Saturday Night Live

I would say last night was a tie for the top sketch. Bond Girls was the best Daniel Craig sketch and then there was Big Bird.

  1. I love snl but last night sucked. I fast forwarded through most of it in a half hour.

  2. The Bond girls sketch was funny - at first I really thought that was Diane Keaton and they had somehow put Daniel Craig in bed with her in one of her old movies.

The MSNBC sketch was hilarious. Good to see they can skewer both sides of the debate.

  3. I watched the show with the DVR and each week I don't find the humor. I thought both Big Bird and the Bond Girls were cute. Nothing made me laugh out loud. I can't remeber the last time I laughed at an SNL sketch.

  4. I honestly haven't watched SNL since the days of G.E Smith and Jan Hooks.

  5. SNL sucked last night! Daniel Craig really needed his cue cards. I liked the Big Bird spot the best.

  6. The funniest thing was the actual promo for the show. One of the players was dressed "Bond-like and had a gun and Daniel Craig said in a wimpy voice that he was afraid of guns.

  9. As you know, I really love Daniel Craig. I must amend that to say I really love Daniel Craig as James Bond. Last night was atrocious. I did love the Bond Girls skit, though.

  11. Daniel Craig was okay this week on SNL in the few skits he was in. I think Kate McKinnon was the real star though, as she had many skits and did make me laugh in Lesser Known Bond Girls. I couldn’t catch the show last night since I was working late at DISH. I set my Hopper a while back to record the entire season to the two terabyte DVR automatically. I am just happy that I can watch it when I want without having to worry about how much space I’ve got. I can’t wait to see Christina Applegate next week!

  12. That must have been some Thursday morning meeting in Lorne's Office:

Seth: "Lorne, can you get Big Bird on the show Saturday night?"

Lorne: "Big Bird, did you say?"

    Seth: "That's right. Big Bird"

    Lorne: "Riiiiiight...well okay."

Who'd have imagined a week ago that the big SNL cameo this week would be - Big Bird?

  13. @annabella that woman's name is Kate McKinnon and she hails from the big gay sketch comedy show on Logo. If you agree that she is super talented check out her work on that show. To be fair, most of those folks are ridiculously talented. I will say that I was ecstatic to see her on SNL and was curious how long it would take for them to give her more air time.

  14. I think Daniel gave it a good try. He seemed nervous during the opening. The Bond girls was a pretty good sketch and the new woman did some great impersonations. After that I flipped the channel to Frasier reruns.

She's the breakout star this season , along with the new Obama impersonator.

  18. My favorite Kate McKinnon sketch was the one when Sofia Vergara hosted...it was Penelope Cruz (McKinnon) and Sofia Vergara (herself) filming a Pantene commercial. I laughed so hard ...

  20. Yes that girl Kate is fantastic!! Great Ellen impersonation and the long island medium was hysterical. "I may be a medium but at Chico's, I'm a large!"
