nature, though. If you look into the University of Minnesota twin studies - I believe it's the largest in the world. They have identical twins that have been raised apart, and that's when things get really interesting.

  11. This situation could have been avoided by a Sassy Gay Friend...

SGF: What are you doing? What. What. What are you doing?

    Hope: I love him.

SGF: You love him? You started dating in September; it's not even Thanksgiving. Slow down, crazy. Slow down.

    Hope: Love makes you crazy.

SGF: Yeah, I would say so. Jerammy, Jerammy, Wherefore art thou Jerammy? Translation? Desperate. Desperate. I am really desperate. Are there any stalkers on my grounds? Jerammy drugged and raped your classmate.

Hope: The DA dropped the charges!

SGF: Save it Patty Hearst. I'm not buying any Stockholm syndrome today, thank you.

    Hope: I'm a grown woman.

SGF: I think you're a Dlist celebrity and you're an idiot. Look at your life. Look at your choices. Have you even slept with this guy?

    Hope: I did.

SGF: You big slut! Good for you!

    Hope: Yay!

SGF: Yay! Come on you stupid bitch.
    (Leaves Jerammy in jail)

    She's a stupid bitch.

  23. I saw this on E news last night. One of her teammates wrote on twitter in support of the marriage. I can't imagine her friends wanting her to go through with this. I would tell my friend to run.

  24. She's a dumbass. Not just because of this; this is along the lines of the kind of intelligence I would expect from her.

I give it 6 months, and would not be surprised if it was more like 6 days.

  26. ITA with Amber. She may have felt she could not leave. Abuse really messes with your head. I'm not making excuses for her. I wish a friend would have intervened bc this won't end well for Hope. One of them will end up dead.

  27. I just read how bad this guy really is. This article summarizes every single charge against him. He is not a good person, in any sense of the word. http://seattletimes.com/html/localnews/2004147460_rbstevens270.html
