In the back and forth of court documents, I expected that each side would have their own version of events that transpired on Thanksgiving Day between Gabriel Aubry and Olivier Martinez at Halle Berry's house. The thing that got me about reading Gabriel's filing was not that Olivier threatened to kill him or the $3M that Halle Berry has spent on legal fees so far in a very losing cause, it is what Gabriel said that Nahla said as they were driving up Halle's driveway. "Olivier is here. I'm scared." Was this just something Gabriel put in? Was Nahla scared something was going to happen because of what she has heard? Is Nahla scared of Olivier? Olivier is not a nice guy. I think everyone knows that. The other interesting thing was previously everyone said Halle took Nahla inside away from the fighting. It turns out a nanny took her inside. I'm not even sure Halle actually even watched it. Sure would like to see the security tapes though.
I read somewhere on the internet that the security tape had already been erased.

I don't know these people, so anything I say is just speculation, but! To me it seems Gabriel has kept quiet this whole time because he knows he's in the right. I don't know why he would suddenly start lying about something Nahla (and I'm just gonna throw in, I hate that name) said, unless he was the instigator in this and trying to save his ass. And I don't believe that for a second. I am inclined to believe she did actually say she's scared of Olivier.

What chaps my lips is that Halle is doing all this to move to France with Olivier. In a couple of years, she's going to break up with him and say how he's a bad person. It'll be just like what she's doing with Gabriel. I'm not suggesting that Gabriel is completely innocent here. However, I tend to see his side more than Halle's.
ReplyDeleteHalle is upset because Gabriel has been winning the court battles. It's not a stretch to think she wants to put Gabriel 'in his place.' But even if Gabriel started the fight, how does she explain how badly Olivier beat him? Gabriel has black eyes, gouging cuts, broken ribs, and head injuries. That's not self-defense: that's a beatddown.
Ultimately, none of the adults look good in this situation. And Nahla is the one who truly suffers.
Who would tolerate their lover beating the FATHER of their child in such a manner? I give no fucks that Halle is at odds with Gabriel, what Oliver did was excessive and wrong. She sure picks winners. *eye roll*

None of us were there and don't know exactly what happened minus the fact that two grown men, who are figures in Nahla's life, had a very physical fight. If she did say she was scared, her dad should've turned the car around and taken her to Halle's moms or some neutral place. They all need to grow up and get it together. An innocent little girl is watching. Even if she doesn't see it all now, the internet will fill in the rest for her when she gets older.

I'm SO glad I'm reading these comments! I was so afraid, due to the initial reports, that Gabriel was going to be the fall guy. I was wondering why no one was saying this is just another ploy for Halle to get custody full time from Gabriel so she can move to France! If this wasn't orchestrated by Halle, I'll eat my hat. What an ambush. Hope the judge sees it that way, too. I highly doubt that Gabriel would attack Olivier first, knowing his background and penchant for abuse! It's just all too convenient that Oliver and Halle were purported to be furious with the judge's decision, and not a couple days later Gabriel ends up in the hospital. It usually turns out that internet rumors about celebrities were actually started by people in the real world who have actually worked or dealt with them. Maybe some are unfounded, but in this case, I think it's safe to say that Oliver and Halle are not nice people. Halle's contempt for and her lying about Gabriel is well documented. Most of the above was gathered from internet droppings, so take it with a grain of salt.

My take on this whole debacle is halle and olivier plotted this whole thing. Halle was filling olivier's head with all of these negative things about gabriel and olivier must be infuriated he can't move to his native country with his sugar mama. How else is he supposed to hook up with his mistress. I really do hope the judge see's right through this sick game they are playing. Court let out. Radar said Gabriel's custody was restored w restrictions but no other info. Tmz hasn't posted squat, so we know the judge ruled not in favor of Halle or else that shit would be up by now.

Everything I've heard from people about this is that Gabriel should have full custody. Olivier is a complete asshole, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was an addict from recent photos of him. Halle is one of those people few people want to work with twice. She's really just an unstable individual.

I don't remember how the topic came up, but someone mentioned Gothika, the movie Halle & RDJ did (which was also where the latter met his now-wife, so something good came out of the experience...), and there was speculation as to whether or not the two of them ever slept together. Well...Himmmm popped up and fired back that as a matter of fact, he didn't much like her at all, and that he knew 100% for certain that absolutely nothing of that nature ever happened between them, and never ever would, for that matter...and then, within a couple of hours or so of posting all that, promptly deleted it--I can only assume due to feeling as if he'd said a wee bit too much. ;-) (I swear, I damn near saw steam coming off the screen as I was reading his comment; it was quite obvious that he had absolutely no use for her as either an actress or a human being, and considering that movie came out in 2003, she's been pissing off co-workers & other folks in the business for at least 10 years now.)

Gabriel had just won a major custody battle in court. He had no motivation whatsoever to stir up anything or instigate anything -- and there's no evidence that he did, it's purely Halle 7 Olivier's word against his. There's also no physical evidence he touched Olivier in any way, shape, or form.
