Random Photos Part Three

Two days in a row, Pink has had my favorite photo. This time it gets the top spot.

Cat Deeley has a leather bed. Interesting.
Coco heads out before heading to Vegas soon for rehearsals.
Christy Turlington and the always lovely Aishwarya Rai
Shaquille O'Neal and Debra Messing were at the same event. Random.
Michael Douglas takes Catherine Zeta Jones out for their mutual birthdays.
Denise Richards has a slide in her pool. I want to go. I tend to get stuck on water slides, but would still give it a try.
Elizabeth Banks looking very un Elizabeth Banks like.
Heidi Klum tries to win the PR battle by Tweeting old modeling photos of herself.

Unpopular opinion: I don't get Pink. Is she talented? Yes. Does she have some good songs? Yes. But why so many find her to be an inspiration as the ultimate IDGAF woman, I don't know. I just don't see her that way.

    1. I used to feel the same way. But now compared to the other chicks like phony baloney jolie or self destructive rihanna. She kind of seems like a more grounded real person. Maybe that's just me. Those pics with her family are cool. But I know exactly what you mean! I used to wonder what's the big deal about her.

    1. I thought the same thing when I saw her stupid post it promotion pics. Something is up with her face. Botox? More? I always think of her as coke mom too haha

  3. I love Pink and the family!

I like Cat and her dog.

Coco will do great in Vegas, remember pasties.

Is CZJ the mom who doesn't want to go back?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Cat Deeley must not fuck much on that bed because doesn't sweat ruin leather?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Christy Turlington will always be my favorite model. If I could look like anyone, it would be her.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I love the Pink, I think she is talented and comes across as very down to earth, can't help but root for her. Also seems to be a very involved mom, that makes me like her too.

    ReplyDelete
  7. wow CZJ you can only lie about being 10 years younger and then it catches up with you, hard.

I read it is better to lie about being older and then people are so impressed with how good you look for your age.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thinking the same thing, CZJ looks much older, and gaunt too. Is she sick? She looks as though she's suddenly dropped a lot of weight. Her face looks unhealthy, not just older.

  8. Does CZJ -- who might be the mom who doesn't want to come back -- look...odd here? Or is it just me?

DM looks the same here to me as she always did?

I'm not a Pink fan, either, but her baby is a cutie and it's nice that she's trying to have a family that's as normal as possible.

    ReplyDelete
  9. That is a LOT of beauty in the pic of Christie and Aish. Two of my faves.

    ReplyDelete
  10. CZJ looks very thin.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Heidi looks stupid in those photos.

    ReplyDelete
  12. OMG - Dear Michael Douglas, please buy your wife a milkshake. She is too thin. She looks sooo much better with a little more meat on her.

    ReplyDelete
  13. CZJ not looking as glamorous as usual.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I don't listen to Pink's music, but like her and impressed with how she manages to keep it sane.

CZJ - OMG girl, what happened?

Ok, I'm just going to say it, Who is Cat Deeley and why do I care what kind of bed she has?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Elizabeth Bank's shoes are making her legs look deformed somehow.
CZJ looks bad in the face. Too much surgery.
Debra Messing looks either pulled too tight or gacked up. Or both.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Oh, and I adore Pink too. I used to not be able to stand her. She has so grown on me in the last few years by her actions and words. Love her.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Thanks Enty, love the Pink family pic.

I think Debra Messing looks the same too. Didn't we I.D. somebody else for Coke Mama?

I heard CZJ's b'day mentioned on the radio and I think I've now passed her in age. How did that happen?

Elizabeth Banks? That's what we call a hoochie mama outfit and my gang saves that shit for wild nights in Vegas.

Cat Deeley seems so caring and down to earth on SYTYCD.

  18. I really love the story of Pink and Corey. For all those who don't understand, google it. She is the most unfake, happy, caring, fun celeb. We all see Rihanna, Katy Perry and Lindsay. Pink is a cut above the rest of all the crap. If you read some things, teach yourself about other people. Maybe you would have just a teaspoon of respect for her and her amazing husband.
    Their little girl is precious.

I really still like Heidi and you can tell these pictures are from 7+ years ago. She is really a beautiful woman.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Pink is awesome. I don't own any of her music, but enjoy it when I come across it in a club, or on radio.

