Another General Is Going Down - Paula Broadwell's House Searched By FBI
The top General in Afghanistan who was scheduled to have confirmation hearings this week to be promoted, instead will probably lose his job and be forced to resign as it turns out he was sending as many as 30-40 e-mails daily back and forth to Jill Kelley. She is the other woman in the Petraeus affair and who Paula Broadwell saw as competition for the General's peen. It turns out that Jill already had another General even though they are both married. The FBI uncovered about 30,000 pages of communications between General John Allen and Jill Kelley. Those communications were during a two year period. So, 15,000 a year which is a little over 1,000 a month which is about 30 pages a day and that is being conservative. The FBI described the e-mails as intimate.

Thank goodness Presidant Obama didn't know...but I think this was planned as a set-up, that just didn't work out as planned.
ReplyDeleteThe FBI whistle blower went to Eric Cantor...let's all use our imaginations since we know what a sweetie he is.
why do I find all of this hilarious? Are they all just idiots who think no one will find out? Don't they know that people ALWAYS talk and everyone ALWAYS find out? Eventually...its just so funny...
ReplyDeleteEric Holder was also aware, but he's leaving the Administration (thank you!).
ReplyDeleteHere's the hyperlink for Agent's link to make it easier for those on a mobile!

Thank you!!
DeleteAmber, thanks ! I promise in 2013 I will learn to link...not promising to be successful, but at least I will try:)
DeleteThanks Amber!
DeleteThank you!! :-)
Deletei can't figure out how it was any kind of set up. who wanted to set up these guys? what reason would they have? it just sounds like we've discovered there are women who are 'general groupies' and they got in a catfight to me. and some FBI agent who obviously had some kind of relationship with jill kelley started the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteI don't get how anyone has time to send that many emails. Apparently the US Gov't's biggest Achilles Heel is the punani.
ReplyDeleteI can't get enough of this scandal! Not only General Alan, but the FBI agent was hung-up on Kelley too. The FBI agent became obsessed with her and sent her pics of him without a shirt and whatnot. I couldn't make this stuff up!
ReplyDeleteKelly must have some magical vagina!
ReplyDeleteAnd is there so much down time in a war zone to send that many emails? Were they just a few words or sentences, I am lucky if I can get through all me work emails in a day, let alone any personal ones!
Agent (& anyone else who wants/needs) - How to Make a Link
ReplyDeleteThank you, Amber, it's on my to do list . I just finished doing our health benefits for 2013 from my husband's comapny. I need an adult beverage .... while I can still afford it:) Glad we are all in this together !
DeleteGeneral Alan claims they were just "platonic" friends. I have platonic friends and they don't email me that much.
ReplyDeleteThis story keeps getting better and better. What kind of husband does Jill Kelley have?
ReplyDelete1. She is gorgeous, has huge tits, and "volunteers" at an Army base.
2. She has, according to one of Shagwell's e-mails, been playing footsie with Petraeus under the table.
3. She has been sending 30 intimate e-mails a day to another general.
4. She allowed an FBI agent to pursue her and send her shirtless photos.
And I thought Holly was oblivious. I know that Mr. Taffy would have sliced someone's cojones off if just one of these circumstances had occurred chez Taffy, and I sure don't look like Jill.
I wish I could say this is surprising, but we all know better. Something about being around that much power, around someone that can alter destiny on some level, brings out the pheromones in people. It's the ultimate turn-on. It's also the best way to get into trouble!
ReplyDelete@Turkish Taffy
ReplyDeleteKelley doesn't look so innocent anymore does she?
Oh, I'm not saying the boys are without blame..(so stuid) what I''m saying is someone wanted it revealed..
ReplyDeleteas soon as i saw her parade out of her house in that yellow dress i thought, "okay, she's taking her 15 minutes". this woman loves attention. her brother was on tv yesterday "giving her love and support". he came off like an attention whore as well.
ReplyDeletepeople like to screw. i'm tired of these stories. its like the painted screen where you stick different people's head through and take a picture. same story over and over w/ different names
When's the movie?
ReplyDeleteThe power of the magical vagina!
ReplyDeleteThat's why women make the greatest spies. You'll tell us anything in the afterglow!
Is there one person left to admire anymore?
ReplyDeleteThanks Amber for the quick tutorial!
ReplyDeleteI don't think Jill Kelley had any idea the can of worms she was opening by going to the FBI. I wonder if her house is next to be raided by the FBI.
