Blind Item #2
This actor has got to be approaching A list now. He is always on television and just seems to go from one hit to the next and just shows off some incredible acting talent with the way he can movie between different types of roles. His show right now? Huge hit. If you ask him though, the greatest thing that happened to him was when this B- list actress left the show he was on. They had fooled around a few times. Nothing serious, but our actor is married. So, it would have been awkward if he had been caught having sex with a co-star. She got incredibly clingy and wanted to know everyday when he was going to leave his wife and began calling and texting at all hours to try and get him caught. Then she got a big break and left the show. She never has said a peep since. Our actor has yet to stray again after that one.
Bryan Cranston? Can't think of costar though. Hope it's not him I freaking love him! I suck at these blinds
ReplyDeleteBryan is the first name to pop into my head, but I suck at these too! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's him either, but if it were, my guess for the costar would be Krysten Ritter - played Jesse's girlfriend on Breaking Bad until her character was killed off, now starring on Don't Trust the B Apartment 23.
ReplyDeleteBut I don't think it's him, or her.
I was thinking Giancarlo Esposito, since he's been on so many hits lately (Breaking Bad, Once Upon a Time, etc.) but he's divorced.
ReplyDeleteDammit Jason - I'm watching that show on Netflix and didn't know that yet :)
ReplyDeleteWhoops, sorry! Thought it had been enough seasons ago that it wouldn't be a spoiler anymore.
ReplyDeleteIf it is Bryan C, then who would b the co-star that left and made it big? The only girl that I can recall that left and is on another show was the girl who played Jesse's girlfriend...
ReplyDeleteSomewhat OT but that "Fly" episode set in the lab was one of my favorite episodes.
ReplyDeleteMorning all! I hate to write this but maybe Timothy Olyphant. He's currently on Justified been on quite a few hit shows...not sure who the costar could be. Or Martin Freeman currently on Sherlock as Watson, was on lots of BBC series. I know it doesn't state foreign born but..just throwing them out there.
ReplyDeleteI only doubt it being Bryan Cranston because that guy's gotta be A-list already, rather than approaching it. Three Best Actor Emmys in a row is surely worth more than a B+ and he's only really starred on two hit shows. Everything else he's done has been one-offs or cameos
ReplyDeleteNot Timothy Olyphant! I love him.
ReplyDeleteWho is on a huge hit show now who's been on hit shows in the past? There can't be too many who are that lucky!
ReplyDeleteTed Dansen and Marg Helgenberger. Unlikely, but it's a guess.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jason, Bryan is A-list. Other than that I've got nothing - don't really watch much TV.
ReplyDeleteIf Cranston then how about Hayden P.?
ReplyDeleteFirst thought was Bryan and Kristen. I hope not though.
ReplyDeleteThe blind says the actress left the show he "was on".
ReplyDeleteI've never watched Malcom in the Middle, but maybe someone on that show left? For a big break?
FYI Bryan was on Howard Stern last week and he did a great job rolling with the punches. A good sport.
First thought was Cranston/Ritter as well, but just to throw something else out there....the redhead guy on Homeland? I haven't seen the show, but he seems to be everywhere these days, plus he was on Band of Brothers.
ReplyDeleteOh good one! I like this one :)
DeleteGood guess Element....maybe it was the madame from Deadwood....she's on Treme now. Can't recall her name = too lazy to google.
ReplyDeleteEd O'Neil? Is he married? And the woman who played Peg on Married w/ Children? She's got a pretty good break when she got onto that most recent show she was on.
ReplyDelete@Danielle - Katey Sagal?? Not a "pretty good break" if you're referring to SoA. Her husband is the show runner & she's well regarded in the entertainment biz.
DeleteAS far as I know, Timothy Plyphant is a REALLY stand up guy. Of course, I don't have any personal verification of this. Just word of mouth. I'd hate for it to be him. He's dreamy to me.
ReplyDeleteI love olyphant too! Glad to hear he is a stand up guy :)
DeleteCount me in on the T Olyphant love. Justified!
Deleteha! Olyphant!
ReplyDeleteWhat about Tim Allen? Not super familiar with his work history, but he has been on two hit shows and in a bunch of movies.
ReplyDeletei don't believe it's olyphant. but he was also on 'deadwood' if you want another hit series, and he did one season of 'damages'. i just wouldn't say he's gone from one hit to another. he's been in a lot of movies too.
ReplyDeleteIf this were a couple years ago I would have said Dexter
ReplyDeleteDoes the first person who makes a guess here start up the bandwagon? Cranston is a rather random, unlikely guess, especially with Ritter.
