RFK Jr. Sent Daughter To Live With Cheryl Hines After Her Mother's Suicide

Robert F. Kennedy Jr says he could not handle how his 16 year old daughter Kyra was coping with the death of her mother by suicide so he packed her up and shipped her off to live with Cheryl Hines. According to Radar, Cheryl was the reason Kyra's mom had committed suicide so it does seem kind of crass to send Kyra to go live with Cheryl. Apparently Robert was also worried that somehow Kyra might embarrass him or do something wrong so best get her out of the way so he didn't have to deal with it or her. You know, every article or story I have ever read about this guy makes me wonder what Cheryl Hines ever has seen in him. I also wonder if he ever hit on Taylor Swift. Would you put it past him to throw out a couple of feelers?

Shocked as a Kennedy, she hadn't already been shipped off to boarding school.

  2. Comes off as a pig. And my opinion of Cheryl is pretty low because of her association with him.

  3. who knows what really happened. cheryl hines seems like a very nice person. and she's not the reason why the mother committed suicide. she was a deeply disturbed woman who was an alcoholic apparently and who was devastated by her divorce and exhausted from fighting the kennedy clan. hines wasn't the reason for the divorce.

so, lets not blame cheryl hines.

  4. I remember reading an article the reason Taylor Swift took up with Kennedy's 18 YR old son Connor(after she wasn't allowed to hook up with his cousin as the cousin's mother forbid it)in the first place was to get to the father RFK JR.She's said to be obsessed with the Kennedy's and to be a social climber and wants to marry into the family however she can manage it.

  5. Crass and Kennedy go together like bacon and eggs. And sorry, Cheryl Hines may be a very nice person but I also question her judgment. She may not have been the cause of the divorce but she doesn't seem to care about Robert's character very much. Perhaps she's got the same obsession Taylor Swift seems to have.

  6. Oh gee, a Kennedy did something jerky/shady. In other news: I'm awake right now.

  7. Taylor Swift is no innocent, I'm over pretending she is. If anything she put the feelers out on him (her first hit was titled Tim McGraw. Some day she'll finally do something that tips all this sentiment out of her favor).

  8. @Amy what does her Tim TcGraw song have to do with her not being innocent? LOL have you ever read the lyrics?
"But when you think "Tim McGraw"
I hope you think my favorite song
The one we danced to all night long
The moon like a spotlight on the lake"

    come on now, thats reaching

What kind of monster is this guy? his wife commits suicide to escape him and he's openly having an affair, sends his kid to go live with the other woman. He obviously has no idea what responsibility for a child, or taking responsibility for your actions means.

  10. I usually agree with Enty but throwing the blame on Cheryl is not cool. She committed suicide becuase her pig of a husband was going to have her evicted from the marital home and was drowning in debt that he had no intention of helping her with and was about to lose custody of her children to him. The affair didn't help but was going on long before she hanged herself.

  11. *edit* I read the post wrong, it isn't enty's opinion it is Radar's.

  12. The only Kennedy left with class (IMO) is Caroline. I'm still mourning the loss of JFK Jr...cripes man, why oh why did he decide to fly the plane that night?
That aside, this is a family that obviously considers itself American royalty and don't think common sense or rules apply to them. Him being an egotistical no compassion filled prick is not news. OF COURSE he's going to do what suits him. What else would/should we expect?

  13. @cinephreak -- She's a celebrity name-dropping ladder-climbing whore. Are there any hits she's had that aren't based on someone else's fame?

And she's a creep to boot.

    He's s an ass.

  15. I thought Taylor Swift's first hit was "Teardrops on My Guitar". The Tim McGraw song is about her bf remembering her when a certain Tim McGraw is on, not about Tim McGraw himself.

Swift got famous before she even graduated high school and I think she has a stage mother. I can totally see her turning out like LeAnn Rimes.

That said, all the Kennedys (except Caroline) are a-holes. Every one of them.

  16. The song isn't about Tim McGraw himself, you're correct, but having his name in the title sure drew attention to the song!! How did she become famous anyway? Youtube? Ugh. And Robert. Robert. Why, why, why would you send your daughter across the country?! She needs you the most right now. You missed an opportunity that could effect the rest of her life. Dumbass.

  17. I don't EVER recall reading that Swift was after the father. The girl is cheesy and a bane on modern culture, but come on!

RFK's kids are a-holes of mythical proportion, and I sincerely doubt that RFK Jr's wife was in the dark about that little fact. I don't get the line of sympathy on this site sometimes. The wife, was hounded to death by her evil ex, and then leaves their kids to his tender mercies is a complete victim? How about the poor woman had some profound emotional disorders that left her completely unable to cope with and thrive in her marital situation?

All that being said, he needs to suck it up and focus on his kids, not his schlong.

  18. What a prince! The only thing that matters about how his daughter is handling her mother's suicide is how it affects HIM!?! Such an asshole, dick move. I hope she spills all his dirty little secrets.

  19. Did any of rfk's kids turn out decent? They're all chips off the old block

  20. That is a very strong accusation Enty. Did you have a postmortem chat with Mary where she explained that the reason she committed suicide was for Ms. Hines?

I take most of the stuff on here with a grain of salt but placing the blame of someone else's suicide onto another person without any facts really disturbs me.

  21. I think it's perfectly legitimate to throw shade at Cheryl Hines. She was mysteriously divorced all of a sudden when she started stepping out with Kennedy, it smells like she dumped her husband to run around with this pig.

    ReplyDelete
  22. As someone who has experienced suicide in their lives, the only person to blame is the person that took their own life, no one else. Suggesting otherwise is simply ignorant.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm looking to you to Radar! There is no way they could possibly know the reason behind her death.