Ha, I just found out yesterday she lives like 3-4 miles from me.
ReplyDeletegoheels - Can you spy for us? Be the CDAN reporter in the bushes?
Delete@surfer
ReplyDeleteYou KNOW her house is getting raided tonight! Dianne Feinstein is PISSED. There going to be a lot more raids about this.
In the Marines they're called "walking mattresses".
ReplyDelete@Henriette - you're probably right.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the links, guys.
ReplyDeleteAnd what did I tell you? Adultery is punishable in the UCMJ. Some big general who's supposed to uphold the highest standards of the military? Oh yeah. He's going down.
I suspect a LOT of people are going down over this drama.
ReplyDeleteJob openings! Let's go apply today! :-D
Pun intended?! ...lot of people are 'going down' over this drama....
ReplyDeleteToo funny. None of these people can keep their pants zipped?!?
You caught me, @ Silly Girl! I was being semi-cheeky, indeed.
ReplyDelete*does wacky dance off the stage before CDaNers throws rotten tomatoes at me*
Layna. I like your thinking! More jobs for us :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes g.strathmore - The military frowns on the cheating. This is a big deal. Powerful men always think they can get away with it. What a big mess!
@Lanya, it was awesome! I actually LOL'd! Good to see we still have a sense of humor about some things. Of course, it wasn't our husbands they were cheating with.... :)
ReplyDeleteThis gal must be dynamite!
ReplyDeleteAgent - did yours go up? My company's HI rates went down around $0.20 each age group. They've gone down little bit by little bit for the last few years and I've been feeling a little puzzled! We use a PPO.
ReplyDelete@Dia I will either run or drive by tonight. Google mapped it and its 2.6 miles from my house.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if anyone cares, you can look up her house here. Shows what they paid, tax value etc. Just type in last name, first name. The internet is awesome.
http://meckcama.co.mecklenburg.nc.us/relookup/
@Layna Day - you are funny! I had the dancing in a visual...nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the how-to link, Amber!
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one inserting Homeland characters into this drama?!?! Where are you, Sunny?
I don't get it. I just don't get it. The sex can't possibly be that amazing, can it?
ReplyDeleteSurely I'm not the only person here who's read John Irving's A Prayer for Owen Meaney, and who remembers the title character's line "SEX MAKES PEOPLE STUPID!", right? (If you haven't read the book, Owen always speaks in all caps, and the context in which he makes said statement is absolutely priceless.)
*smdh*
I'm no conspiracy theorist but it does make me kind of wonder. So these 2 tricks know each other? I find it a little curious.
ReplyDeleteA little offside - I feel sorry for the staff working in the office of her husband (a surgeon). Working in health care is stressful enough without having that kind of crap going on.
SusanB, "curiouser and curiouser":)
Deletehave these people ever read a paper, or watched a procedural tv show?? you emails cant be erased. Ever. and hundreds of them cant be erased!!!! How f*cking stupid are these people????!!!! I'm glad they got caught, they are too stupid to serve in any way. And the FBI agent? without the shirt?? u,,. sir, u dont hv tits, we arent t men, so no we dont care. And i thought the same thing when i saw miss fancy pants in the yellow dress: that is NOT keeping a low profile!! i dont even know what to say or think about how dumb people are in positions of authority. And I hope Holly kicks his ass to the curb. Ditto Broadstreet's husband . And anyone who thinks this is some sort of plot or plan can rest easy, as none of them are remotely capable of dong that!!! too dumb!
ReplyDeleteThis is why the Honey Trap works.
ReplyDeleteComplete idiots. That's nicer than what my BFF called them. He was so delighted to know what they were worried about whilsf he was out the wire.
@auntliddy - you are awesome!!
ReplyDeleteAwww, thanks! Right backatcha!!!
DeleteI find this all really interesting. When it first came out, we all thought Broadwell (the biographer) was nuts because she sent threatening emails to Miss Yellow Dress telling her in no uncertain terms to "stay away from her man." Now it seems like she wasn't so crazy after all.
ReplyDeleteSomeone here said she was shocked when this woman paraded out of her house in front of the cameras in that get-up... I totally agree. What I think? Broadwell knew Yellow Dress's reputation around the base, knew she had a known affair with this other general and maybe others, saw her turn her attentions toward Petreaus and took action to stop it.
And it also seems to me she was stringing this FBI agent along, too. A shirtless picture? Really? Did this guy learn nothing from Anthony Weiner?
