I have to get into GoT. I've bought the books, but haven't read them. I haven't seen any of the show.
ReplyDeleteRead the books before you watch. I watched the show first (just season one) and it took me a few weeks to read the book but I read the other four books within days.

ReplyDeleteThose shoes Goodwin is wearing are heinous, and the dress is not flattering. And I really, really wish she would grow out her hair. While she is not fat at all, she has a very round face, and IMO the pixie cut emphasizes that. Also, why doesn't she EVER smile? She has raging bitchface in 99% of the photos I see of her.

I seriously love the GoT character Petyr Baelish. Love him on the show, love him in the books. Such a conniving, manipulative, duplicitous dude. Gotta respect that in a fictional character (not so much in a real one - ha!).

DeleteI would LOVE to get to go behind the scenes of GoT. I'd stalk Mr. Dinklage and probably go say something not very nice to the actor who portrays Joffrey. That guy does a great job, making him so unlikable! :) Read and watch, Layna Day! It's sooooo worth it!

@sakura I can't believe you love Baelish- did you watch the Wire? Every time he opens his mouth I'm expecting him to be talking about Baltimore mayoral politics not lords or ladies... I feel like he is SOOOO out of place on GoT because I will always think of him as his character on the Wire. And boy do I hate him after last season (I have only seen show not read books).

And no GoT and True Blood are nothing alike, at all, but I would advise anyone who likes good tv to watch GoT, it truly amazing and addictive, I would have never thought I would like a fantasy show but I love it.

Also, the kid who plays Joffrey is supposedly a REALLY sweet guy, and get this, he is seriously considering not acting after he finishes university and going into the church! Can you believe it? Talk about playing against type! My hand just itches to slap the shit out of him every time he's onscreen!

ReplyDeleteIf you have ATT-Uverse, sign up for HBO. You get the first 3 months for free, then they bill you. My current subscription expires on 10/31. I'll cancel it and wait for the TrueBlood to come back and sign back up....unless I need to see GoT before then. With HBOGO and On Demand, I catch right back up with everything.

ReplyDelete90210 is one of my guilty pleasures, that picture is deliciously hideous. I had the same outfit as Jessica Alba in 1989!! Ginnifer looks fug as hell in that getup and hair, also she's kind of jowly when she doesn't smile, which as everyone has mentioned is ALL the time. Dinklage is totally hot.

ReplyDeleteThat is crazy about Joffrey! I just looked him up on IMDB to see what else he has been in, in 2007, he was in a movie called Shrooms, as the movie poster says, 'Blair Witch on acid'! Lol he's young and hasn't been in a ton of stuff, but he plays Joffrey *perfectly*! I applauded when he got hit in the face with the cow pie. I'm glad to know he's a good kid in real life.

Demi USE to have one of the best bodies but not she looks like a frail old lady. The problem isn't her age, she need to add some weight and embrace her sexuality.