I like her because she was originally being marketed as a Britney or Christina, and she fought against it and almost torpedoed her career because the big boys weren't keen on working with her when she rejected their strategy.

I remember when she was playing clubs for $5k a show and her career was in such flux then regarding her persona, a promoter friend didn't take a chance on her because the tour was three months out, and in three months, she could have been a dead horse.

Besides, she used to have pet rats, and refused to leave them at home. They went on tour with her. How can you not love a dedicated and responsible pet owner?

    ReplyDelete
  20. LMAO at the Denise pictures! haha she just calls up the magazines and invites them over while making ridiclous poses lol

    ReplyDelete
  21. That pic of Catherine and Michael makes me sad. They both look awful but not in a way that makes me gossip-snarky. I know that cancer will give anyone the beat down so I can see why he looks like he's still recovering. But is it me or does she somehow look like she's not all there anymore? Is she okay? She looks... mentally ill.

    ReplyDelete
  22. CZJ is starting to look her actual age.

Did Aishwarya tweak her face a bit? I know she gained weight after her pregnancy, but she looks a bit, um, different.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Cat Deeley has grown on me. I havent ever watched SYTYCD but I like her better than Guliana on Fashion Police.

    ReplyDelete
  24. YES, thank you, I said the same thing about Debra Messing's face after seeing her on Project Runway last week and my friend totally disagreed. I think she definitely had some pulling and plumping.

There's nothing to be taught. I'm not suggesting that Pink is some gosh-awful person. Even if she were, I wouldn't really know. I just don't get her. It has nothing to do with disrespect. She's just one of those celebs that I don't see the appeal. But if her fans like her, that's all that counts.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I loooove these beach picks of Pink! Everything about her looks real from her body to her body language. Even if they r staged, they don't look staged. She's just such a cool
    Chick!

And thank u god for posting Aishwarya Rai, my fav most beautiful celeb in the world! She's the female Kaka, when she smiles babies around the world giggle simultaneously.

  27. CZJ is bipolar, maybe her meds aren't working as well? She is too skinny.

  28. CZJ and hubby need to STOP with the surgery....

  29. the pink/family beach pic is so sweet!

i know that see-thru top is about as demure an outfit as we'll ever see from coco...so props to her for looking lovely when she's not playing the skanky card at full throttle.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Timebob,Rambos, CZJ is not bi-polar. That is just another PR BS story. She went to Silver Hill for 5 days to get sober enough for her next film role. I'd drink too if I was married to her wonderful husband 25 years older. She appears to swing her weight between bouts of eating disorder issues as well. Silver Hill is well known as a ritzy place for rich drunks to dry out, no one with a bi-polar disorder drops by for 5 days & walks out all fixed up. "The paper said a representative for the actress confirmed that she checked into Silver Hill for a five-day course of treatment." What happened was she was drinking so heavily, her reps sent her quietly to Silver Hill because you can't work if you are too drunk to stand. There were pap photos floating around at the time, woman was drinking a lot. In public. Somehow her 5 day dry out got leaked, so Kneepads ran the touching story of her secret struggle with bi polar illness as that is playing a sympathy card-she is so brave she wants others to follow her example, admitting they need a 5 day tour of Silver Hill for treatment of a tragic mental illness. As if. http://newcanaan.dailyvoice.com/news/catherine-zeta-jones-treated-silver-hill Gee, where is Himmm when you need someone to pitch in on this topic? Cuz he knows what I am saying.

  31. Is that Corey Hart with Pink? Doesn't look like him at all.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I like the dresser in Cat's room, Pier 1 has a line that's very similar. Cute doggie too!

Christy Turlington, more beautiful than ever. I miss the days of her, Helena, Naomi, Claudia, Cindy & Linda, the true supermodels! @Paris, I want to look like Helena. *sigh*

Love Pink's family, they seem so, dare I say, normal!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Aren't Debra Messing and Shaq both recently-ish single? I wouldn't blame either of them a bit for having a little rebound nookie.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Love the Pink picture

Didn't know that CZJ had a drinking problem...they fooled me with the whole bipolar business! But she's looking really thin here, hope all is well.

    Go Coco!!!

