Daniel Craig Visits Military In Afghanistan

Over the weekend, Daniel Craig sent to Afghanistan. That is not usually one of the stops actors make when promoting their movies, but Daniel went and visited about 800 troops there and spent time talking to each one. All 800 of them. He fired machine guns and visited wounded in the hospital and of course did bring Skyfall to show to all of them. He could have easily skipped doing something like this, so I think it is great that he went out of his way to not only to visit, but to talk to everyone too.

  3. We watched Casino Royale again this weekend - our kids are old enough to see it now, so, twist my arm, I spent 2 hours ogling the delicious Mr. Craig. My kids both thought he needed to buy a new pair of swim trunks, though - they thought his looked too small and tight - hee hee.

I love to see news stories like this one :-).

  5. Artie Lange told his story years ago going into Afghanistan and how they went to areas other stars were too scared to go. He said it was a humbling experience knowing that they were less important than the toilet paper that needed to go to troops and would have to wait for a flight until the cargo went first. And how appreciative the troops were knowing they were in harms way just to entertain them. They had to go into bomb shelters a few times.

Good for Daniel, Skyfall is making a ton of money already, so it's not just some PR stunt.

  6. great!
Mark wahlberg did it also 2 years ago and McG & Bale showed their Terminator movie at the military camp close to their New Mexico set in 2009

  7. Another reason I want to spoon him to submission*.
*Disclaimer: I'm happily married but my husband has given me full approval to spoon Daniel Craig should the opportunity ever arise (arise haha).

  9. I didn't think it was possible that he could get any hotter. He has passed from smoking hot to flaming hot.

We finally saw Skyfall. I loved it. My favorite is still Casino Royale (and the aforementioned swim trunks that, in my opinion, fit just right).

  13. Good on you, Daniel. More stars should have his attitude.

  14. @alicia you do realise there are British troops there too, right?

I would do all sorts of nasty to Mr Craig - he's definitely on the lammie! Talking of Casino Royale, the swimsuit scene was yum, but more than that was the shower scene when he held Vesper... My womb swooned, I tell ya :)

  15. I just knew I didn't love Daniel for his looks alone!

Another grand moment in Casino Royale is his "all that I am" speech to Vesper.

The smile on the soldier's face next to him says it all. What a class act! I love it.

  23. My sister has just retruned from 'the Ghan'...bad timing for her!!

She said it was the worst year of her life...stressful, bad country, dangerous..so hats off to Daniel for heading there to give the guys a morale booster.

The saddest thing my sister told me is that none of the troops really get much mental and emotional support over there, and the majority will walk away with trauma effecting them to various extents.

    Good on you Mr Craig.

Daniel Craig's Iconic Beach Shot Was an Accident

In one scene, Bond was supposed to be swimming at the beach when he sees the wife riding on a horse and the two make eye contact.

Craig says that while shooting the scene, he accidentally hit an awkwardly situated sandbank that forced him to stand up and walk out of the water, instead of just floating off as the script said, thus showcasing his sculpted torso and causing Bond-gasms in roughly half the audience.