No!!!! None of these men learn shit!!!! If theres a chance to impress some woman with the possibility of getting laid, all sense flies out the window.
DeleteClearly I've been dropped off the wrong planet?
ReplyDeleteEric Cantor is one of the republican's who also knew about this before the white house. How did he become involved?
ReplyDeleteUnless something concrete has come out in the last few hours (excluding the exchange of e-mails), I don't think it's fair to assume that Jill Kelly had a romantic relationship with this General.
ReplyDeleteThere's no reason for her to hide in her house, especially if nothing actually happened.
@Sherry - what I heard is that the FBI agent who had been contacted about the e-mails was the one who contacted Eric Cantor. That in and of itself is troubling.
Surfer, now they are saying Rep. Dave Reichert was first notified , then Cantor .
DeleteYes, surfer is right, the FBI guy (the one with the shirtless photo sent to Kelley) contacted Cantor about the threatening emails. Cantor sat on it for awhile I think. I'm quite sure Cantor was hoping this would be spun as connected to Benghazi but of course it's not.
ReplyDeleteIf this was a book or a movie, we'd groan about it being such a soap opera... yet again, fact is stranger than fiction.
The Benghazi story is not ruled out, quite yet. It does stand on its own as a viable story, even if there is no connection. I am not talking Obama here, I'm talking about what really happened and what the CIA is operating in Benghazi.
ReplyDeleteits like kelley wanted to get caught, as she was the one who complained to the fbi about the emails she was getting that were not threatening, but were annoying.
ReplyDeleteso she uses her contact at the fbi to get her special treatment to find out who was sending the emails. that was either uber dumb, or she wanted them to see the other emails, because thats what happened.
these two make rielle hunter look (almost) normal. as a female, I find them both an embarrassment to the gender.

ReplyDeleteWhy am I pretty sure the "30 pages a day" is going to end up being a couple dozen 1-2 line texts. You know like basically any couple with a cellphone sends. Only printed out in the most inefficient way possible, maybe each on its own government form.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't change the big picture that yes there was something going on, but making a big deal out of the "30,000 pages of communications" sounds like BS to me.
The things people sacrifice/do for sex. I seriously and utterly don't get it
ReplyDelete@hag it's not for sex, really...it's for appreciation ... That's one of the things that everyone wants.
Deletewhere's an astronaut in diapers driving cross country when you need one?
ReplyDeletewth is wrong with these women???
Famewhores! Yellow Dress wanted it all out in the open, she's like the Military version of Kim Kardashian.
This story is getting as complicated as a Ted Blind Vice.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part is how they describe her "job:" "Unpaid social liaison."
ReplyDeleteROFL....you can't make up stories as funny as this and with twists and turns like this one.
ReplyDeleteSo the threatened is really another skank (groupie, it seems) and perhaps Paula *was* right to feel threatened (not like Patraeus was her man anyhow).
Count me in as someone who can't get enough of this! This scandal makes Hollywood gossip seem lame.
ReplyDeleteStill think the timing of this is suspicious. It's taken everyone's mind off of what happened in Benghazi, hasn't it?
ReplyDeleteNo, we know what happened. Some of our finest were murdered by thugs. Thry r the ones to blame. Period.
DeleteFor some reason all I could think of was Jon Hamm's SNL skit where he's a politician and everyone wants to sleep with him.
ReplyDelete@Layna that was too cute!
Also, I feel bad for the kids. They always seem to get the short end of the stick in crap like this. :(
::waiting for Gloria Alred to get involved::
ReplyDeleteNo wonder our country is in such a mess if the people in charge spend this much time under the desk.
Okay, so who do you want to play who (whom?) in the Lifetime TV Movie of the Week?
ReplyDeleteSuggestions?
Harrison ford as petraeus. Or dennis quaid. For broadwell, i like naomi watts. For yellow dress, oh, debbie mazur, cldnt think of her name. And jerry mathers as the beaver, lol. But i stand by the others.
Delete@SusanB If it was meant as a distraction for Benghazi, then I think they failed horribly. Benghazi is mentioned a lot in the articles about this mess.
