Blind Item #5

This B- list Academy Award winning actor who is now on television mostly is cheating on his wife with the woman he cheated on his first wife with 20 years ago. They had not seen each other in almost 20 years and then ran into each other on his television show when she was a guest star.

  4. In a weird way I find this romantic. Maybe they belong together

  5. This sounds like Alec Baldwin, but he was only nominated.

  6. lol @kat - I can see how one could see it that way. It's not the most honest thing, but hey, sometimes people make mistakes.

    1. @amber they could be America's Prince Charles and Camille except no access to each other in 20 years

  7. F. Murray Abraham and Cuba Gooding Jr are both Oscar winners on tv.

  10. I think @von got it, Hutton.
There are several references on the magic Internet that he and the second wife were trying to work things out, as of July 2012. His wife lives in France, which would give him plenty of space to have a fling.

  11. Jeremy Irons on "The Borgias" maybe? I think that show is cancelled though and not sure he is "television mostly"?

  12. @kat - Kind of like Love in the Time of Cholera. It's my absolute favorite love story of all time and no one will ever be able to change my mind. :)

    1. @amber I never heard of that but I'll google it :)

    2. That damn movie was agonizingly frustrating. I wanted to kick someone throughout the entire movie.

    3. I read the book and thought it was just about a stalker pedophile, but to each their own.

  13. How about Kevin Costner and Mare Winningham? Kevin's first marriage ended in 1994. Mare starred with Kevin in both Wyatt Earp and The War in 1994. This year she was in his Hatfields and McCoys show. and Kevin has an Oscar for directing Dances With Wolves.

  14. @PlatinumBlonde - nice work - the question is whether Enty would refer to KC as mostly television, just based on a miniseries?

  15. @kat - Don't bother watching the movie. It's total garbage even though it has my beloved Javier Bardem. The book is beyond wonderful.

  16. I have nothing to contribute to the blind, but have to agree with Amber on Love in the Time of Cholera. The movie is tripe. Read the book. I have a first american edition that i keep on the shelf and have gone through 3 paperback copies of it.

  17. @PlatinumBlonde - I think you may have gotten it! The blind reads "...who is now on television mostly".

  18. Don Cheadle, House of Lies?

  19. Amber, Solitude is one my favorites, I keep meaning to get to Cholera, even bought a like new copy at a garage sale, but I never got to it, it's been 15 years! Thanks for the push.

  20. This could fit Timothy Hutton, but according to IMDB only a fairly small portion of the things he's done since 2000 have been for television. Unless Enty is taking into account that he has a current series (LOVE Leverage, btw!), he has "mostly" been working on non-TV projects. Plus, I haven't seen any of his known former flings on an episode of Leverage yet. But the show comes back from it's break tonight, so the timing of this blind is interesting.

That said, this blind seems relatively tame; two consenting adults, yadda yadda yadda. Adultery aside, I agree that it does seem kind of romantic.

  21. So Academy Award winners can be B-? I thought Oscar granted forever A status?!

  22. Leverage is in its 5th season so saying mostly television now is a reasonable statement.

  23. @ecua, The Santa Clause? Robbed? Heh.

@TinselSass, I think we've concluded that it doesn't. Example, Mira Sorvino, probably more of a C. Marisa Tomei, B. The aforementioned Cuba Gooding, Jr. and F. Murray Abraham probably also C. Beware the Supporting Actor/Actress award! Where are you, Renee Zellweger?!

  24. Thanks, @Outshined!

  25. It's Hutton - his first wife was Debra Winger, so she's the one he cheated on 20 years ago. Hm. The other woman doesn't have to be anyone famous, either - just a working actress.

  26. The cheater's wife won't think it's romantic. I hope she didn't sign a pre-nup. Also, while F. Murray Abraham is a C among fans, he is an A++ among actors in awe of his talents on stage and on screen.

  27. Maybe Timothy Hutton and Lauren Holly? She guested on Leverage and they were both in Beautiful Girls in 1996.