I just saw Christy Turlington in a documentary about Latino celebrities and loved her stories.

Can't talk bad about Denise anymore, she took in Charlie's other kids while raising her three, not going to hold it against her if she's inviting paps to take her pics for extra cash.

Debra Messing has a wonky eye, she Definetely looks like she had some work done

    ReplyDelete
  35. @M I never called her bi-polar. I think she just lies about her age and claims to be 10 years younger than she really is.

There was a BI about a star couple going to the White House and when they were vetted it came out she lied about her age and her husband was pissed about it. Common guess is CZJ.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Interesting stuff, M.

    ReplyDelete
  37. CZJ - can understand the drink prob if rumours of the marriage contract are true on top of everything else. Never liked her much but am beginning to feel a bit bad for her!

    ReplyDelete
  38. timebob, I've read about that, too. The age story/White House blind, but facts don't bear it out. CZJ, or Cathy Jones as she was formerly known was a standout local in a very small town in Wales, there are videos on the net of her singing & dancing her little heart out there.
She wasn't 24 pretending to be 14 when Micky Dolenz cast her in Bugsy Malone. She was really 14. Her very small town peeps still love her & they know when she was born, cuz they grew up with her. The PR lie about why she was at Silver Hill is something else altogether. Dealing with hubby & his family issues have taken a harsh toll on her, but it is not fair to those who really suffer from bi-polar mental illness to suggest that it is something that can be fixed in 5 days at the Ritz of Rich Drunks, Silver Hill. BTW, I am not saying it was her idea to explain away her visit with that story. The PR reps & lawyers come up with that stuff. Her stated age is not a lie uncovered by the WH. That is a strange piece of gossip similar to the Richard Gere gerbil story. Will suggest jealousy was motive in both widely circulated rumors.

  39. Wasn't there a story about Denzel (possibly on coke) trying to get on Shaq's yacht? Might make sense of Debra Messing is coke mom? Just a thought..

    ReplyDelete
  40. That IS a lovely picture of Pink and her family. I am not a fan of her music, but she seems like a really normal person, and I do think she is a very talented performer.

    ReplyDelete
  41. @M

I'm not saying this in a snarky/stalkery way, but are you the former prosecutor who had to deal with a lot of tough cases regarding children? I like trying to keep my facts straight with commenters whenever possible

    @curlyhairslacker
Hey lady!! I loved those supermodel days as well. I cut my hair short once to try to emulate Linda Evangelista, and I think I had a little extra sexy in my step (Because I look exactly like her. ha ha)

  42. Sometimes this works. . .

Does anyone know where to get an indoor tree like the one in Kat's bedroom? I love it, especially with the moss rocks at the base

Once again I am the loner coming to Heidi's defense. (This broad should really pay me at this point). She looks adorable! And according to readers, I'm kayaking up an Egyptian river (denial) because I still don't believe the Lainey blinds about her

    :) :) :)

  43. Sunny, fake or real?

Michaels, JoAnn's, Hobby Lobby all have fake ficus trees in all price ranges. I think World Market might too (but more expensive).

Real ones in that size would probably be hard to find outside of a good nursery. You can get smaller ones a lot of times at all sorts of places like Walmart and Home Depot (who might have some larger ones).

Honestly, in my experience (and I think I have a light green thumb), real ficus are really sensitive and drop leaves if they aren't taken care of pretty spot on.

    Hope that helps.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Overstock.com has some really nice trees here:

    http://www.overstock.com/search?keywords=trees&taxonomy=sub978&searchtype=Header

Their shipping is $2.95 on anything.

    ReplyDelete
  45. And because I can't get everything in one post...

If you get silk, it's much cheaper to "replant" it in a pot o your choosing and then "underplant" it with moss (or other plants) from Michaels or wherever.

That also holds true for real plants. Nurseries charge a fortune for a nice pot you can get at half the price elsewhere (but I'm cheap like that).

  46. Lola
Thank you so much!!!! First of all (to answer your question), FAKE!! I can't keep anything alive, much to the chagrin of the dozen or so orchids I've tried to bring into my home.
I actually have trees from Overstock, and I love them. I think you brought up a great point though - sometimes you have to "re-plant" them into a larger container and add your own touch.
    I really appreciate it - you're lovely

  47. I love Pink! I think my daughter Isla is about the same age as her daughter. There was an article about Pink in Entertainment Weekly a few weeks ago ... she said she saves over half of the money she makes & that she lives extremely modestly. Big huge props to her for doing that.