ReplyDeleteI do think this was held off until after the election purposefully. I also noticed that congressional staffers are coming back to work this week and Keystone pipeline may be rearing its ugly head again. In addition, H.Berman, one of the guys with the biggest hard-on for SOPA is being considered for SoS when Clinton steps down. Is it one of these things or something else they're trying to distract us from? But if that was the case, then why make an example of Petraeus of all people? He was just appointed to his position not that long ago and doesn't seem nearly as shady (if you discount his sexual antics) as a whole array of others that could be chosen. If you wanted to make an example of someone and create a circus sideshow in the media, there are plenty of juicier morsels to pick from the corruption buffet that is politics.
The naive part of me hopes that this is the start of real change and that individuals in positions of power will start to be held accountable for the idiotic dramas they stage. I'm not sure what to believe though.
I agree with a lot of what's already been said so I'll leave that alone. I did read the Washington Post link and a source indicated why there may be a such a vast number of emails. That person's explanation was that the many of the emails were on the same thread. Therefore, each subsequent email in the thread would be longer and longer. I buy that. The explanation that he used the appellation "sweetheart" because he was from Virgnia--not so much
ReplyDeleteThanks, Surfer!
ReplyDeleteI love a good political scandal...

ReplyDeleteAgent**It - sadly, I think a lot more names will be dragged through the mud before this is over.
ReplyDeleteAccording to Mediaite, a third general is in trouble (though not for cheating, just "lavish spending."
Oy.
I think so too, as petraeus was lightening quick to resign.
DeleteSurfer,it gets "worser and worser". It will likely tie into Benghazi and the upcoming Sec of State hearings , etc. I feel badly for Mrs. Patreus and Obama. They both need to kick people to the curb!
ReplyDeleteAgent**It - maybe I'm naive, but I think the Benghazi issue is separate and apart from this - at least in terms of the women. I'm sure Patraeus knew things, but I don't think the two have anything to do with each other.
ReplyDeleteThere will be lots of gossip reported as fact, but when(ever) the dust settles, I guess that's when we'll know how much is actually true.
But Paula Broadwell sending threatening e-mails to someone she perceives as a threat, is not only pathetic, but shows how she was losing control. So many families are now dealing with the fallout, it's really sad.
Surfer, we're on the same page. "Likely tie into Benghazi ". Broadwell, in one of her lectures, gave information that she stated was highly sourced about Benghazi that the CIA later denied. What she said conflicted with what Rice said to the press about Benghazi on behalf of the administration. So there is a "link " and they will all run with it.I wonder who has bought the movie rights ?
DeleteI can't get enough of this stuff! Yellow Dress (that's what I call her now) actually was watching TV while the paps were outside taking her picture. It looked so bizarre! Talk about lapping this stuff up.
ReplyDeleteIt really bothers me that these are some of the most powerful people on the planet...
ReplyDeleteAgent$$It and Surfer, you're both right about the link between Benghazi and Broadwell's knowledge of confidential information. Her public remarks during a speech referenced info that had not been released to the public. I included this in my comment yesterday to Enty's post re Petraeus and Tiger [penultimate comment at present; Ms. Taffy posted after i did].
ReplyDeleteAlso, another general [another four star, too, i think] is going down for taking his wife on shopping sprees and accepting inappropriate gifts.
And, yes, they'll be horribly embarrassed and resign early, but you can bet that they'll end up in the private sector earning big bucks that even alimony payments won't eat up.
The sad thing is that some couples have 1000/2500/5000/whatever mile rules [or 'rules' re time apart] that are mutually agreed to by both partners. Unfortunately w/today's media, you can't count on keeping a low profile especially when you reach a certain level of fame or power.
Sorry, Agent**It....
ReplyDeleteelspeth, sorry for what? that was a great comment ! ! On a different aspect, I have been thinking about Mrs.Petraeus.After reading what feels like a thousand "news" stories along with comments, I am appalled that in addition to having to live through this experience, she is being attacked by sexists regarding her appearance. I think there are about 8 sections to this "event" that we are all tracking. As Tiny Tim would say, God bless us all:)
DeleteHolly is fine, just doesnt dress like a whore is all.
ReplyDelete@Agent**It, 'Sorry' because i misspelled your 'name' in the first post.
ReplyDeleteFortunately i've missed posts/criticisms re Holly Petraeus' appearance although i'm not surprised they're being made.
I'm guessing we're going to need all the 'Blessings' that any and all entities can send down for us ;0
Curlyhairslacker - Why not insert Homeland characters into this? They're both from the same town: Charlotte, NC! If Homeland hadn't already wrapped, they could drive down Broadwell's street and save money on locations, and extras playing reporters.
ReplyDelete
