Tori Spelling Is Still In The Hospital

I joke quite often about Tori Spelling and definitely make fun of her acting, but she is still a very nice person and I can't recall where she has been mean to anyone. I feel bad for her that she is still in the hospital, nine days after being admitted after complications following the birth of her fourth child. Nine days is a long time to spend in the hospital. At that point I feel like one of those super bacteria have a chance to find you. This is why I never go to the hospital and never go see anyone in a hospital. Plus, if you have not noticed, the food in hospitals is not that great. I am sure when Tori gets out she will sell the story to a magazine so we will know all about it. Never let it be said that Tori cannot find a way to make a buck. She remade her career when she decided to have that garage sale. Then she got a reality show and then boom, back on top.

  2. Tori to me is a Gwyneth Paltrow. I love them both. They make me laugh with their ignorance...and they make the world so colorful.

  3. Nine days? These complications must have been a lot worse than they were letting on. She must be going crazy without her babies; she's always seemed to be a very hands-on mom.

  4. It was from her cesarean incision I read...4 cesareans is a lot I thought there was a limit to the number of these you can have..
Hope she's O.K, she seems like a strong person.

  5. Get better Tori. She always seems so nice. Really great mom, can't knock her for that. Shit, she has 4 kids to feed, make that money. What does her husband do again?
in this picture she looks like Crush from finding Nemo. You know, the sea turtle.

  7. I don't know how many siblings she has but since her father had more money than Oprah (OK, nobody has more money than Oprah, but Aaron Spelling had as much as anybody in west Los Angeles County) and died a few years back, why would she need to work except for the added attention it brings her? She doesn't need money.

    1. Her father, inexplicably, left her $800,000. That was it. Now its alot, but he worth zillions. Her bro git same deal. Now the mother cld hv split her bazillions but she dud not. Not one red cent. Part of falling out, plus mothers a cold bitch. The bti kind of kissed up to mother for the dough. Tori was all ill make my own money, hence all the shows. Godd for her.

    2. One of my cousins (who is a very nice guy) worked for Tori's parents. They were not nice people and their moral compass was way off.

  9. I always wonder how many celebs get postpartum depression but doesn't this sound like an infection? Don't C Sections have a higher risk of infection?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Absolutely. A c section is considered more dangerous to the health of the mother, in terms of infection and bleeding, than even someone having twins vaginally.

  10. @Lazy, didn't she get cut off from the money?

    ReplyDelete
  11. If I remember correctly, Aaron Spelling was very upset by the way Tori's first marriage ended and he either disinherited her or she refused to take any money from the estate. Not sure of the exact particulars, but I know there was a falling out with both parents that resulted in her not getting $$$. Oh, and she has one younger brother.

  12. Her mom cut her off I believe because she couldn't control her...

  13. Wow. I wonder if her mom needs a personal assistant? How is her health looking (evil rubbing of hands together as an idea forms)?

This can't be fun. I spent 8 days in the hospital and thought I would go insane, especially since I was on constant monitors and never got to shower in all that time. My hair...I certainly didn't need any product in it.

Enty, if you ever have to be in a hospital, go to Baptist in Jacksonville Beach, FL - bacon every morning!

  15. I've had two c sections in a year and a halfs time and after my second my immune system went way downhill. I landed back in the hospital a month later with a bladder infection turned kidney infection, turned kidney stones (worse then labor!) and picked up some lovely little virus called C. difficile while I was there that was HORRIBLE!! I feel for tori.

  16. I don't know if there's a limit to the number of c-sections these days, but I do know that it's a good idea to wait a while in between. Isn't her third kid still a baby? She must have a nasty infection or getting some awesome plastic surgery?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Too soon for any cosmetic work...you need to wait at least 6 months...
    I hate hospitals..

  18. whatever happened to natural birth? these Hollywood women are so out of touch, babies are a toy to them

    1. Some women cannot have them "naturally" Trust me it doesn't do any favours for your body having a section vs. vaginally.

hospitals can be amazing places. little miracles happen there every day. GO USA MEDICAL WORKERS.

i hope tori spelling is recovering and DOESNT HAVE ANY MORE KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  21. I believe she was only given 800k by her father.

    ReplyDelete
  22. My understanding of her money situation was that her mother inherited the whole estate, and controls all the dough til she dies. I'm sure Candy loves that, but it's JMO.
I thought that was the reason she started reconciling with her mom in the first place.

  23. @Cam - oh boy, what a horrible story - I hope you and your young'uns are happy and healthy now.

My FIL is approaching a year in the hospital - several different facilities, late-stage COPD, on a ventilator - and he has been contending with c. difficile nearly the entire time. Not something I'd wish on anyone :-(.

Anywhoo, gèt well soon, Tori. Those babies need their mamma!