ReplyDeleteHowever this blind seems to be about an often-used popular TV actor who isn't one to cheat and to be more the faithful type, except for this one incident, since he's never repeated? That should narrow it down to like one or two men in Hollywood, if we believe Enty and Casablanca.
Mark Harmon has been married a long time, haven't heard much gossip about him and he was on shows before NCIS, in movies, and played a creepy Ted Bundy, and he's been on my A-plus list since he was a quarterback at USC.
" Does the first person who makes a guess here start up the bandwagon?"
DeleteYes, for the most part. Sometimes it's really annoying, but I don't bitch because I never have a good guess for myself.
Rob Lowe
ReplyDeleteI have no clue who this is but I can see the Cranston/Ritter guess. I don't watch either of their shows, but I can see where it fits.
ReplyDeleteAdam Scott. Not sure about the costar though...
ReplyDeleteI think we need to broaden our horizons when we guess blinds, the same people have been floating around all the blinds for the past couple months and there is no way that Enty is using a small, select pool of celebrities for all of his blinds. There are so many people that fit to a T but that we don't even think of.
I second Rob Lowe, with Emily Thorne, eh, VanCamp.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Ed Helms and Mindy Kahling from the Office? Ed has been in a lot of movies/tv shows and Mindy just got her "big break".
ReplyDeleteGood guess, cdanluva, but I believe Ed Helms is guesting on Mindy's show. So if he was dying to get away from her, he wouldn't voluntarily do her show.
ReplyDeleteI agree that Cranston/Ritter sort of fit the clues. But did she leave the show because she got a big break? She was killed off years ago & her show just started last year. I dunno, maybe I just love Bryan so much I don't want it to be him.
I'm sorry @yawnathon.. all of that is supposed to mean what, exactly? She didn't get a good break with that huge show that she's on or you're being sarcastic and it's a great break which further proves my point. Not sure how her husband being the show runner OR that fact that she's highly regarded in the entertainment biz is supposed to prove that she's not part of this blind?
ReplyDelete@danielle, no it means your guess of katey segal is dumb. She was on that show for the entire run. being Peggy Bundy WAS her big break
DeleteWhat about McDreamy or McSteamy (don't remember the name of the actors) from Grey's Anatomy and Kate Walsh? She got that show, Private Practice...
ReplyDeleteAlthough... I don't know if any of them is approaching A list...
ReplyDeleteJust to be different:
ReplyDeleteSteve Buscemi/Paz Huerta
Boardwalk Empire
Steve is (IMHO) an excellent actor and highly underrated. He has worked his way up as a character actor and is now the leading man on Boardwalk.
Huerta is no longer on the show. Not sure if she would be considered B- in the acting world, though.
Michael C Hall and Julia Stiles?
ReplyDelete@White Lilly, the only way that the actress who left for her "big break" is Kate Walsh is if Enty is messing with the genders in this blind because KW is well known to be a lady lover.
ReplyDeleteScott Bakula or Ray Ronano? Men of a Certain Age. It s starting on pay TV here, but I don't know if it is a big hit.
ReplyDeleteShot in the dark
ReplyDeleteThomas Gibson (did comedy with Dharma and Greg, now drama with Criminal Minds)
Paget Brewster (Left CM to headline a new sit-com)
Here's a random guess - how about Daniel Dae Kim. Hawaii Five-0 seems to do very well in the ratings and he has loads of tv credits on his resume. Maybe Maggie Grace for the actress?
ReplyDelete@beguessin - and don't forget, Katey also voices Leela on Futurama! Yeah, she's been around WAY too long for anyone to think that Sons of Anarchy is any kind of a "break" for her.
ReplyDeletehahahaha - I just started watching Breaking bad too - aww, that's too bad, I liked his girlfriend :(
ReplyDeleteAdam Scott and Jane Lynch lol
ReplyDeleteAs Unknown alluded to, the only person that left Party Down was Jane Lynch, and that's obviously not an option. And no female lead has left Parks and Recreation. Now can we please stop guessing Adam Scott? Please?
ReplyDeleteI lurve Timothy Olyphant, too, but I've read that he is (or was) having an affair with the woman who plays his ex-wife Winona on Justified.
ReplyDeleteOlyphant/Zea don't fit. First, he's not TV only, he's been in a bunch of movies. And second, she's not off the show, she will be in several of the Season 4 episodes now in production.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I do know that the rumors of an affair between them were bogus. Someone has a grudge against Olyphant and his family. After the rumors of Timothy's affairs didn't stick, this person started posting crap about his brother Matthew.