  48. Sunny, yes, I am former prosecutor with photographic memory who can't sleep without way too much medication because I am haunted by cases where I failed the little ones & they are dead, or almost dead, or as good as dead. I actually utilize this site to take my mind off all of the things I want to forget. Why pretending to be bi-polar is annoying because some of the kiddies & parents were bi-polar & 5 days of in hospital treatment doesn't fix that kind of issue. Also host of widely not seen Prestige Cable TV "State's Attorney's Report", produced & directed by Thomas Roberts, now world's most famous openly gay news anchor (even better looking in person), radio show of same title along with newspaper column.
Appeared in widely not seen Barry Levinson film, also guilty of having done some commercial work, as in tv commercials. Seen too much, been too many places, & have sick crazy stalker problems. Lilo smoking with asthma is nothing compared to stuff I saw, people smoking out of trach holes. Yes, I am the one who admitted we would play game to lighten the mood, who has the case with highest BAC? Am also person who was One of Maryland 10 Outstanding Young Marylanders where I got to know the answer to question is Oprah (sitting next to me all week)gay? No, she is not. I also haunt internet looking for my fav offenders so when they pop up, I let local police know they may have moved, but I never forget. Here is an example: http://articles.baltimoresun.com/1996-07-17/news/1996199133_1_mount-airy-girl-false-imprisonment Imagine my shock when I spy this:http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/golf-pro-arrested-on-child-sex-charges/nJW2L/ Get to FBI fast to let them know how this man is allowed to be still at it, other articles saying he is being framed blah, blah, I direct them to his prior case because there was no Sex Offender Registry back then & also because it wasn't technically a sex offense but am sure his intentions were strictly evil. Intended victim in Mt. Airy matter was the smartest, most brave quick thinker as well as smooth mover, that young teen was my hero. Told her so. Unbelievable the way she fought back. Grabbed from behind, little bitty slip of girl, just about knocked a 6 foot 7 inch kidnapper out after he stuffed a sock in her mouth & was trying to tie her hands behind her back with the other sock, she pumped herself up with sheer will power- pushed back with her elbows so hard he went "oof", & then she swung around & kicked him right in the balls & took off screaming like a banshee for help. I didn't save her, she saved herself. Real life Buffy warrior. Real heroes are out there, young teen avenger from Mt. Airy, I will always salute your style.

  50. Wow M! That's a lot to handle! My first job after college was Juvenile Probation Officer for Baltimore City. I think that was the hardest job I've ever had. I didn't last too long (because I was just too young) but can only imagine all things you had to see over the course of your career. Glad you could make a difference and yes I'm sure you did! If only we coukd save everyone. I switched to healthcare. Don't know if that's much better :/

Thanks for sharing though! Fellow Marylander!!! ;)

Wow. I'm sorry you are carrying the burden of all the horrific things you saw. Seriously, I don't know how you did it at all. Like any person with emotions, I am wrecked any time I see children being abused. It's gotten to the point I have to look away from news stories because I will just burst into tears otherwise. I am a very kind and non-confrontational person, but I know for a fact I could go medieval on any of these assholes, given the chance

You are a hero. Thank you

  52. Glad to help.

(I can grow most things, including most orchids [I stay away from the fancy/delicate ones] but ficus trees and parlor palms-- which are supposed to be super easy to grow, elude me)

  53. Anonymous7:27 PM

Sunny, I bought a ficus at Home Depot for $20 and set it out on my balcony and it was this size by the end of the summer. I don't do anything with it now, it just sits on the patio. If you're anywhere near Florida, you'd be welcome to it as since becoming disabled I don't get out there at all.

  54. Thanks for the shout out the other day dia!
You and the mama brigade are welcome to camp brownie NW anytime!

M- you are amazing keep up the work.