Not everyone chooses to have a c section. and although you can deliver naturally after having a c section that is not always the case.
    No judgy.

    1. Yes. This exactly. I ended up having an emergency c section with my first child after 24 hours if labor when her heart rate suddenly started dropping. On my doctors' advice, tried for a VBAC (vaginal birth after c section) with my second almost 3 years later, only to have the same f-ing thing happen.
I hate self-righteous people who shit all over anyone who's had sections. Would you f-ing rather my child and I had both died, instead? Time to mind your own business, in my opinion.

  26. I hate her husband but I hope she gets better soon, if for no other reason than her 4 kids who need her at home. We lost a very dear friend last year to a rare blood disease he picked up while visiting his 92 year old mother on her deathbed in the hospital. Scary stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Poor thing! I hope she gets better ASAP. No matter what you think of her, it's apparent she loves being a mother and her kids (I like her).

My guess is that it has to do with either an infection (incision site, uterus, bladder, kidney, MRSA etc) or bleeding (2 c-sections back to back like that weakens the uterus a lot). I had an emergency c-section and ended up with a kidney infection really easily. They wanted to hospitalize me, but as I have a history of them and knew the signs of it getting worse, I convinced the ER Dr to discharge me with the biggest antibiotics she could give me instead.

After my c-section my OB-GYN has told me a couple things (not sure if it's the same everywhere).

    1) Getting pregnant within 18 months will most likely result in another c-section as it takes a long time for the uterus to heal.

    2) She only feels comfortable delivering 3 children via c-section (even with the 18 month spacing). After that, the stress on the uterus (since from what I understand, when they make the 2nd & 3rd incisions, they have to literally cut off the scar tissue and make a "new" incision each time).

    ReplyDelete
  28. Bah, blogger ate the rest of my comment (that's what I get for being long winded I guess).

That should read "After that, the stress on the uterus... is too great and it can get very dangerous for both mother and baby".

  29. MISCH, don't the famous folk get tummy tucks thrown in with c-sections?

  30. Aaron Spelling was out of his head by the time he died. He wanted to make sure she was cared for. He thought $900,000 was enough for the rest of her life (he must of thought it was 1950)and Candy didn't exactly steer him in the right direction either leaving the kids a small lump sum compared to his net worth.

I honestly thought she was a trust fund baby and would never want for money ever until she talked about her father's death. She did have easy breaks in life with a role she never deserved on 90210 but hey, whatever gets you a gig.

She and her husband hustled and made a life for themselves reinventing themselves and careers. It isn't easy and they make it work, so tip of the hat to them, hope she heals soon.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I hope she is better and home soon with her kids who need her. On the other hand, if I were her I'd be sending that douchebag husband of mine straight to a Dr. to get a vasectomy when I got home.

  32. Sounds awful! She may not be most talented, but shes a hard worker, snd very spproachable. Good health wishes on the way to u, tori!!!!!

  33. I hope she's okay too.

When I had my bug 19 months ago, the one thing I didn't want was a c-section. Prior to pregnancy, I was an avid hula hooper so my ab muscles were very strong. I did my kegels, I took pre-natal yoga, and tried to do EVERYTHING possible to avoid the dreaded 'surgery'. However, after 31 hours of labor, and pushing like a champ for hours(even my nurse was bewildered by my smiling in between pushes, it was determined that my son's shoulders were too large to pass through my birth canal. I mean, they could see his hair color! Alas, I had to have the c-section. It sucked because up until that point, I had never had any surgeries before. It was very defeating.

I'm just grateful that he is super-healthy and I recovered rather quickly thanks to my pre-baby fitness level.

  34. "I can't recall where she was mean to anyone"? Um, how about Dean's first wife? You know, the one Dean left for Tori, and whom Tori went on to make fun of on national television? Just sayin'.

As for the inheritance situation, I heard her parents were really angry that her first marriage didn't work out, because they spent a shitload of money on her wedding. Rumor has it Tori didn't want to marry the guy and was crying right before she walked down the aisle, but her mother told her "I paid a million dollars for this wedding and you are going to go through with it!", so Tori did. Don't know if this is true, but she never did look happy with the first hubby. I'm guessing this contributed to the strain between Tori and her parents, big-time.

  35. I wouldn't say she's "back on top". Personally, I find people like her and Carnie Wilson to be pathetic. I mean, really, how many reality shows are you gonna do to try and stay relevant? Enough, already.

    ReplyDelete
  36. PS, I just realized how ego-centric my post was...apologies!

I think there are many people who don't truly realize that c-sections are major surgeries because it's usually a joyous outcome. I know I didn't realize at first how major of a surgery it is/was until the weeks upon weeks of recovery.

    (dang there I go again...mememe):-/

  37. Tori's 3 rd Baby was born in Oct 2011 so this is her second bith/ c-section in less than 12 months. Yikes! that a lot to go through.

