Hector Macho Camacho Being Taken Off Life Support
After being shot Tuesday night in Puerto Rico, doctors were optimistic that the former boxing world champion would survive. Another person in the car was killed and police found a serious amount of cocaine with Camacho and his companion. Overnight though, the condition of the former champion worsened and his family is now deciding when to take him off life support. At several times last night, the boxer's heart stopped beating. Very tough decisions to make on Thanksgiving.
From what I read the man killed was Hector's childhood friend and 10 bags of cocaine were found in the car 9 on the driver and 1 in the car. Sounds like some kind of drug cartel hit and Hector was just in the wrong place at the wrong time or worse was buying coke off of him. Either way, its just another tragic senseless loss. RIP Hector.
ReplyDeleteDoctors have been saying for days he's brain dead :( poor hector! RIP
ReplyDeleteRIP Hector.
ReplyDeleteRIP Hector.
ReplyDeleteI only hope that your family elects to let your legacy live on by organ donation.
Hope they find the animals that did this, no one should be assassinated.
ReplyDeleteDamn, that's crazy! His heyday coincided with my brother getting an illegal cable box and him and his friends would watch all the boxing PPV's. He was definitely a colorful character, even for boxing. I last saw in the past year or so on a spanish language DWTS-type show. Wild.
ReplyDeleteno doctor would be optimistic with his injury, he was "gone" before he was in the ambulance.
ReplyDeletesad. when you hang with drug dealers, even your childhood friends, there is no wrong place wrong time- it's always a risk.
Don't know him but have prayed for a miracle. How tragically sad.
ReplyDeleteHe was a junkie. Not at all surprising.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences to his family.
ReplyDeleteSad but that's the risk you take when you hang with the wrong people. I wish for a miracle but realistically it's done.
ReplyDeleteCocaine is a hell of a drug. My heart goes out to his family.