  24. The Kennedy clan history is filled with self indulgent, immoral behavior joe Kennedy was no saint and rose was a horrible example for her children, so Robert
Kennedy jr behavior is no surprise.

    ReplyDelete
  25. The one who commits suicide and leaves her children motherless and devastated never has to answer questions nor explain herself, and she is automatically assumed to be deserving of sympathy. She was once "the other woman" herself and so was stupid to think he would never cheat on her, too. She was a mentally ill alcoholic who made a selfish decision and abandoned her daughter. That is worse than RFK's alleged abandonment now.

  27. I find it hard to believe that there is not someone in Mary's family who would not have reached out to any of her children.

Oh yeah...they hate RFK...scratch that. Cue the girlfriend.

  28. Fuck you. As someone who teeters the the suicide line almost every friggin' day, you can KISS MY ASS for calling it selfish. I think about it always. ALWAYS. How I would do it. And how I would do it so how it could benefit those I love. (You get what I mean.)

  29. Nothing about the Kennedys surprises me anymore.

  30. Rfk jr had many tumultuous years with mary's behaviour. She was mentally ill, pysically abusive toward him, and an alcoholic. Her family, as proven by emails, REFUSED ti belueve him that she was suicidal and needed help. They wldnt help him get her help, just kept saying it was rfk's fault. She committed suicide because she cldnt deal with her problems. She lost custody of kids because she was DANGEROUS to them. She stalked him. The point is, he loved her very muchat one time, but she was deeply troubled. Unless u hv lived with someone like that, u cant judge. As for the hines thing, i hv no idea if she's good for daughter or not. And im not a big kennedy apologist, but be fair.

  31. Suicide isn't selfish; it's a desperate act of desperation from a desperate person who feels hopeless and sees no other way out. Unless you have been on the brink of suicide you have no idea what it's like and should be grateful you've never been in such a dark place.

    ReplyDelete
  32. RFK Jr. is a crass jerk no question, and Hines foolish for being involved w/him considering his past with women (don't forget he cheated on his 1st wife too) but will jump in to defend her and this scenario for a second...Hines is close to RFK's older two kids from his 1st marriage, both of whom live in LA and one of whom is an up-and-coming actress, she's helped her out making connections in Hwood and this his supposedly how she and RFK Jr got close and eventually together. His three younger kids (by late 2nd wife) all know Hines, it stands to reason that perhaps it wasn't a burden to either party (Hines/Kyra) to have her stay in LA w/Hines for a while, esp. in the glaring negative spotlight that ensued after Mary's suicide.

If Kyra was having problems in the aftermath and hanging out with a weird crowd (always a Kennedy problem) it might have been ok to send her away to someone she and the family trusted. God knows Bobby Jr. isn't known to have great coping skills and relations w/Mary K's family were poor after her death. Just casting a different light on the situation - can't blame Enty or others for being negative re. anything about Bobby Jr.

  33. Suicide isn't selfish. My dad and brother committed suicide because they both had issues with depression. I'll never blame them, or think them selfish, even though I wish they were still alive. Some people will never understand the agonizing, crippling, horrific hell other people have to deal with in their own minds, all the while knowing others will never understand or be able to help them. It's easy to judge, but you would be wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  34. The only decent Kennedy was Eunice Shriver. The cousins, including Caroline and JFK JR, were/are entitled jerks. Ted Kennedy comes in second as the most horrific of them all, but his Dad comes in first.

  35. @Mango...

Respectfully, there is no way, no how, no where that will not devastate those you leave behind.

Have you talked to your family about how you are feeling? Have you talked to a friend? Have you talked to a pastor? Do you have someone to talk to?

You need to get help. And I am not saying that glibly. Let the people who love you help you. There IS help.

If you have no one, please, I beg you, email me. I will give you my phone number can you can talk to me, as much and as long as you need to.

You are not alone. No pain is permanent. It can get better. I know.

    Please...talk to someone.

  36. Calling suicide selfish is like calling diabetes selfish.
Usually suicidal people are in so much incredible pain, that those who can't experience it, can't imagine it.
Calling suicide selfish is, well, selfish.

I don't want to disagree (although I disagree). I think they ARE selfish. HURTFUL even. No regards for the hearts left behind.

I am so sorry for your loss

  38. @Mango-

I agree with Lola- there is no way to ease the pain for your loved ones. The loss of your life would be devestating to those who love you- no matter how you die.

There is always a chance to make things better- even at the bottom of the darkest out- there can still be light. I understand that if your even thinking about suicide- that you are dealing with a deep, deep pain that not many can understand. Talk to someone, anyone, even weird strange people on the Internet. Know that you are not alone. There can be happiness, even when it seems so far out of reach. It can get better.

  39. It is obviously ridiculous to say that Cheryl Hines is responsible for the suicide if Mary Kennedy. Could her relationship with RFK have made Mary worse? Sure, but that is not Cheryl's fault. The only thing Cheryl Hines is guilty of is bad taste in men.

  42. The public has no idea if she was a disturbed individual. The only way the public knows that is because of what the Kennedy's say and they don't want to be painted as the bad guys so they paint her as mental ill. What an easy out for them. Also I'm not a mother but to leave your children you must be pretty desperate to think they would be better off without you. Finally it's not polite to disrespect the dead. Nobody knows what was going on with Mary except Mary.

  44. oh, James van pragh, I know some dont believer him, but he theorizes a person who commits suicide is a soul that has come back too soon. He says they usually say they dont fit in, they dont feel like they belong. Suicide is the only relief they can get. If thats of any comfort to anyone, so be it.
