Ben Affleck Hits A Car - Leaves A Note

I guess Ben Affleck didn't want to stick around to meet the owner of the car he hit so he left a note and his phone number. Ben had just finished eating at McDonald's with his two girls when he sideswiped the car in front of a group of fans and paps. Uh oh. Yeah, the pressure and then the embarrassment. To hit a car like that in front of a crowd has to do wonders for your ego. Instead of sticking around, Ben just left a note. Nothing wrong with that because we all know Ben will actually do what he says and pay for everything. Now, if this had been Lindsay who left the scene, we know she would have left to hide drugs or the fact that she was drinking. Ben has some pretty good handwriting too. Love that he has no paper in his car like the rest of us and had to tear off a scrap. Probably dug around for a pen.

    1. No, you wouldn't. Ladies and gentlemen, please don't listen to this person. If you hit a parked car in CA, please do the right thing and leave a note. You will not go to jail for doing so.

  2. I would totally frame this

  5. What was he supposed to do, stand around and wait what could have been hours or days for that person?
    He did the right thing.

  6. No harm, no foul. He will pay. If he waited, the criwd wld hv gotten larger and larger, as word spread " affleck wrote a note! Affleck wrote a note!". He had his girls with him, so left note not to make a huge scene and perhaps upset them. They wanted their happy meals, lol. I think he did the right thing, and many of these "news" people shld really look at what they do for a living. Following a man to mcd's? Cmon!

  8. I'm in California and I've had to leave a note before in a parking lot. You can't wait hours hoping someone will come back.

I had just tapped their side mirror and I couldn't tell if it was scratched or just had some of my paint rubbed on. I didn't want to smudge their car. I left my phone number and insurance, and they called me later saying nothing was wrong but they appreciated very much that I had left a note.

  9. His contact info is probably on that business card or paper behind the note.

  10. I think he did the right thing! Sidenote: I don't see the #! Maybe its on the back?

I think like Rose said, on that card behind the note.
I wouldn't stick around waiting, and it doesn't seem like something you'd call the police for.

  12. Why couldn't my car have been lucky enough to be hit by Ben?

This reminds me of The Cosby Show when Theo and Denise were rear-ended by Stevie Wonder. When they told Dr. Huckstable, they high-fived each other because it was so cool.

  13. Goes in circles: makes sense! I should have read her comment before I posted ;-)

  14. He did the right thing. Glad to see there are some stand up people left in Hollywood. I'd like to think he would have done the same even if no one was around.

This is why being a celebrity sucks- a truly banal situation like this is subject to the opinions of the masses on every celebrity site out there. This, leave them alone. Bring on the sex and drugs scandals

  16. Cool! I wonder if he would have left the noye if no one had seen it? I like to think so. I want to think affleck is a great dad and good person.

  17. how do you sideswipe off a person's mirror? (and NOT be a 14 yr old who stole your parents car, or golf cart for chrissakes)

  18. I have done the same thing. See no problem with what he did. And I live in CA.so apparently I broke a law.

  19. He was in a no-win situation and he did the right thing.

And yes, he does have lovely handwriting.

  20. Well, he has nice penmanship.

  21. He absolutely did the right thing.

True story. Last year, someone had backed into the spot in front of mine in a mall parking lot, and cracked my bumper in three places (and popped part of the hood). I left a note with my number, and took pictures of that SUV sitting on my car, their license plate, and the fact they were over the line into my spot. They never called.

Here in Ontario, you must, by law, report to a Collision Center, which is a collaborative operation jointly run by two police forces and various insurance companies. They handed it off to the "Hit and Run Squad," (seriously), and they went after the woman whose car it was. Got a call from a detective telling me he was charging her with a highway infraction. When he asked why she didn't call me after reading the note, she told him she discussed it with her friends, and they decided it was a scam. My insurance company waived my deductible (due in no large part to the pictures I had taken), and they charged her. I sort of felt bad for her.

  22. It is only illegal and an offense if he hit the car then took off without leaving any contact information...that is referred to by law as a hit and run. Basic legal information that is most likely applicable no matter where you live. 'Enty' seems to be in a pissy mood today. Must be PMSing.

  23. I like his handwriting! I would frame this note too. If you are going to get your car hit, best by a celeb.

  24. I love how he signed the note "Ben", as if it's immediately obvious.

Ben... OMG, it must be THE Ben. BEN!

  25. How weird for the person whose car it is.

  26. I can't help it, I've always kind of liked him. One bad girlfriend choice shouldn't ruin a guy. (Also seriously bad movie choice, but I'm forgiving him that. JLo's ass was probably in his way when he was trying to read the script.)

  27. I'm sure he left his manager/lawyer/asistant's number.

  28. Am I the only one who finds the most scandalous thing about this story that Ben Affleck actually takes his kids to eat at McDonald's? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  29. @ Mr Wolf. What's wrong with signing it Ben? It is his name. I'm sure the contact info he left will have his full name.