    Lola- love the new mothman

Sunny- my boyfriend loves airplants, you only water them once a week for 15 minutes in a water bath. There are Some amazing creations I have seen using glass spheres filled with airplants, dried flowers that look alive, pretty agates and other rocks. They do lovely with a nice mossy bed. Not a large tree like you are looking for. But something that won't die very easily :) I have a gift at killing my pretty indoor plants, plus the cats eat them!

  55. Welcome back Smash! Did you have fun?

I like your take on Pink. She seems like one of the good ones.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Thanks, Smash. I'm kind of obsessed with poodle moths right now; they're all so cute and fuzzy...I give each of them their own little personality traits. This one is a fuzzy little cat-burglar.

(Yes, it's possible I have too much time on my hands....)

    ReplyDelete
  57. Dia, Sunny, thank you for the love, I just wish I could have saved more of them. Healthcare didn't work too well in my case as eventual hubby was ER Doc so we both saw things we didn't want to talk about or think about ever again. Be confrontational if you see or hear someone abusing a child. It was one of the things that amazed me, people would have no problem complaining because the neighbor left the dog tied up all day in the hot sun. But lot of people saw & knew about what was going on with other people's children-said & did nothing until after the fact. When I asked why, the response was always, I didn't think it was any of my business to butt in on someone else's family's privacy. WTF, really? I've been in grocery stores where, as an example I saw a woman slap a toddler hard across the mouth for crying, declaring, now you will really have something to cry about. I was right in her face FAST letting her know that I would be following her out of the store, taking down her license plate #, & reporting her to DSS. Which I did, plus I yelled at her as LOUDLY AS POSSIBLE, you are unfit to be a parent, how dare you beat a baby up you skanky bitch. You can't talk that way in Court, but it feels good at The Giant Grocery Store to let them know how you really feel. Child abuse is everybody's business. Speak up, report them, hassle them. Call them out.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Dia- we had a fun few days. It never lasts long enough. But the next year hopefully we can stay longer, permits permitting :)
I am having a tough time today getting back into the normal way of life. Things are so simple out there, our world is a messy place sometimes. I actually was just crying over Steve Irwin, he was such an inspiration to me as an animal loving child. His child, Bob, has the same passion and love for nature that his dad did. It breaks my heart sometimes how amazing men like that can go so easily.

  59. Lola- the shop in Seattle that sells all my favorite airplants also has a large, growing more and more, collection of moths, butterflies and Beatles. I may need to go there this week....

    ReplyDelete
  60. I love beetles, they're awesome*.

My favorites are horned beetles, especially the rhinoceros beetles...their little horns are so cute (and you know they walk around making heavy footstep noises-- "boom!boom!").

Butterflies are beautiful and all but don't seem to have much personality. (I know, I know...the other ones likely don't have personalities either; but they LOOK like they do!)

*Except June Bugs...they totally gross me out.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I love scarab beetles, so cute rolling their little balls of dung around. I think they are related to the rhinoceros beetle.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I love Pink. I love her little family. I love that she looked like a normal woman after giving birth unlike many Hollywood women who paraded bikini bodies within 6 days.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Thank you Lola, Syko and Smashbash for all the fantastic recommendations (and the gift offer, Syko!) I think I actually have an artificial tree at my old shop that would look identical to Kat's if I could find that killer planter and top it off with artificial moss balls. Yippee!

And now about that leather bed. . .
Kidding!! I'm always hot - that would kill me

    ReplyDelete
  64. M, thank you for sharing so much, I work with kids, but nowhere near the level you do, I appreciate anyone else who is in the trenches

    ReplyDelete
  65. Smash - normal life is over rated! ;) Can't wait to come visit you on Brownie NW!

M - you are a hero for all that child saving work and your hubby too. The ER is no joke. Maybe you need a month long retreat at Brownie Island once I get Himmmm to cough up the dough ;) Take care of you.

And not to be snarky, but PTSD is a real possibility given all that you've seen and experienced in your job. Trauma is trauma. Your ER hubby too. When you do such challenging work you have to disconnected emotionally to handle the pain of what you see. Now that it's over, it's hard to reconnect bc you have to process so many years of toxic stuff. Big Hug to you. Again, not trying to be snarky or offer arm chair medicine. Just my intuitive response to what you may be going through.

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  66. Lola- I actually get what you mean. I love Beettles too, they are fascinating. :) butterflies are way to pretty to hurt.
