Andy Cohen set up his best friend perfectly yesterday on Anderson Cooper's show. Andy had asked Anderson about coming out and how the reaction had been and that allowed Anderson to take two minutes of shots against Star Jones. It was a glorious two minutes of it too. I do love how he invited Star to be on the show and she said no. Probably didn't want to be confronted in person about what she said.
Even though you know the whole conversation was a setup, I'm glad Anderson called out Star. Now, I wish that she would answer back and then this could go back and forth until one side is living with Nicki Minaj and the other with Mariah Carey. If you want to watch the clip, you can

ReplyDeleteStar said something to the effect of AC came out when he did to score ratings. AC said, if he wanted to do it for ratings he would have touted "a very special conversation with Anderson Cooper" and had a whole media blitz. He also twisted the knife and mentioned that his mom, Ms. Vanderbilt said, "Star who?".

ReplyDeleteI have had MANY MANY MAAAAAANY personal/professional run ins with crazy star jones. there are no words for what horrendous self centered egotistical creep she is. she lives behind her computer sending passive aggressive 12 page email rants, I still have one from her that is so bat shit crazy that I'm just waiting for her to get out if line again so I can release it publicly. It makes me look bad professionally but don't care. I love Anderson for sticking it to the fucking moose. I'm sure she's reading this. she google alerts herself. I won't be surprised when the star jones apologists start showing up.

I love Anderson Cooper - especially on CNN - he's a good newsman who seems to make a real effort to be impartial in his reporting. I think that's why I hate it when he gets on these celebrity stories - it seems beneath him (to me, anyway). I haven't seen his daytime show and I won't - I want to keep my good newsman impression.
