National Enquirer Blind Item
WHICH former film actress has not been warmly received at her new gig on a long-running TV detective drama? Turns out she’s not only clashing with one of the male stars, but she’s also finding it extremely difficult to memorize the scripts that are loaded with medical and scientific jargon.
Jeanne Tripplehorn, in Criminal Minds?
ReplyDeleteElizabeth shue, csi
ReplyDeleteElizabeth Shue in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation?
ReplyDeleteLucy Liu in the new Sherlock show.
ReplyDeleteOh wait, long-running? My bad.
ReplyDeleteExcept Jeanne Trip did Big Love for 5 years.
ReplyDeleteExcept Jeanne Trip did Big Love for 5 years.
ReplyDeleteI'll always have a soft spot for Elizabeth, she was in the awesomeness that is Adventures in Babysitting, but her acting ability varies. I'll go with her too.
ReplyDelete"Don't FUCK with the babysitter!" Hehe
ReplyDeleteHmm..Jeanne Tripplehorn and Elizabeth Shue are both good guesses. CSI has more jargon, though. I wonder who the male costar is?
ReplyDeleteGeorge Eads/Nick Stokes-coworker
Ted Danson/D.B. Russell-former boss
Eric Szmanda/Greg Sanders-coworker
Marc Vann/Conrad Ecklie-current boss
Enrique Murciano/Det. Carlos Moreno-love interest
I have trouble picturing her clashing with any of those guys, though.
The guys on Criminal Minds
ReplyDeleteShemar Moore/Derek Morgan-team member
Matthew Gray Gubler/Dr. Spencer Reid-team member
Thomas Gibson/Aaron Hotchner-boss
Joe Mantegna/David Rossi-team member
Are any of those guys troublesome?
My first guess was Tripplehorn. I'd like to think it is her,m because I love Elisabeth Shue. (BTW, she and Ted Danson are fantastic on CSI)
ReplyDeleteg.strathmore, those are four of the most loveable characters ever. I wonder if the actors themselves are jerks. My little Shemar can't be evil, bless his little naked beach photo heart.
ReplyDelete@Barton, I agree.
ReplyDeleteI have it on good authority that E Shue is a major pain in the arse on the CSI set.
ReplyDeleteIt's either Tripplehorn or Shue, I love both of them so this bums me out whomever it is! Both shows have great casts.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth strikes me as the one who would be a little fiestier if there was a clash.
Is Elisabeth really that new to CSI though? Jeanne Tripplehorn just showed up, Shue's been there since late last season... I dunno, I just like Adventures in Babysitting, and when on Community Abed & Jeff told Britta "You look like Elisabeth Shue"
ReplyDeleteHow has E-Shue been relegated to TV? That woman was awesome in everything she has done. If you haven't seen Hamlet 2, watch it this weekend. Too funny!
ReplyDeleteSecond FalseProfit's recommendation for "Hamlet 2"! Hilarious! My favorite Steve Coogan movie.
ReplyDeleteI think it's Tripplehorn. Shemar Moore posted a picture of them during rehearsals, and her body language is so tense http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mc5j90553H1qgbfyko1_1280.jpg
ReplyDelete@barton
ReplyDeleteoh my Lord. Shemar just oozes the sexy. Wait. That sounds gross
@reno
I loved that movie when I was a tween. We all felt so bad-ass quoting that line
I was thinking of that show that was renamed with the chick from the Battlestar Gallactica reboot...She took over for Kyra Sedgewick, The Closer...?
ReplyDeleteMary McDonnell on Major Crimes, although you could debate whether that counts as long running since it is new but based heavily on The Closer. Her cast mate? None other than Lt. Harris from Police Academy!!!!! Cranky!
ReplyDeleteTripplehorn on CM. No idea about the guy; Shemar Moore seems like a guy who likes to goof around a bit sometimes, show off the abs and shit, and she seems supertense and serious.
ReplyDeleteOr Matthew Gray Gubler, he is like a man-child. (not saying this to hate on them, I love them both haha)
I don't like Jeanne Tripplehorn's character AT ALL
ReplyDeleteHahaha - that's exactly what I thought too, Barton!
ReplyDeleteIsn't Jamie Lee Curtis new to one of the crime shows?
ReplyDelete@Lizzie: JLC did a five-ep arc on NCIS last season; though she played a shrink she didn't have to wheeze much jargon.
