Dannielynn Birkhead Gets Put To Work At 6

You knew that it would not be that much longer before Dannielynn Birkhead got to work earning some money for her dad. I honestly thought he would go the acting route, but there is a little full circle quality to having the daughter of Anna Nicole Smith modeling for Guess which was also the employer of Anna. The six year old who looks like she is about 15 in the ads will be featured on billboards and buses. I hope you enjoyed your childhood.

  1. A 6 year old should be depicted playing and running around like a goofball...not laying against a stick like she's either exhausted or pining for a boy.

  2. Wow - she does look older than six. Hope like hell her dad takes good care of her :-(.

    1. To clarify, I think she's dressed appropriately. I just meant her face looks older than six. But of course she's made up to a degree for the shoot. Her face just looks more mature than the six year old girls I know in real life.

  3. Wow. She's six?!

I honestly thought he'd keep her away from fame.

  4. She looks clothing/age appropriate here. Why can't Larry (and all the other fame-hungry-pimp parents out there) let her be a normal kid. Plenty of time to model when she's an adult, if that's what she wants.

  5. Not surprised, he's going to milk her for whatever he can...
    Pretty kid...

  6. He said they approached him and this is a one off thing (supposedly as a tribute to her mom). If that's the case, no biggie. Overall, I think he has done a good job keeping her out of the spotlight and he seems to be a good dad. I suppose it IS possible to raise a relatively healthy kid in Hollywood.

    She's an absolutely gorgeous child.

  7. Yeah so far I'll give him a pass, and see if it is a one time thing. Guess approached them as a tribute to her mom, and the kid wanted to do it because of that.

I'm going to give Larry the benefit of the doubt for now. He's kept Dannielynn away from Hollywood for the most part. The clothing she's wearing is what most girls her age wears now.

I won't ring the alarm just yet. If it's a one-time thing, I'll go with it.

I don't think she looks so old. And the picture where she looks "exhausted or pining for a boy", to me she looks like a little girl dreaming. I did a lot of dreaming at 6, how about you? Apparently, as Lola says, they approached him, and he let her do it as a tribute to her mother, which she wanted to do. He said to her it was just a day playing in the sand, not work at all, and he has no intentions of making it a regular thing, or for her to become a model unless she chooses to do so. She's certainly a pretty little girl, and is dressed age-appropriate. I see nothing wrong in this at all.

  10. A six year old kid ran around on the beach in a skirt and cut off jacket. What is so inappropriate about that?
I think she looks lovely here.

  11. I saw them on GMA today and he said it was Dannielynn's way of connecting with her mother. I think he is doing a fantastic job with his daughter, way better then her own mother could have done for her. She was such a mess the last few years of her life.

  12. I'm not the least bit surprised. He claims she wanted to do it...yeah, a lot of little girls say that. He also claims it's a one time thing - that remains to be seen.

    She is very attractive.

  13. You knew the sperm donor was going to pimp out Anna Nicole's daughter as soon as he could. This is really disturbing.

    1. I think your reply is disturbing, he is her parent/caregiver not just a sperm donor Jesus she looks fine, better being in a cult or abused by family members.

  14. I think she is so adorable and the pics are appropriate. It's not that serious

  15. Anna Nicole's Guess days were probably the most positive period of her life. Her ads for them are iconic. I think this is a sweet tribute.

Larry Birkhead has always seemed to be putting his daughter's best interests ahead, and I don't see this ad campaign changing that.

  16. I think he's doing fine and the pic is appropriate. He seems so far like a decent father and he loves her very much.

  17. This makes me so sad. She's clearly a beautiful girl and if it's a few modeling jobs here and there, fine.

But if her dad is stupid enough to let her turn into an early version of her mother, custody should be given to someone not related to anyone in that family. God, protect that little girl.

  18. Having seen more than just this picture, she was dressed age appropriately and there ARE pictures of her playing. I wouldn't necessarily refer to him as "the sperm donor," madlyb, since he's been caring for her her whole life and has done a pretty good job of not parading her around or using her for pap money.

  19. My heart sank when I saw this, but after reading some comments...I'm hopeful. Larry has done a good job at keeping Dannielynn out of the spotlight, so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt here. She's a beautiful little girl.

  20. I don't see the problem with this. If she suddenly has no childhood because all she does is model, then, yeah, that would be an issue. Let's give the guy the benefit of the doubt and assume that this was a one-time thing.

...though even if she started doing a little more modeling, I wouldn't care as long as it was age appropriate and SHE wanted to do it.

Would you put your gorgeous 6 year old in an international jeans advertisement for an adult jeans company, that usually features playboy-esque models? I wouldn't.

  22. I'm a little surprised by the comments that he's kept her out of spotlight.

He did just the opposite for the first two years. He cut some kind of deal with Entertainment Tonight and they had the exclusive on this kid. They had features on her birthday parties, shopping, home life etc. he takes her to the Kentucky Derby and poses for photographers with her. It's only recently that she hasn't been in the media. Short memories here...

I think he's been trying very hard to keep her on the spotlight because she's his meal ticket, and it is the exclusive with Entertainment Tonight that both helped and hurt this pursuit of the limelight.

I think Larry is a cockroach and he's going to do whatever he can to build additional money & limelight opportunities from this campaign.

  23. From the history of Larry keeping out of the spotlight and the story behind this shoot (tribute to Anna and Larry saying it's a one time thing) I'm definitely giving him the benefit of the doubt. She is a beautiful child and I see nothing inappropriate. It's touching.

