Real Life Barbie & Real Life Anime Are Friends
Last month I posted about the woman who spends all of her time trying to make herself look like a doll. Well, not all her time because she found the time to be bff with the woman who wants to be a real life anime (photographed together above). Why do I get the feeling that Anastasiya Shpagina, who is 19 years old and from the Ukraine could make millions of dollars in Japan. Apparently she spends as much as 30 minutes just to get one eye correct with her makeup. That is crazy. She also has online tutorials on how to apply her makeup. If this is is a hobby that is one thing, but she is considering making all of this makeup permanent. That is crazy. That is too much. There is a career for her if she keeps it like it is, but if you make something permanent, then I feel like there is something wrong with you and you need help.
Her skills are great, whether it's freaking weird or not. I think she should create a makeup line and it would sell like crazy. It's good she has the YouTube vids, I wonder if she could turn this into real life classes. And I'd love to see what other styles she can do bc this is very good and I don't think ever been done before. BUT IT'S WEIRD TO LIVE LIKE THIS!
ReplyDeleteThat is just creepy.
ReplyDeleteIt is weird. Katso has right idea; channel this into a business!
ReplyDeleteNo doubt she could (or maybe already does) make a living as an escort in Japan. She might not even have to have sex with the guys, just a geisha-like companion...?
ReplyDeleteI dunno, in a world of weird stuff, this particular bent seems pretty harmless.
Makeup talent - yes, very much. This could turn into a career.
ReplyDeleteMake it permanent on your face - are you crazy??!!
All these body modification people freak me out.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, those extra wide iris contacts are REALLY uncomfortable. I wore some for Halloween once. Never again.
@gstrath what do the contacts feel like?
DeleteThese girls need therapy STAT!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know how much they spend on make up
ReplyDeleteWAYYY too much lol
DeleteHowever! I did notice she uses the same mascara as I do, which is $9 Maybelinne hah
This is pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteNightmare fuel
ReplyDeleteWow...great makeup work. Very creative...but it's still creepy. What happens when they start to age and don't look like little girls anymore?
ReplyDeleteIf the real life Anime gig doesn't work out, I think she's got a serious career as a makeup artist. Not the "normal" kind, but definitely in the movie industry. Being able to create the illusion she does is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI'm just trying to picture a 70 year old anime person
ReplyDeleteAnime girl is also 5'2 and 85lbs.
ReplyDeleteNot healthy.
Well now I have a Halloween make up idea!!
ReplyDeleteAll of the stuff she puts on her skin to make it look so plastic and flawless scares me. Surely her skin can't breathe at all under all that!
ReplyDelete@kats, first they're hard to get in because they're thicker than ordinary contacts. I think also because of being thicker, they're stiffer so they put more pressure on your eyeball.
ReplyDeleteSince they are not actual corrective lenses, they're not designed to help you see and in fact make it a little harder to see because there's just a pinhole of visibility surrounded by an expanse of very opaque color. I remember getting a headache within the first hour or so. Whether it was because of my eyes trying to focus through the pinhole of translucence or the pressure on my eyeball, I don't know. Probably a little of both.
I took them out that night, but the next day my eyes felt dry and kind of bruised if that makes any sense. It was an icky feeling.
Eww gross thanks @gstrath. Thicker contacts sound completely gross and annoying!
DeleteHow cool would they be as characters that walk around AS the character Like at Disney World?
That's a good idea! Hah
DeleteWow, that is weird and fascinating at the same time!
ReplyDeleteIf you think anime girl is small, check out full body pics of the Barbie girl. Her waist is so small its disgusting.
ReplyDeletei thought they were the same person!??!
ReplyDeleteI find her disturbing to look at.
ReplyDeleteIs Anastasia's last name Vagina? Seriously peope look at that! The video wasn't there for me so I'll need to findit on youtube.
ReplyDeleteI found the makeup tutorial strangely soothing and relaxing. they wear too many rings.
ReplyDeleteWow, as a mascara and lipstick kinda gal, I'm strangely fascinated. She definitely could have a career in makeup. I'm gonna have to watch more videos about them while I'm at work tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThx for the contact info, g! I've always wondered about them! They look creepy, but don't sound like they are worth the trouble.
