National Enquirer Blind Item
WHICH talented Hollywood actor/writer/producer – he’s half of a popular award-winning duo – has checked himself into rehab? The gifted funnyman has been open about dabbling in drugs, but it was his relationship with a hard-partying stripper that helped him hit rock bottom real fast!
Penn Jillette?
ReplyDeleteYeah, Penn was my first thought as well.
ReplyDeleteTrey Parker of South Park/Book of Mormon fame?
ReplyDeleteThe stripper's name was Rock Bottom? He was hitting that?
ReplyDeleteMatt Stone seems more likely. Trey is married I believe.
ReplyDeleteI think Trey Parker lives with a stripper.
ReplyDelete"Rock" bottom = clue for Stone? I thought it was one of them too but couldn't find any references to either being in rehab.
ReplyDeleteParker & Stone are both married. If they weren't, I'd be stalking them in Colorado in my free time.
ReplyDeleteright Libby? Being funny is the sexiest thing, love those two.
DeleteTrey Parker was married but now Wiki has this very vague update.
ReplyDeleteIn 2006, Parker married Emma Sugiyama. That marriage ended, and Parker is now living with a woman and her son.
So maybe the 'woman' is a stripper?
Barton Fink made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteI just googled and Trey brought a date, his gf, to the premiere of Mormon.
ReplyDeleteWhich I know was last year, but he was no longer with his wife Emma.
DeleteLibby, you and I can tag team :) I've had the biggest crush on Trey Parker the days of Cannibal! the Musical.
ReplyDelete*since the days
ReplyDeleteUh oh, Blankverse. That would explain A LOT about the quality of this season's episodes so far. OH NO! Trey Parker is what makes it all happen, he's the chef of everything they do. So talented as a composer & lyricist too. That would be very bad news.
ReplyDeleteI was replying to the Wiki update, Blankverse.
ReplyDelete*opens switchblade* Since Matt Stone is the Liberal, I'ma takin' that one, ladies. STEP BACK!!!!1
and my final comment...his girlfriend's name is Boogie.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is...she was a...stripper.
DeleteUnfortunately I think we have a winner for this blind. :( I love Trey.
So, is this going to affect The Book of Mormon? I have tickets in February. :P
ReplyDeleteAmber, I think the show will be fine. Libby and I will just need to stage an intervention (along with Matt's help) to get Trey back on track. I'm sure Boogie can be put on the first train out-a-town :)
ReplyDeleteTHIS is what's up with SP this season. They're like 3 or 4 episodes in, and I can't remember a thing about any of them. Rambling, dull.
ReplyDeleteSending Holy Ghost power Trey Parker's way....
He's one of our best!
(I'm an agnostic, and I'm pretty sure Trey's atheist, but it can't hurt, right?)
Yep. All clues point (unfortunately) to Trey Parker.
ReplyDeleteHere is a post from The Dirty (yeah, yeah, I know...), but if you read the post and comments, it spells it all out:
http://thedirty.com/2009/07/south-park-creator-trey-parker-engaged-to-a-stripper/
Ooh my Barton - that was good:)
ReplyDeleteMat Damon/ Ben Afleck
ReplyDeleteYikes - I read those comments on the dirty link that Cousin posted.... "Better than Dynasty"!!
ReplyDeleteMARIONETTE SEX, y'all. Happy Thursday!
ReplyDelete@Cousin, thanks.
ReplyDeleteThat link says he's a cokehead and has never denied his drug use.
And hey, wow, if you click the "home" link, there's an article about Paul Nassif and what a hosebag he is, supposedly written by one of his house staff.
ReplyDeletePenn Jillette is really open about the fact that he's never even had a sip of alcohol (or drugs) so it ain't him. And although I love him, I'd be hard pressed to call him a "talented Hollywood actor".
ReplyDeleteYeah, Matt & Trey don't need to be present for the stage production to go forward. And, I can't wait to go in November!
ReplyDeleteI was here to say it, but instead will second @ sasha, it's not Penn.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Trey.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad he's trying to fix himself like @libby said, he really is responsible for the bulk of the show.
I highly recommend watching 6 Days to Air: The Making of South Park. What they accomplish on a short timeline is actually pretty amazing.
krk67,
ReplyDeleteAs a long time fan of M&T and South Park, Team America, etc., I'm insulted they don't spend more time per episode.
Every other comedy show on television has a brainstorming session at the beginning of the season's pre-production with their writers (and sometimes cast) to come up with story ideas. Then they split the ideas per writer or team to draft scripts. Then they meet again and go over the scripts with the rest of the writers to polish them up. Only then do they start production.
By rushing everything to the last minute, M&T pretty much show they really don't care that much about South Park anymore and are only doing what they need to do to cash an easily, reliable paycheck.
It's clear that some of the best episodes in recent memory (Imaginationland, The Coon Trilogy) were NOT rushed and were well-thought out stories fleshed out over a few weeks.
Contrast those with HUMANCENTiPAD (the episode featured in 6DtA), or some of the others in the past few seasons which, like the worst of SNL skits, were a one-joke idea stretched to episode length.
On "The Dirty" there's a pic that Boogie took of herself in a bathroom with a toilet in the backroom. Keep it classy, Boogie!
ReplyDeleteJust do be different; Matt Damon/Ben Affleck.
ReplyDeleteIf their spouses are secretly strippers xD
one of the wayans brothers
ReplyDeleteHow far gone must you be for "marrying a stripper named Boogie" not to trip every alarm bell in the firehouse?
ReplyDeleteLibby, my friend and I hope that there really is a Christian god so that we can party in Hell for all eternity with Matt and Trey.
ReplyDeletePenn Jillette has never done drugs or drank alcohol in his entire life. He has also been married for a number of years with two children. His partner, Teller, is also completely sober.
ReplyDeleteGranted, but is she a stripper? I hear it's a great workout for your thighs and abs. I mean, that sounds plausible!
DeleteI love Matt and Trey... I don't care that they rush some of the episodes because they have been doing this for over 14 years... Its a science to them...
