Last Dragon Star Dies
Leo O'Brien, a star of the cult classic "The Last Dragon," died in New York on Wednesday. Leo played Richie in the Berry Gordy produced movie. That movie was always on cable after it was released. Leo went through a lot of struggles as an adult and had serious substance abuse issues and was arrested multiple times. He was 41
Please fix the ad issues, this is getting close to intolerable. Thanks.
ReplyDelete@angus you're getting annoying. If you READ past your own comment (on any post ypuve posted the same complaint on) you will see very nice people with more patience than me TELLING YOU HOW TO BLOCK THE ADS
DeleteRIP! I love this movie and have fond memories of watching it every time it was on cable.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who doesn't have trouble viewing this site? Even on my work computer it is fine, AdBlock and google are your friends!
See the for a good time call post from yesterday where this was discussed ad nauseum (no pun intended)
ReplyDeleteLove this movie. So sad

ReplyDeleteOh, that's so sad. I just read an article about him and his passing that I will link here. Apparently he was shot last year in an altercation, and was told by the doctors he shouldn't have survived his injuries. That in addition to his addiction issues probably made him feel immortal.
ReplyDeleteRIP Leo. You sounded like a sweet soul with some powerful demons :(

Thank you katsm0711 :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Sunny! That was sweet! But seriously how do I not know this movie? I'm sure I've seen it bc my guy lives these kind of films....
ReplyDeleteI think the ads suck too. But I'm on usually on my phone and don't see them. However, I DO make horrible typos due to phone and tiny buttons.
I only read this site on my phone (at work no less). The few times I have checked it out at home have been horrible.
ReplyDeleteThat said -chill, Angus. There is no shortage of advice on how to get around the ads.
@Dia
ReplyDeleteI saw it in a theater around the same time as Breakin, Beat Street and Electric Boogaloo (I think I can still "rap" the Beat Street theme!) My best friend's older brother (who I was secretly in love with) used to let us tag along with him to the movies and we must've seen The Last Dragon a dozen times :)
My childhood. RIP
ReplyDeleteRIP.
ReplyDeleteSunny, did you ever get together with your bet friends brother?
@Feral
ReplyDeleteNo. I was a total tomboy, and a late bloomer. I didn't even kiss a guy until 9th grade (and this was around 5th grade?) :)
Oops. 7th or 8th grade. It was a private school that had grade school and middle schoolers :)
ReplyDeleteAaaargh! I'm sick of complaints about the ads. So many people have explained what to do. Read it on your phone or on a computer where you can use ad blocker.
ReplyDeleteI loved this movie too! CDAN readers are so cool ;)
ReplyDeleteNo problem with ads here! Firefox with AdBlock on my Mac works like a charm!
WHO'S the master?!
ReplyDeleteSho 'nuff!
Take your feetza to Daddy Green's Pizza:)
