Clueless Reunion
I had so many people send me e-mails yesterday asking me to post about the Clueless reunion so here you go. I have no problem with a Clueless reunion. I liked the movie a lot. I thought it was really cute and stars so many people who are still in the business that it is an exception for a teen movie. Have you noticed that the teen movies that you still talk about a decade or two after their release are the ones that generally starred people who are still working and are still popular. Ferris Bueller. Clueless. Pretty In Pink. Can't Hardly Wait. There are lots more, but take a look at some teen movie that did horribly and see how many of the teen actors are still around. Not the adult actors, but the teens. What was your favorite teen movie?
Goonies definitely :p
ReplyDeleteSixteen Candles is my favorite. However I do have a weird soft spot for Can't Hardly Wait. Although I don't usually admit that.
ReplyDeleteCan't Buy Me Love.. The African Ant Eeater Ritual!!!
ReplyDeleteI loved that movie!
DeleteThat is my all all all time favorite movie!
DeleteI saw the clueless reunion picture in entertainment weekly last night and I noticed they had someone holding a picture of Brittany Murphy. Still so sad.
ReplyDeleteI am a 90s child. So clueless was a good one. She's all that, was probably one of my more favorites (I have said that before). Never been kissed was good. And for classic teen movies I love love Ferris Bullers days off and also Better Off Dead (I watched that so much I broke the VHS)
ReplyDeleteI watched better off dead relentlessly as well! TWO DOLLARS!!!!!
DeleteWeird Science!
ReplyDeleteHeathers. Winona forever!
ReplyDeleteI was a 90's teen as well so for me the definitive one was 10 Things I Hate About You - oh Heath and JGL...
ReplyDeleteClueless would be up there as well though wasn't really a fan of She's All That.
The Breakfast Club
ReplyDeleteSome Kind of Wonderful
ReplyDeleteWar Games (if that counts)
Ferris Bueller
Loved Clueless, have shown it to my 8 year old daughter, who loves it too. Ironic that for such a girl's movie - the director was also female - the two big talents to come out of it were Donald Faison and Paul Rudd. The female actors have had noticeably minor careers, although Stacie Dash was and is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteStacey Dash seriously must have sold her soul to the devil so that she never ages...girl looks phenomenal for someone in her mid-40's, practically the same as she did 17 years ago!

ReplyDeleteI'm with Wee- 10 things is my fav. HL was my crush for awhile after that came out.
ReplyDeleteLet's not forget about Scream either.
Ahh bobbi I loved Scream too! The 90s were amazin'. Kids today don't know what they're missing with all these remakes.
ReplyDeleteseriously! the 90s >>>>> todays crap
DeleteBreakfast Club
ReplyDeleteI read the Entertainment Weekly article last night also. Especially enjoyed the St. Elsewhere reunion. That's the only medical show I've every really liked.
ReplyDeleteA lot of the reunions were awesome in EW
ReplyDeleteShe's All That
ReplyDelete10 Things I Hate About You
Save the Last Dance
I feel bad for leaving out 10 things I hate about you. I loved loved loved Heath. The paintball scene is one of my favorites in that movie.
ReplyDeleteAny Roll Bounce fans out there?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNS7YVeKm6g&feature
lets not forget Brittany Murphy was in Clueless(and it was her first big movie) and honestly was the best thing about it.
ReplyDelete"Rollin wit da Homies"...
RIP BM
Brittany Murphey, you are missed. I hope not sporadically.
ReplyDeleteMean Girls and Clueless. My love for Mean Girls is why I still have a soft spot for Lohan
ReplyDeleteMAN WHY YA'LL GOTTA WASTE MY FLAVA!? DAMN!
ReplyDeleteFavorite teen movie will always be Better Off Dead. It just hit me hard as a kid.
You owe me two dollars!!
Deletewho knew out of all the actors on Clueless Paul Rudd would emerge as the biggest star of them all.
ReplyDeleteI knew! LOVED him the minute I saw him. And I was in my twenties when it came out.
Delete90s kid as well...LOVED Clueless and 10 Things, those are my fave from our era! We really did have a TON of decent teen flicks, as did the 80s, so I feel pretty bad for today's teens as well...they have NO idea what they're missing.
ReplyDeleteClassic teen movies, I just can't get enough of Say Anything, but I've always had a crush on John Cusack. Pretty in Pink would be my second fave classic. JAKE RYAN!
I loved Teen Witch. TAKE THAT! Id watch that over & over.
ReplyDeleteAlso liked Heathers & Can't Buy Me Love.
Weird Science and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
ReplyDeleteFerris Bueller is my favorite movie of all time (not just teen movie). Clueles is also one of my favorites. My daughter and I watched it last weekend and she loved it.
ReplyDelete@chileroland, I love War Games too! Ally Sheedy was the best!
I think they all pretty much look the same, but yeah, Stacey Dash looks especially amazing.
ReplyDeleteI am a teen movie junkie! Clueless is probably my favorite teen movie, but I also LOVED Can't Hardly Wait, 10 Things I Hate About You and Never Been Kissed. I own the soundtracks to all these movies too.
Who's the woman behind the chick who played Amber (who looks pretty amazing too)?
ReplyDeleteAll things John Hughes.
ReplyDelete42 years old and still crush on Jake Ryan.
Ahhh...Ms. Geist.

