Sammi Kane Kraft Has Died
Sammi Kane Kraft only had one movie role in her short life, but it was a good one. She starred in the remake of The Bad News Bears with Billy Bob Thornton. Sammi got the role first played by Tatum O'Neal because she could throw a baseball really fast. Plus, she had great interaction with Billy which is tough to do. Sammi was killed on Tuesday when the car she was riding in collided with another vehicle. The driver of Sammi's car was arrested and charged with felony drunk driving. Sammi was 20.
This is a sad way to start a day. The BNB remake w/ Billy Bob was actually pretty funny. RIP lady. Too soon.
ReplyDeleteI don't know her, but this is a sad story. RIP. I hate drunk drivers. That's such a stupid statement, but it's as elementary as it gets.
ReplyDeleteRIP beautiful girl. I hope there is justice for her.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great scene where she walks out with BillyBob while Nugent wails in thed background
ReplyDeleteSo young, so sad. Rest in peace, Sammi.
ReplyDeleteSo sad, so young.
ReplyDeleteVery sad.
ReplyDeleteNever saw the remake because I refuse to watch remakes of my favourite movies, but this young woman should have lived long enough to have other opportunities.
Poor girl, what a shame.
ReplyDeleteThen again...she was riding with a drunk driver. Of course she doesn't deserve it, but when you get in a car with a drunk driver, you are putting yourself (and others) in great danger.
Figgy - Agreed about the "shoulda known better" concept - but I also remember some serious lapses in judgment when I was 20. Fortunately, I'm still here to remember them...
ReplyDeleteSecond time today this topic has come up for me :-(
I hate stories like this. Unfortunately, they happen all too often. How hard is it to resolve not to get behind a wheel when you've had too much to drink? Then again, drinking too much causes a significant lack of judgement. Just tragic. RIP, and warm thoughts to her friends and family. :(
ReplyDeleteThis is very sad and not only will the driver have to deal with a jail sentence, she will also have to live with the fact that her actions killed her friend.
ReplyDeletePoor girl. My sympathies to her family and friends. What an awful thing. She was so beautiful. RIP sweet girl.
ReplyDeleteI hate drunk drivers.
omg, that's so sad... :( RIP
ReplyDeletejust too, too young :(