  24. I think she looks lovely.

  25. Enty should've published Larry's comments along with the picture. He explicitly states that she will not be modeling and that this was done as a tribute to her mother's history as a Guess girl. He a wants her to stay a kid as long as possible. I see nothing wrong with it. He has done a great job keeping her away from the media and I'm positive he has had all types of opportunities to pimp her out so there's nothing that would support the notion that his comments or motives are disingenuous.

    1. I agree. I too read whole interview. To dannilynn, it was a day playing at the beach and taking pictures. She is gorgeous, and i think larry, aside from that ditzy haircut, is a good dad. He really fought for her. Alot of men sld hv walked away.

  26. I hope you guys are right about him being a good dad. I'm sure you have more info than I do. I'd hate to see this little girl end up like her mom.

  27. gorgeous kid. i hope she has positive experiences.

reeces -- your f key is back?!

  28. Guess makes children's clothes too, they are not solely an adult clothes company.

  29. @T.E...I'm at a friend's house for the day. Sad thing is...I'm having a helluva time typing the F now! lol Btw, I opted not to purchase a keyboard last week after the boyfriend threw a hissy fit that I was just gonna get a cheap one...I kinda feel kike a bitch about it, but damn, throw a hissy fit in the electronics department?! I didn't break the damn thing and he never uses it. I'll probably buy one for a Christmas present. Hahaa!

    ReplyDelete
  30. @reeces, i used to work at radio shack and sometimes they have keyboards on sale. i got my mom a very nice one for like $9.

if he doesnt want you to get a cheap one, he should just buy one himself! :)

  31. I hope she gets a great private school education . Would be nice to see her do well.

    ReplyDelete
  32. She is adorable and I'm going to guess it was a very special moment for her and Larry. Hehe. See what I did there?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yeah, Larry completely gets a pass if this is just a special thing. Totally normal and age-appropriate photo. Very sweet, actually.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Broke my heart to see these pics. We'll see if Larry meant what he said. I have never believed for one minute that he would have fought as hard as he did for that child if he didn't think he at least had a shot at those millions Anna Nicole was fighting for.

This is for Guess Kids. You know, for kids. Like Dannielynn.

  36. why the fuck would seeing these pictures break anyone's heart?

dramatic much? Enty, post the whole story. HE was approached by THEM for a tribute to ANS.

A negative mind will find negative in anything.

  37. At least she's not nekkid like most kids at the beach.

  38. If you look at the other pictures she doesn't look older than six.

I think she looks so incredibly beautiful, she is a stunning girl. Not sure how I feel about working so early, I wouldn't want her to go down the same path as her mother did.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Beautiful shot. What a fun way for her to get to remember her mother.

    ReplyDelete
  40. God, she looks like her mommma.

I loved Larry during the trial when he was trying for custody--I sure hope he's as good a dad as he wanted to be.

    ReplyDelete
  41. He says this a one time thing and he may mean it now. But this ad campaign has gotten a lot of press and she really is a beautiful kid so I'm sure the offers will pour in. I don't know if he's got it in him to resist. For her sake, I sure hope he proves me wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  42. My Wow! She's six comment had nothing to do with how she looks in this pic, but that I can't believe it's been 6 years since she was born in the Bahamas.
After reading the article I do hope it is a one off.

I too wish Enty would've posted the whole back story on this shoot.

Guess (s)he wants us to hate Larry Birkhead.

    ReplyDelete
  44. He was all over ET when Dannielynn was a baby. I think the press just moved on. We'll see if he really means this is just a "one time thing." He has been showing up at the Kentucky Derby with her. I hope she gets a good education and can make something for herself.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Nothing at all wrong with this ad. I applaud him for fighting to prove it was his kid and taking care of her. Can you imagine where she would be if it were that slimeball Howard Stern?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Way to be an ass and not show all the photos in which she does indeed look like a six year old.

    ReplyDelete
  47. she's such a lovely little girl, i hope her dad protects her rather than pimp her out once the photos generate revenue and media saturation. i guess it could be worse. remember when it was howard k. claiming to be the father? he'd have exploited her in a heartbeat.

    ReplyDelete
  48. SHE IS BEAUTIFUL! what do you even do with a child/creature that stunning? she might as well begin her career now, it was coming weather she likes it or not. but, ha, lets be honest. she is going to LOVE this life for a long time to come, maybe she'll be jaded one day, but for right now, she's great. this is America, being young, hip, beautiful and well dressed with lots of money are the only things that matter. oh, and you must have an iphone, gotta have that iphone. and if you think I'm a moron because you are a mature adult who "knows better" then obviously you A. don't pay attention to the millennial children, and B. did not have any of the things I listed above.

    ReplyDelete
  49. He said it was just a one time thing and she wanted to do it like her Mom did. Guess went to them with the idea. She is dressed like a kid,she doesn't look slutty or anything. She is a beautiful little girl so I can see why they wanted her.I think so far Larry has done a good job with her. She seems to be a happy well adjusted little girl.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I wish I could say I didn't expect Birkhead to pimp out this little girl .. but frankly I am amazed it took him this long.

It is a horror and given how her mother ended .. you would think he would keep her as far from this BS as possible. But he is a scumbag and a fame whore .. so prepare yourselves for worse.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Huh. I never saw Larry as a scumbag or a fame whore. Wil, do you know something we don't? I mean, I'd just like to think that he's as normal as he seems, but if you have inside info, spill! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  52. I am so mixed on this. There's the part of me that thinks carrying on a legacy- following in your mother's footsteps-is very endearing. Then there another part that says "maybe we shouldn't have this little girl begin down the same path."

    ReplyDelete
  53. She does Not look 15 , she looks her age. These ads are so cute!

    ReplyDelete
  54. according to us weekly guess and birkhead declined to comment on who approached who regarding shooting the ad campaign. take that as you will.
