Britney Spears hit a red carpet. Rare enough, but to have Jason Trawick show up is really rare.
Jordin Sparks just keeps dropping weight.
But not as much weight as Miley Cyrus.
Abbie Cornish at the premiere of her new movie.
Her bestie Vanessa Hudgens showed up and hit the free booze.
Jewel was there.
It is really good to see Gabourey Sidibe who is also in the movie.
Sam Rockwell and Christoper Walken. They were supposed to be on top.
Too skinny are Miley and Jordan. Too too skinny. And ehrmergod I dislike Vanessa's "sexy duck face" pose.

Jordan has lost too much weight. I wonder if it's healthy or not. Miley obviously has exercise bulimia and I think Jordan might have had Lapband surgery.. But then again, I also think J HUD had lap band too.

ReplyDeleteI'm just going to defend the skinny girls. I think they both look great, Jordan did it the healthy way and Miley was never big, plus pot brings good metabolism and we always see her running. There is a such thing as a naturally skinny girl.
ReplyDeleteOn the other end, my first thought when seeing Gabourney, was holy hell girl how long do you want to live for? My friend has met and she was a horribly unpleasant person.
Gabourey*, and to clarify I could care less abt anyone's weight and do not understand why everyone is so sensitive to that. I only said something about her size because I am legitimately concerned for her health.

DeleteFat or skinny you can have health issues. Both can lead to heart failure. You can be healthy and fat just like you can be healthy skinny. To be "seriously concerned" about a person who you've never met and probably won't me is admirable and sensitive.

She seems like a smart girl and I'm sure that if her doctor told her she was having health problems due to her weight, she'd lose a few pounds. But you don't know that she is unhealthy just because she is overweight. Your "concern for her health" is just thinly veiled fat phobia.

ReplyDeleteI really don't see how Jordin looks unhealthy being thinner. I don't see any protruding bones or veins or anything of the sort. I have no idea if either her or Miley lost weight in an unhealthy way. If they did, then yes, they're both unhealthy. But exercising and not eating whatever you want because it's there does not an unhealthy person make.

ReplyDeleteIf someone says that a woman is an unhealthy weight, it's fat phobia? I'm not saying that I think anyone over a size 6 is overweight. What i'm saying is when your THAT heavy, it's not healthy. If she's a food addict, she won't stop and lose a few pounds just because the doctor said so. That's like saying an alcoholic will stop drinking if their doctor says it's bad for them. I don't know shit about her though so I don't know what her issue is, but she does look to be an unhealthy weight from an outsider's perspective. That can't be debated. I don't think it's fat phobia if you're pointing out an obvious fact. The stress that much weight puts on the organs and the risk of diabetes is well documented in regards to morbid obesity.
ReplyDeleteOn the other side of the coin, Miley and Jordin are too skinny? Miley looks perfectly healthy. Her complexion is GORGEOUS and she's proportionate. Jordin still has curves, she's just got a more defined hourglass because she has a waist now. Her arms are perfectly healthy looking and her skin also looks great. But I agree with Maja, She did look better with a little bit more weight on her.
In closing, I'd just like to say SAM ROCKWELL! ALL. DAY. LONG. HITTIN'. THAT.

ReplyDeleteWeighing in on the weight debate! LOL I amuse myself. I'll agree that Miley is naturally tiny. Jordan is FAR too thin, and if Gabourey sees a doctor regularly and her blood pressure and cholesterol are okay (which yes, they very well could be) then she's fine.
ReplyDeleteI came on to post about Gabourey's weight. I understand that her weight is her "brand" but she has gained it seems. That is not healthy.
ReplyDeleteJordin seems to be losing more weight and is on the way to appearing as if she has an eating disorder.
It's a shame women have to worry so much about weight that it affects their health in a positive or negative way.
Melissa McCarthy isn't pictured here but I'm concerned about her too.

ReplyDeleteBeing really overweight is unhealthy - I don't see how that's up for debate (I'm walking that line myself). It's hard on every part of your body. I can't think of one thing being obese is GOOD for on a person's body. (And don't say psychologically, because I don't buy it).

Lol I will be completely honest, that's more of a street myth than proven fact. Just is mostly true for the people I know in my life that partake. I did say she was always small tho, I'm sure in her case its more to do with her naturally having a good metabolism.

Seeing Jordin and Miley, and then Cornish was shocking. They both look incredibly unhealthy when you compare their pictures to Abbie Cornish. I'm sick of thin being in, I want healthy to be trendy!

ReplyDeleteMy friend that I have written about as having lost a lot of weight & my concerns for her health - she is still losing weight and the skin is hanging on her arms - to the point my husband has noticed. When we went out for dinner she went to the toilet after each course. She is way skinnier than she was in school, and she was only a size 12 back then. I am horrified but everyone else is in denial. She did have some weight to lose, but now I fear she is in full-blown eating disorder mind set. It scares the hell out of me. Please remember that this can be the consequence of weight talk.