  38. I had a c-section, not by choice. Trust me, it's not a picnic.

  39. Don't like tori, never have never will

  40. I think I used to think of a C-section as easy, you schedule the date weeks in advance choosing your baby's birthday when it's convenient for you. Then my sister had an emergency c-section which was SCARY and then she couldnt pick up (or hold at all? I can't remember) the beautiful baby for at least a week. I only would want a c section for selfish reasons. Not stretching my hoohah out #1, then just choosing when it's convenient. I DON'T like the risk of infection, scars, cutting into my body for any reason unless my life depends on it, not picking up the baby I'm seeing for the first time is just heartbreaking.

  41. good to hear that she is a nice person. just looking at her i'd think she's bitchy. (plus her pedigree)
good luck to her. and i agree about the superbug thing. my grams just told me about this guy who was in a freak accident. he lost his leg- from something he caught , while at the hospital.
    godspeed.

  42. She was mean and horrible to her husband's ex-wife. She deliberately stole him away when he was married with very young kids. Then she laughed about it in TV interviews. I will never forget that. Awful!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I wonder if her incision split open? Whatever it is it must be serious for them to keep her in that long...

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yes, Tori behaved very badly towards Dean's first wife. Worst part is that the baby adoption came through a few weeks before Dean left his wife for Tori. Dean does not acknowledge that child - only his first borne with his first wife.

Both are trolls who deserve one another. Tori used her fame to further humiliate the first wife. There's no excuse for that... jeepers, you already took her husband...

I have zero sympathy for Tori. She and her husband are money-grubbing pigs.

  45. California is a community property state so Aaron leaving most of his estate to Candy is standard operating procedure to avoid paying inheritance taxes twice (spouse gets half automatically other half passes tax free). And you don't have to liquidate for cash to pay the taxes. Also given that Candy was considerable younger than Aaron she can be putting money tax free in trusts for her children and grandchildren until her death to reduce the tax burder. My guess is she's tied the money up tighter than a witches tit to keep Dean from getting any of it.

My personal opinion of her is she's a c#$^ given how she and Dean treated Mary Jo and his children (and as someone else pointed out he refused to finalize the adoption of the little girl they received a month or so before he took up with Tori).

    ReplyDelete
  46. I like her too but...
    That's karma for ya!

    Don't steal someone's husband.

I do hope she feels better though.. She's probably going to have to get a hysterectomy.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I had a version with my third to avoid a C section. Hurt like hell, but she didn't flip around again. That said, I knew going in to have the version that there was a chance that I could have had an emergency C. I was lucky that it went smoothly (as could be with something like that), but if it came down to having one - do it.

  48. I had a foot of my colon out 10+ years ago, and I was only in the hospital for 5.5 days, so she's definitely been in a bad way. It could be any number of things--infection, kidney stones, emergency hysterectomy--whatever it is, though, I hope she's better soon, as, no matter what one might think of her personally, she does have 4 small children who need their mom. And yes, if she hasn't had her tubes tied, that really ought to be the next thing on her agenda; it's just not safe for her to be pregnant again.

I have several friends who've all ended up needing c-sections after spending hours/days trying to deliver vaginally; in all cases, it was a matter of the baby's head being too big to pass through the pelvis. (As one friend put it, "That's what happens when you breed with big-headed men!") These weren't tiny, fragile-looking women, either; you would never have thought that they'd have the problems they did. Fortunately, all the mothers and babies came through it fine in the end (although one little guy actually had a ridge on his forehead for a few days from being jammed against his mom's pelvic bone), and that's the only thing that matters.

  50. there at least 2 people in her past that would put her in the "mean" pile (1st husband & dean's last wife).

i saw a tv show on the "selling of spelling manor". candy, tori's mom, was giving a tour of the house and shedding actual tears about moving out, "its the end of an era!". yes, go tell the homeless how you, a woman who live ALONE, are mourning the selling of your obscenely big home. that tori turned out as "nice" as she did is very unexpected.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I don't hate Tori, but she is no saint. She did not even have the courtesy to tell her first husband she wanted a divorce---she let her therapist do it! As has been previously posted, she does not acknowledge her husband's previous children either.

As for her c-sections, I wonder if she had an emergency hysterectomy? hysterectomies are common with that many c-sections. I think the max in c-sections is four.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Ari, do us all a favor and google death rates for birthing women just a couple of hundred years ago. There's nothing "natural" about natural childbirth in humans. It's the price we pay for large human brain and thus intelligence. Same intelligence that eventually led to the greatly reduced childbirth mortality.

  53. she's become just like a baby making machine. 4 kids?! do you really need that many? no wonder she has that double chin. i hope she recovers quickly!!! her other 3 kids must miss her.
