Puddle Of Mudd Singer Arrested - Pane Forced To Make Emergency Landing

Puddle Of Mudd singer Wes Scantlin has not had a very good past few months. His troubles continued this week has he was arrested in Austin, TX after his Jet Blue flight from Boston to LA was diverted to Austin and forced to make an emergency landing because Wes got all ticked off that the flight crew would not serve him booze despite the fact he was already drunk. He argued and was trying to fight with the flight crew which made the emergency landing necessary. Two months ago, Wes pleaded guilty to felony coke possession. He was put on probation for 18 months. This will probably cause that probation to be yanked.

  1. Wasn't Puddle of Mud one of those pseudo christian rock bands a la Creed? Or was that jars of clay? Either way, I don't envy him being in Travis County lock-up.

  5. Puddle of Mudd is not Christian based at all. Listen to Control or Physcho (my husband used to have that as the ringtone for when I called). Scantlin also just got divorced from his playboy bunny ex. It got nasty if I remember correctly and he even signed the divorce papers with a smiley face. He is a major tool though. My sis in law used to date a club owner and we met him one night. Major fuckwad. He is even worse than Fred Durst.

  6. Glad I wasn't on that flight. Think about the delays caused by this dickweed. Ugh - I'd be soooo pissed.

  8. It's hard out there for a washed-up-pseudo-rock-star-who-will-only-be-playing-county-fairs-soon ;(

  9. It's a little late for this guy to try to claim being a "rock star" on his behavior....

  10. Yeah, but did they let him grab a Blue Moon and exit down the evacuation slide?

  11. I JUST figured out that 'pane' in the headline is supposed to be 'plane'. My brain hurts from over-thinking it.

  13. @BigMama - very well played, lady - I forgot that was them (blocked it out perhaps??).

I'll bet this guy may have gotten a little beatdown from the cops who responded to the call. It'd be interesting to hear some eyewitness accounts of this fiasco.

  17. I once saw them in concert and thay were amazing. I looked over at my sister while waiting for signatures and said, that guy must be on something since he is so happy and done so many encores. At the time someone he knew was standing next to me and told me that he was clean and sober. He just loved putting on a show and the whole tour had been that way. It's sad to hear thar isn't the case anymore.

  18. He's had a lot of issues recently. His own band walked off from one concert cause he admitted he was too drunk. They left him up there while he cursed the fans and ended up getting arrested for public intox along with spitting in the back of the cop car.

And he's banned from Graceland for skinny dipping in one of the pools.

  19. @Disco: Yep, Jars of Clay is the other Christian Rock band.

Poor guy..He needs help and I hope he gets it. Sadly most rock bands typically last around 4 years in popularity (save for the Stones, Who and a few others). Then what do ya do? Work in a guitar store for the rest of your life? Same for actors. It's very hard to go from fame to obscurity. I'm surprised there isn't some counseling directed for that specifically. Or maybe there is? Anyone know?

  20. I don't understand what the big deal is about having Coke. I personally don't like Zero, I prefer Diet.

  21. I only know them as the shitty band who's singer looks like pro wrestler Edge.

  22. @Ingrid~ don't diss Edge like that he has embraced the pug look and somehow looks hottttt;)

  24. This guy has a natural songwriting ability, like his music or not. But as one of his songs says he's just pissing it all away. Such a damn shame and waste of a talent.