Sixteen candles
ReplyDeleteSixteen Candles (Jack Ryan was so hot but Anthony Michael Hall imo STOLE that movie.)
ReplyDeleteHeathers
Clueless
Hello? Fast Times at Ridgemont High! That movie illustrated my life exactly when it came out. I was going to the mall, trying to score Van Halen tickets. I saw it in the theater when it premiered (yes, I’m OLD) and I was like: “How do they know? This if my life!”
ReplyDeleteI also loved Jawbreaker, it was deliciously over the top and gets NO air play on cable re-runs compared to Mean Girls which is on every freakin’ 5 minutes. “Liz Per is the cat’s meow”...
The Breakfast Club & Pretty in Pink.
ReplyDeleteFavorite teen movies were Ridgemont High, Ferris Bueller and Say Anything. Heathers was good too.
ReplyDeleteDazed and Confused
ReplyDeleteDoes Troop Beverly Hills count?
Clueless
It's Cookie Time!!!
DeleteNo word of a lie guys, but I've just started my teacher training and our mentor in our placement school is the complete double of Ms.Stoeger! She's a PE teacher too! Very distracting in meetings when all you can think of is Amber's line during the tennis lesson and trying not to laugh!
ReplyDeleteAnd Footloose. Can't beat the "Bacon Angry Dance"
ReplyDeleteLove all the ones mentioned already- But have to add Varsity Blues. And maybe American Pie.
ReplyDeleteClueless!! So sad for no Brittany Murphy :-( and Heathers. "Lick it up, Baby. Lick it up."
ReplyDeleteWell, I guess we know the picture of Dorian Gray is in possession of Stacey Dash. She is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI watched Uptown Girls the other night an started crying about Brittany Murphy. Possibly about other things too.
Clueless is just the best.
Better Off Dead (I want my Two Dollars!!)
ReplyDeleteFast Times
Clueless
Pop nursing, you took the words right out of my mouth! And yes CDANreader! Fast times came out when I was in middle school. It basically taught me how to be a teenager. The one that is most like our town and high school is Dazed and Confused, only if it was set in the 80s instead of the 70s.
ReplyDeleteBreakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Weird Science, Some Kind of Wonderful...John Hughes was da man.
ReplyDeleteAlso St. Elmo's Fire, The Sure Thing, and Dead Poet's Society. Ok, SEF & DPS might not be "technically" teen movies, but they were to me ;)
Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Lost Boys, and Pretty in Pink although most the teen movies ocurred in my late 20's so they seemed a little silly to me. Fast Times and American Grafitti is my teen movie era.
ReplyDeleteValley Girl
ReplyDeleteSay Anything
All 80's John Hughes except Pretty in Pink (James Spader was the only good thing in that movie)
Fast Times...
Clueless
Ten Things...
Superbad was pretty hilarious
I suppose "Animal House" doesn't really count as a teen movie ...
ReplyDelete"Clueless" really was cute though.
Girls just want to have fun! Sarah Jessica Parker, Hellen Hunt, Shannen Doerty!
ReplyDeleteStand By Me, Lost Boys, Goonies, Lucas, Pretty in Pink
ReplyDelete@Monica
ReplyDeleteSlow, slow. Quick quick slow
I love that one too!!! I thought Helen Hunt's character was the coolest girl EVAH!
Better Off Dead & Ferris Bueller's Day Off are my all-time favorite movies.
ReplyDelete"Sorry your mom blew up, Ricky."
This is pure snow! It's everywhere! Do you have any idea what the street value of this mountain is?
ReplyDeleteReally late, but Drop Dead Fred. Keeps popping in my head.

ReplyDeleteAlso a 90s/00s girl so will have to add Cruel Intentions. Very topical with reveal today! Ryan Phillipe is just gorgeous in that film!!!
